Haunted Hotel: Eternity 3.9 5 12 12
Haunted And Deadly Hotel Providing security to a well known professor should be a piece of cake, and earning $100,000 is just icing on the cake, right? Wrong! Within minutes of signing the contract, a crazed sniper opens fire on Professor Kevin Reynolds, barely missing him as he's delivering his speech! The head of security,Tobias Irving, suggests hiding out at a nearby hotel, the Hotel Eternity, which just might take you an eternity to escape the evil residing within. Someone or something wants this philanthropist to pay for his sins, until now, nobody questioned his methods for developing advanced medicines. What has the good professor done, detective? Can you play along with this mad man's "game of salvation" to save the professor, when one wrong answer could be your last? This is yet another fantastic Haunted Hotel, with awesome graphics, and enough creepiness to last a lifetime! I favor the Collector's Edition because of the 20 Morphing Objects, 12 Morphing Masks, 19 clever Achievements, and 4 Puzzles to assemble with collected Puzzle Pieces, but this Standard Edition is still over the top with entertainment value. Some of the inventory items have Plus Signs requiring some type of interaction before using, such as a quick puzzle to solve selecting key buttons in a specific order. The Hidden Object Scenes are varied, list finds that reveal fragments under the items found, and even silhouetted shape finds where you must find items that match the silhouetted shapes shown. The Mini Games are fun but a tad bit on the easy side, finding matching pairs of codes, jigsaw type puzzles, arranging dials to point in the correct direction using clues given, or sliding tiles around using a single empty slot to maneuver the tiles. The Collector's Edition has Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music, Achievements, Collectible Masks, Puzzle Collection, a Secret Room, Morphing Objects, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy! WELCOME TO HOTEL ETERNITY! REVIEW FROM COMPLETED GAME, BONUS AND EXTRAS. I really enjoyed this game. There is: * Casual, Advanced, Hardcore and Custom modes of play; * Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Interactive map; * Super puzzles. The graphics are very good - kind of dark and grayish. There is some colour which is not gaudy or too bright. It is easy to roam around to collect everything you need. Sound was very good. I liked the music which was orchestral and piano. The story line is very easy to follow which is a big plus for me. The hidden object games are interactive straightforward, silhouette and answering questions by finding certain items. Most of these didn't take long to do, although a couple of them took me a while to figure out how to do them. I loved the mini-games and super puzzles. There were a huge variety of mini-games, with all the classics we love. Some of these I got straight away and others took me a while. The super puzzles were not too hard and I worked them out without becoming frazzled or grumpy. So, the big question is do you get the CE or SE? My personal preference is the CE because you get all the extras of an Achievements Room (about 22 achievements I think), finding 12 Trophy Mask Collection in game and bonus; finding 20 morphing objects in game and bonus; finding the photo fragments in game and bonus and a Secret Room. So you really get your money's worth here. Whether you get the CE or SE, this game is definitely recommended to put in your collection. Happy playing fishies. May 29, 2015
Engaging storytelling, easy puzzles The best part of this game was the effective use of cut scenes to tell a compelling story. While the actual story itself was not unusual, the pace, visuals and voice acting kept me wanting to know more. The graphics are really beautiful and spooky and create an eerie atmosphere. There is a good mix of hidden object scenes and silhouetted object scenes. The puzzles are incredibly easy and mostly forgettable, but the storytelling made up for this deficiency. January 18, 2016
Great Plot! So disappointed after I bought it that there wasn't more than a couple more rooms to explore. Loved the storyline The hidden objects were great, but a big let down in the end. June 12, 2016
Is it REALLY Haunted This is posted after playing the entire game. Elephant has done it again. A fun, and interesting game. I really enjoyed it. The graphics, as always, are top notch and the sound is excellent, especially the voice overs. Music goes along with the action at the time and isn't annoying. Now the negative for me. If you love mini games, you're going to love this one. It seemed as though they were one right after another with a hidden object scene tossed in to make me happy. There are a lot of mini games and if you're like me and don't particularly care for them, you can always hit that wonderfully fast charging skip button. The minis, while plentiful, aren't really all that difficult. I played most of them. Hidden objects are varied which kept my interest throughout. You have an interactive map which takes you where you want to go and shows where there are things to do. There isn't a lot of running around back and forth, which I like, but what there is the map will assist you. Hint and skip are fast filling and there are numerous levels in which to play. Interesting story, that I won't go into. Big Fish does a great job giving you an idea of it. I was caught from the beginning, but I did get lost a bit. The reason is probable I had to do this in two days and lost the connection. I'm sure it will be clear next time I play. Other than that, the writers who develop these stories are darn good. I really did enjoy playing this and I think you probably will too. With the touch of syfi and reality mixed, the games, the graphics and sound make it well worth the time to at least try out. Enjoy! killed an afternoon The game was fun. Spent the entire afternoon playing and ended just as I was getting sick of playing. Nothing worse than a bad game that never ends or a good one that is too short. this was just right. I played in custom and didn't need much help. The only mini game I skipped was the air ducts. I couldn't figure out which way to go and the map didn't help. 2015 September 11, 2015
DARK AND HAUNTED The graphics are very dark and grey to suit the atmosphere of the hotel. There are TV screens maps, a good hint button and various levels of play. I liked all the mini-puzzles and several mega puzzles. The hidden objects vary from lists to find 5 of something, to silhouettes. June 14, 2015
trying to find out what the eternity program is there is a custom level. a hint system that will teleport you so no map. i played on custom. you have been asked to come to this location to provide additional security for a man. he is part of the project, eternity, and he is planning to unveil it shortly. he is then kidnapped by a mysterious person hiding behind a face mask and a voice changer. he wants to kill the kidnapped man because the project has been taking lives. you follow him to get the kidnapped man back. sequel.....feel sure. Addictive game Interestingly, ominously ... Very nice game, I liked it. June 4, 2015
Too short, too easy. I completed the SE version on 'hardcore' in about 3 hours. You get an interactive map. Three difficulty settings and custom settings are available. This is a well-made game with good voice-overs and fitting musics and sounds. I liked the look of it, too, a bit gritty, mostly greyish-blue colours that contributed to the doom and gloom atmosphere of the game. The story is a bit science fiction-ish which is a nice change, although I'm still waiting for a real sci-fi storyline. Where are the aliens and UFOs in HOGs? Anyway, the story didn't really grip me, and the end was rather aprupt and left me a bit disappointed. The minigames and HOGs were with few exceptions very easy, but there are a lot of them and a good variety, too. I quite enjoyed what I'd call the "adventure-style" puzzles where you have to find a way to e.g. repair a tv. There wasn't much running around required, either, which is always a plus. If you are a fan of the series, if you don't mind the short duration, or if you like less challenging games then you might enjoy this one. June 3, 2015
