Finally a challenge in a match 3 game I love match 3 games but find a lot of them boring especially if there is no timer. Strategy replaces the time here so it is a real challenge if you always want to get 3 stars (as I always do). There is also a timed challenge after every 6 games where you have to build a garden in a limited time. I have only played for about 40 mins so far but I will definitely be buying. Love it. Innovative Make sure you READ directions , than proceed, Not your usual M3 game. Give it a chance. It really "grows" on you. June 22, 2015
a strategy lover's dream I was just expecting a run of the mill M3 game, the usual trying to get matches in tight corners or heart pumping action trying to beat a clock, NOPE. This game is for those who love strategy but it has the nice benefit of match 3 games with falling cascades of tiles and the simplicity of matching. First of all, the beautiful bright colors and large game tiles make it a delight for the eyes. The number of moves to accomplish goals are sufficient using them in combo with the power tools so thus far I'm not tearing my hair out. I've got a lot of levels to go but good thing there is easy replay at your fingertips if you want the 3 star rating. I love star grading. The game is very unique in it's gameplay. You are shown an item in a hand and you get to place it anywhere on the board as long as it makes a three combo. The item you switch with becomes your new item to place. Wow, I love that strategy. The mini-game is for all who like the clock, those who don't have option to skip if fail, so you do not get stuck trying to get to the next level, thank goodness. Every 6 levels you get to plant the items you've collected in the game, how cute is that. It's a lot of fun trying to duplicate the garden image. Using a diagram you must lay the stones, dig, plant and water your garden in the exact image. Be sure you get the colors right. This is a very long game having plenty of levels, good buy for your bucks. But the levels are not super long to clear which is great. I hate those games where you have to collect a thousand pieces of wood, wheat, and stones which can get very monotonous. The pace here keeps you moving. Also there are lots of items to keep your interest. They give you different obstacles to overcome and quotas of items to collect. There are many approaches using your tools you can use to complete your goals and get better scores. May 20, 2016
Flower Fiesta Another great matching game to play June 23, 2015
Don't give up too quickly on this one Before playing this game, carefully read the instructions. There is a lot happening and it's very different. It's more about strategy than speed (except for the garden level). It's really designed for an iPod/Pad, so the game area only takes up a quarter or so of the screen. Still, the graphics are clear and colorful. There are 120 levels of match 3. After every 6 of those there is the timed garden making level. You have an seed in your hand and must place it to make a match. It's not timed, but you have a limited number of moves, so you need to be careful about where you make your match. There are goals to meet such as number of resources collected and clearing areas. There are bugs to eliminate. If you make a match of more than three, some seeds on the board will be worth more. The icons do not always drop straight down to fill the empty spots. Scoring depends on number of matches made and number of moves left at end of game. You get one to three stars depending on how well you did. After 6 levels there is a timed garden level. You have to make a path, clear ground plant and water seeds. The time is very short. Not sure if you need to pass this to progress. Didn't enjoy this level as much as the match 3 levels. I found this to be a fun thinking game. I only got up to level 16 in the hour demo as I wanted to get those three stars and had to replay some levels several times. I was surprised when the time ran out. Just one caveat - as this is a Mac only game there is no forum. April 28, 2015
I Actually Got Hooked! I ignored the bad reviews and gave it a chance, and I ended up buying this game with my free coupon. Since I know that match 3 games start out easy and build to more complex levels, I was patient and took my time reading the instructions after each level (which by the way, were very clear). I don't like timed games (or not having the option) and the main part of this game is NOT timed, but you are limited to a certain amount of moves to win the level. This was appropriate for this game and I enjoyed the challenge. However, every sixth level (which is the "planting the garden" level), you are on a VERY short timer to complete that task. This part I was able to complete early on, but so far, I have skipped these levels (which is a plus!). After I "master" the main levels, I will go back and figure out how you can fit everything in such a short amount of time! This is the only reason I gave this game 4 stars instead of 5 (at this time). Yes, I get irritated at "jiggly hints", but in this game, you have time to decide what the next move should be, and those hints are there only to let you know what is available, not what move you should make. I was going to spend maybe a couple of hours playing this game, and then get on to other chores for the day.... but.... I got hooked on this game and ended up playing much longer than intended. I was looking for something different and fun, and this game fit the bill. I'm on level 66 at this point, and maybe I'll stop for the day. In conclusion, I'm not saying this is one of the best games I've ever played, but I have thoroughly enjoyed it, and I felt that some of the reviews may throw off some gamers from at least trying it and giving it a fair chance. Very nice, but not really for PC This is a nice game, kind of a "truly different" match-3. I have enjoyed playing it enough so I don't mind replaying levels I missed the first time. The game requires you to play slowly and think about each move, because that is the only way to win the more advanced levels. The problem is that the game is formatted for smart phones and tablets, so it feels like you're playing it on a small slice of your PC screen. I bought it with a credit, and consider it a good deal as a bonus game. But I would not argue that it can compare with a true PC game, or that I might consider it good value at full price. Would be Great on iPad or iPhone This is a clear to see match 3 game that would be great while waiting for an appointment or a plane. Designed for a smaller screen, this game is colorful, clear, and easy to learn. Fun factor is good for a quick 10 or 20 minutes of waiting or a short coffee break. I really enjoyed the gardening challenge seen every 6 levels which requires visual planning and spatial skills. June 22, 2015
Better than I expected This game is not as simple as it looks. Yes, there are better games out there, but I really am enjoying this one. I think I played around 20 levels so far, and haven't had a problem yet. I have found the planting levels ok if I try several times. So far there have been new things to do, new powerups, etc, so I did buy it. :) June 23, 2015
Strategy Game This is not your typical match 3 game, but really more of a strategy game. It is not timed, you have so many moves to accomplish the goals. You have a flower in hand and you must decide where to make a match 3 (or 4 or 5 etc) so that you get the right flower to make your next move. I like it - used a free game coupon to buy.
