Blue Tear 3.3 5 23 23
Good solid game that deserves better reviews. I gave this game an extra star just because I feel it's been too harshly reviewed. It is a VERY long game--about twice as long as most of the games here. There's a lot to do, many interesting locations, and a very helpful hint system. There's a fair amount of adventure mixed in with the hidden object scenes, which is something I look for, as I'm an old-school adventure gamer. I always like to see stories that are a little different, and this game has one. This is an enjoyable, long game that I feel gives good value for your money. November 25, 2015
great SE, complex Got stuck a few times, darker than I like, but major enjoyment. Go for it! November 7, 2014
Blue Tear Another great hidden object game to play July 1, 2016
GREAT GAME! CALLING TRUE ADVENTURE LOVERS! YAY! Demo is a bit deceiving and could turn away gamers. Why? Game is challenging with no walkthrough and gamers have to think for a change. Interactive map and hint system are quite helpful, yet, thinking, figuring out, trying different tools still is involved. Hand-drawn, beautiful scenes start gamers transported back in time to a far-away land among believers in dark magic. The main object of their focus and the root of problems is, you guessed it, the "Blue Tear". Is it cursed? Point and click adventure gamers will totally love this game as did I. There are challenging hidden objects and puzzles as well. Along with the helpful interactive map, hint and skip options will assist any gamers who find themselves stuck. There's also an excellent, separate walkthrough online. I initially played and purchased then let it go for a while. Went back to the game and have been playing the past two to three days as game is rather lengthy. This is a great game once you get settled in and leave comparing other games aside. Takes time, patience and the skills we should have acquired by now in pc gaming. This is the type of gameplay that we wait for and rarely find. No fireworks, just good old gaming! Enjoy! -Mama Mia- October 15, 2016
Very nice Yes, maybe it's a bit old fashioned but it's a very nice game, long and enjoyable. Graphics could have been better but I've found it very pleasant to play. I'll look for other games by these Devs. September 18, 2016
Less Hidden Object, more of a Point and Click Adventure.... Played the entire demo and found I was enjoying the journey. It is not a simple game even on the lesser of the 2 levels. I chose Beginner just to get the feel of the game. I intended to do a 2nd profile to see how Expert differed from Beginner, but my time ran out before I knew it. That's a good sign for me. I found the graphics quite colorful and the ambient sounds appealing. The setting in Africa (at least in the first hour) was a relaxing albeit sometimes challenging adventure. There are voiceovers, at least in the opening scenes. There are also 'voices' of a sort which come from the 'spirits' on the wall of one area. I thought I was hearing wrong when I tried to match the voices of those 'spirits' with the text LOL. I never did figure out what those 'spirit' voices were actually saying, but didn't care because the text told the story perfectly. The Hint button on the easy level was quite helpful. If you need to go to another location, it shows that location, but it will not transport you from that graphic. We do acquire a map, although I didn't test to see if there was any jump function when utilizing it. Length? Who knows. Will it appeal to everyone? Not too likely. But I personally found that when I approached it as a P&C Adventure, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Certainly not a cookie-cutter game....nor is there a cutesy helper. Although it would have been a hoot to have the "guard goat" take that role! :) It's a buy for me. October 30, 2014
TIME TRAVEL TO AFRICA I played the whole one hour free trial on the beginner mode and I'm glad I chose that mode. This game is not easy and the hour seemed to go by very quickly. The premise behind the game is that you inherit an old mansion haunted by a black devil and somehow you must save your family from this devil by going back in time to fix something bad that one of your ancestors did. The time travel takes you back to Africa. Once the game moved to Africa, it got more interesting. There was even a meerkat to contend with, one of my favorite animals. The HOS were not easy and I actually needed to use a hint or two. I only ran into a couple of mini puzzles and they weren't that hard. There is an interactive map, which is unusual for an SE game. There weren't that many locations on the map so hopefully there won't be a lot of back and forth. The hint button also worked well outside the HOS, which is a great plus in my opinion. The graphics were clear and bright but the items in some of the HOS were extremely hard to separate from the background. I did not use any sound, so cannot comment on that part of the game. I also don't have a feel for how long the game maybe, based on just the hour I played. Probably depends on how many times you return to the same location. This looks like a good solid game to add to your collection. October 30, 2014
Very engaging The tittle doesn't say much but this game is a hidden jewel. The hidden object games are a nice mix of surprises. It has a map and is a good length for the money. It is not too easy and not too hard, it was just right for me, Try it you will like it. February 27, 2015
Excuse me I've got this weird baby doll following me! TITLE: BLUE TEAR HOW MANY SETTINGS? Two: Beginner and Expert GRAPHICS: Blueish grey, well drawn, interesting places to explore; a little dark for my taste but well done. MAP: Yes, and interactive. Every once in a while it would not help and then you had to back track. Very good challenge. PUZZLES: There were a good lot of puzzles, and I got most of them, Some I skipped because they were taking too long to figure out or were repetitive, but most I quite liked. HOS: Very challenging, and didn?t notice too many repeats, when they did repeat a scene they mixed things round. (I needed my magnifying glass a couple of times!) MUSIC was appropriate and fun but got a bit irritatingly repetitive after a while so I turned it off. STORY LINE: You have inherited a creepy old mansion that you and your friends decide to investigate. Not a good move: your friends are scattered and put in a weird stasis and you are transported to a distant tropical land to figure out what is going on. MY TAKE: Great game, kept me moving along, good HOS and puzzles. I give this a solid 4. Good work devs! LAST PLAYED: 11/18/15 November 18, 2015
Terrific Old School Game, buuuuut... So you see my ratings are all maxed, so why the 4? Glitchy as heck. Loved the art, loved the story, the game play was like old games where you had to think, a LOT, but stuff made sense logically and without a hint immediately available the challenge was fun! But lots of little errors (wrong text, wrong indications on map, mini-games not working exactly right, clicking not working right, and one all out crash) definitely dented this otherwise terrific, and long!, game. I hope the development company gets some backing, and a new code writer, and goes forward. Love to see this level of logical challenge again. July 22, 2016
