Hercules Never Knew What Hit Him! Hercules was fighting a fierce battle with the Scylla, when the Charybdis attacked him from behind! He never saw it coming, and now the mythical duo are holding Hercules hostage. Help his wife, Megara, search for the mighty Hercules, and defeat these tag teaming monsters for good! Because Hercules is a no show, you will have to rely on the workers to clear those boulder ridden paths, however Megara has a few powers up her sleeves, she can turn a fruit tree sapling into a gourmet feast tree in no time at all! This is a Time Management game that requires you to clear debris from roads, fix holes and bridges, build Outposts to house the servants, Farms to feed the workers, Workshops to provide wood and Mines to produce gold. There are three modes of difficulty to choose from, Relaxed (no timer) Casual, and hardcore Expert. The goal is to earn three gold stars per level, if you complete the level within the gold time, a section of an ancient castle will be revealed. Each level has a hidden puzzle piece to collect, which looks more like a stone slab, and I will admit that I kept forgetting to look for the puzzle piece because I was so focused with the tasks at hand. There are also several Achievements to earn for all kinds of milestones such as using two different bonuses in the same level. This TM game allows for multi clicking tasks to pile up when all workers are busy, by flagging the tasks in a queue, a second click will cancel the task. (some TM games don't allow you to multi click several tasks) This game is also Windows 8 touch screen compatible! Before the start of each level you will be given a list of tasks to complete such as, collecting specific amounts of resources, building altars to worship the gods, destroying crystals, or clearing the path to several mirrors and then directing the mirrors toward the obelisk to destroy it. As you progress, you will receive bonuses on your meter. Once the meter fills to the desired bonus, you click to temporarily activate bonuses such as speedier workers or more resources, however once you use that bonus you will have to wait until the meter refills before you can use it again. (these bonuses are a necessity to achieve gold time when you get to the harder levels) The Hercules TM series is perfect for newbies because the mechanics of the game are easy, some Time Management games require you to construct the correct building from a wide range of options, if you choose the wrong building, you will be unable to complete the tasks given much less complete the level within the gold time! Because these games are easy, it makes the game less frustrating and more entertaining, enjoy! January 4, 2015
Finally!!! At long last Big Fish has taken a break from their insistence that we all play HOGs to grace us with a new TM game! If you like the previous Hercules, you will like this one as well. I only played for 15 minutes or so before deciding to buy, but the only real difference I've seen so far is that this time Hercule's wife is in charge and she activates the plants instead of lifting heavy objects. Also, she just stands around while waiting for a job instead of resting in a hammock like Hurcules did. You can queue jobs (as usual) and unlike any other TM road clearing game, you can even queue a job that you do not have the resources for and the workers will get to it when they eventually do have the resources. Thank you BF for finally giving me a game worthy of spending my credits! January 5, 2015
This time, the wife is in charge Based on the demo: Let me start off by agreeing with other reviewers on something. It is more of the same old - in terms of its predecessors. But that's not a bad thing if the game is good to begin with. If you make a sequel, you can't really go too far outside the box or it isn't really a sequel is it? But rather its own game in its own right. I was able to complete 11 levels plus a bonus in the demo time and that time just flew by. The graphics are the same as is the gameplay. Like in the 2nd installment, you have a 'puzzle piece' to find in each level which you will need to complete the puzzle after you finish each 'land' (ie 1.***, 2.***, 3.*** etc). I was a bit disappointed that there is no mini-game at the end of each 'land' (at least I couldn't find one and I looked pretty hard). Based on my interpretation, it appears there are around 50 levels plus 5 bonus levels as well as the puzzle levels. There is an achievement system like in previous installments. You have 3 methods of gameplay to choose from - 'relaxed', 'normal' and 'expert'. So there is a choice for any and every TM player. Aside from there being no 'mini-games', my only complaint is the 'puzzle' level at the end of each 'land' is boring. All you do basically, is assemble the jigsaw. I'm giving this game five stars cause of how much I do like it, but I'm gonna lower the 'fun factor' rating due to my not seeing any 'mini-games' in this installment. January 4, 2015
Excellent - Another Home Run Have played all three games in the series. Enjoyed this one the most. Challenging levels, fun storyline, great graphics. Can actually "see" what items are required when you click on a building or objective. Good replay as well. I like to get 3 stars on all levels. Had to replay approx 50% to figure out what was needed and to get 3 stars and trophies - like the challenge with that. Can also "click ahead" with the entire series. A MUST for me. Can't think of enough good things to say. Went back and played the first two games after playing it. Excellent game. Great fun. Highly recommend. Great job! Please make another!! February 15, 2015
FANTASTIC!!! At last, a time management game for lovers of this genre! Love the other Hercules games, and this one doesn't disappoint. Excellent graphics, cute music, new challenges....love it. Big Fish - this is what we need more of please, and if we could have more along the lines of Adelantado, we'll forgive you for the poor quality of some of your latest offerings. January 4, 2015
Great addition to the series! I really enjoyed this TM game. The level of challenge was perfectly balanced to maximize the fun factor. There were several levels that took repeat tries and strategy in order to achieve gold time. In this installment, Megara grows the berry plants for food. You meet up with yours pals from previous games in different areas which provides diverse obstacles to beat preventing the game from becoming stagnant. Once you beat the game in gold time you can go back through and try to beat the developer records for added challenge and fun. I highly recommend this game. January 30, 2015
Thumbs up Awesome --- not to easy and lots of fun ! have not finished it yet but will do so in the next few hours LOVE IT if your are a beginner you might want to start with the first 12 labours ... just to get the feel for the game January 5, 2015
Great game for TM lovers I've been waiting for a new Hercules game and wasn't disappointed at all, it is fun and addicting. I love graphics and a story line, more important for me that this game is challenging! Keep up with a good work!!! January 5, 2015
Superb I can't get over the musical score. It is delightful and really well done. I usually turn the music off after a while of playing a game but not this time. Great next installment and fun to play. January 9, 2015
Fun Times Continue One of my favorite games to play, the third installment is much of the same game-play as the previous installments. 45 levels of challenging game-play with three modes of difficulty to choose from. A must have for any TM follower. January 4, 2015
