Challenging, addictive fun Yay... so glad to see yet another installment by this developer. I've enjoyed them all, yet, admittedly I have yet to get Gold level on ONE of the end levels of the last episode [and it appears I'm not the only one because there is no walkthrough anywhere on the web that includes it and many have the same issue]. Regardless, I was eager to check out the new edition and was not disappointed. It takes lots of strategizing and occasional redo's, but thus far I've managed Gold Stars on all levels and am a little more than half way through the game [playing in between lots of other games] so it IS doable [albeit with the aforementioned planning]. So if you enjoy casual-light turn-based TM games where you have to put on the ole thinking cap, you will love this [and the other] games by this developer. Check it out and give it a bit of time [and go easy on yourself] to be fair in your assessment. Have fun & happy gaming! September 17, 2014
YAY another great TD game! Tower Defense games are my favorite, and this one did not disappoint! Thank you BFG for getting more of these games for us to enjoy. If you, like me, love TD - you won't be disappointed. If you find it gets hard too fast, make sure you have it on the Easy setting, and replay whatever games you didn't get 3 stars on so you get to upgrade the weapons faster (range and strength is what I do until I get those up to 3 stars). I love a challenge In one way I can understand why this game has been given low ratings but then its because its so difficult that its getting low ratings and I have all the tower defense games from this company and have beaten them all fairly easily and I needed a challenge and this one is certainly a challenge. It is doable and it makes you think which is why I love this game so much. If you have never played this company's TD games before then do not try this one but start of with something like Royal Defense which starts fairly easy but still becomes a challenge.Their games are the same style but this one is a lot faster and you need to think. As I say not for the beginner in this type of game August 30, 2016
Love The Challenge, Those Dino's Are Wicked Fast! Personally I loved the change of pace and the Dinos in this not so easy Tower Defense game. The object of this game is the same as most TD games, protect the castle from the enemy but in this case, protect the time machine! There are existing tower platforms that you build the weapon of choice upon such as Crossbows, Cannons or Catapults. You earn loot for each dino you kill and use that loot to build or upgrade the weapons. You will also earn I-volve helix points according to how well you do in each of the several waves of attack. These Helix points will be used to purchase upgrades to each weapon such as more damage, more range or even lower costs. You can also purchase common upgrades such as stronger time machine health, larger starting budget or more loot collected from each dino. As you progress you earn bonuses such as meteor showers, earthquakes or poison to take out large groups that are not being killed by the weapons but these bonuses take a while to recharge. There are different types of dinosaurs, Fast-OH-saurus a fast dino but fast to die, Spinesauraus is also fast but with medium health, Necrosarus can restore his health overtime and is immune to poison, Bulldoggysaurus who is slow moving but has lots of health, Crabosaurus can restore the health of his allies, Chamelonos summons bulldoggysaurus and can disable towers, Carnotaurus improves the character of his allies and even more as you progress. IMO this is a really fun and challenging game, see what you think, enjoy! September 15, 2014
Good but Tough Tower Defense Game I was initially frustrated with Dino R-Rage because the normal upgrade path, damage and range, didn't keep up with the rate of difficulty as levels were finished. After a fruitless internet search for a walk-through, I found a comment that minimizing defense tower costs were the only worthwhile perks to buy early in the game. This made sense because the cost reduction was 2.5 times larger than the damage increase and allowed the number of towers to grow fast enough to keep up with the early increasing difficulty level. I tried it and it made the game playable! Good strategy for tower choice, combinations, placement and upgrades were still vital. These got me to about level 11 on easy. From there it was necessary to start playing the lower levels at normal and hard difficulty to earn enough upgrade points to increase tower damage and range sufficiently to progress further on easy. By working back and forth on each difficulty level and being willing to accept one and two stars on a level and coming back to finish them w/three stars later, I was able to complete the game with 3 stars on all levels, 360/360 points. It's doable with fortitude and patience but not for the casual player. If you enjoy a serious challenge, this game is for you! December 15, 2015
great classical tower defence, but with that little more. Great game. April 16, 2015
Not a favorite Love TM and castle games but agree with earlier comment... this game gets to hard to fast and is frustrating.... the characters are difficult to see because they are so small which adds to the games frustration level. September 15, 2014
Somethings not right.. I love TD games, and I loved this one.. for the first 4 levels. On the 5th level they only start you with enough "bones" to buy one basic tower then right away you get too many things to battle with just the one tower so, you get defeated really quickly. I wonder if this is a glitch in the game because it's only level FIVE for gosh sakes! Oh well, I probly would have purchased it, had it not been for that. :/ September 20, 2014
Tough but beatable This tower defense game is one where easy is tough. No denying that it can be frustrating, I have not even finished it yet. At the second group of scenes I am only able to play one or two at a time before they bother me. This is a challenge game, and occasionally I believe that it is intentionally tough just to prove that the writers can make it so, and it is really tough. Unfortunately, it is probably too tough to really be fun. Sometimes I wonder why I keep playing it and question my own sanity. I recommend this game only for those who understand it is not a causal game. September 27, 2014
not a marble popper i downloaded the game because the previous reviewer said it was a marble popper, not a tower game. its a tower game. i like marble poppers, but i'm not a fan of tower defense. that said, if you like tower games, this seems like a good one. i'm not that familar with the genre, but it has good graphics, the music isn't bad, and the creatures you get to blow up are kinda cute. i would recommend it to a tower player.
