Forgotten Kingdoms: Dream of Ruin 3.9 5 13 13
When Dreams Become Reality King Rigel of Aeria has sent the Ambassador to deliver a marriage proposal from Prince Armus to the beautiful Princess Selena of Tida. Unfortunately the Princess declines because of recurring nightmares of this very day. In her dreams she vividly sees her kingdom in ruins and her mother Queen Beatrix murdered at the throne! The very moment the Princess declines, magical chains bind her and she falls into a coma that not even Maera the Healer can cure. In a fit of rage the Queen casts a binding spell upon the Ambassador as well, if she dies, so shall you! You must now travel the globe in search of the cure that binds the two of you both physically and mentally, you only have two dawns before the life elements are drained from the sleeping Princess! (try kissing her it's worked before!) What's not to love about a game filled with Kings and Queens, Prince's and Princesses, magic, deceit and flying tigers? You can use your wicked fast winged beast to transport you instantaneously to other Kingdoms any time you want by simply clicking on the tiger and then choosing the desired location. As soon as you arrive at Vivid Basin the home to temperamental but wise dragons, you will find a very useful tool, the Legendary Gauntlet of Elements capable of using elements such as fire, water and wind. Simply choose the appropriate icon located on the bottom right of the screen and blast away! The Hidden Object Scenes consist of slightly interactive list finds such as clicking on a box to reveal the contents inside or picking up several miniature planets and placing them onto an astrological chest. I will admit that some of the objects were so well blended that I had to use the hint button (did anyone else find the letter T on their own?) The mini games are clever and entertaining, some simple puzzles such as swapping identical sized tiles to complete a picture, some more complex and frustrating such as guiding three different dragon figurines along sections of a path that are turned individually, but it is sometimes necessary to backtrack in order to get to the correct pattern. The Collectors Edition was more entertaining in my opinion with Collectible Nobel Kingdom Cards, Achievements, Unlockable Bonus Trivia, Wallpaper, Concept Art, Music, Art Gallery, Extra Hidden Object Scenes and Puzzles, a built in Strategy Guide and of course a Bonus Adventure Chapter, enjoy! I LOVE FLYING TIGERS What's wrong with you people? These flying tigers are awesome and magic mirrors are just a staple of this fantasy type world. I love the story line. I like all the water pouring down these devs have created a new world for us to enjoy.I didn't get as far as the magic mirrors before I bought it. It's beautiful and fun to play as well as having an intriguing story line. I say go with the flow, buy it you'll love it, October 20, 2014
New Favorite This is my new favorite game to date! If you played a lot of hidden object games, you will love this. They don't make it too easy, this game will take time to complete. They keep you busy with different objectives and keeps you interested in the game. If you get stuck, just look in the guide and you will move on. Being so disappointed in how non challenging some games have been lately, this is a nice surprise. Can not understand the negative reviews for this game, except if you don't purchase the collector's edition, you don't have the guide to look at right away if you get stuck and that could get frustrating, but that is our choice as players and has nothing to do with the game. The game is just amazing!!!! October 31, 2014
PLEASE don't shoot the messenger! I am having too much FUN WoW. Has everything.Including flying tigers, portals, warring Kingdoms, magic, love stories.Your life is lincked to the . princess fate. The link allows her to give you some tips. You need all the help you can get! Tons to do,Lots puzzles, lots of problem solving. I found the game challenging. I needed the guide, and the hint button not much help.Had to use Forum twice. Over all AWESOME! November 1, 2014
Hidden gem HO game Excellent game. Starting off with the bond being created between your character (the ambassador) and the princess with the importance of your mission helps influence you to work through the game as fast as possible to ensure you both survive. Really enjoyed the HO scenes where you had to put items back in their place, made you keep your eyes on little details through the worlds that would help you with those scenes. Mini games were sometimes easy, sometimes difficult, had to use the skip button more than what i would like to have. Overall a really good game. May 28, 2015
Forgotten Kingdoms: Dream of Ruin Great graphics, fantasy/adventurous music a joy to listen too, enjoyable puzzles but most of fantastic story line. Highly recommend. Thanks Big Fish:) March 9, 2016
Fun Hidden Object Game I knew I wanted to buy this game before I finished the demo. October 19, 2014
Sunday's gift: a Good game Based on the Demo: This is a good solid game. It has good mini-games, including an intriguing one where you open gates to paint an object correctly. There are interactive HOPs, excellent artwork, good VOs although no animation during them, and a decent transporter map. I found the ambient sounds rather nice - they went a long way toward helping the story's atmosphere. The reasonably good story line tells about a princess under a fatal spell whom you have to save. You are the messenger who brought her the scroll that put her under the spell and the Queen bound your life to hers - save the princess to save yourself. While there is nothing amazing here, you should find it a solid SE game that will start the week off right. Enjoy! October 20, 2014
Well worth playing I play a lot of these games and it takes something special to make me play longer than the demo, I bought it straight away October 21, 2014
A PRETTY GAME This game features a tiger that flies... a "Flying Tiger." Bwhahahahaha!!! I don't much like games with princesses and castles and dragons and spells, but I decided to try this one since there's not much else going on of the SE variety. The main positive for me was the interesting, clear artwork. The one HOS I encountered before quitting the demo was well done and not that easy, as two or three of the items were very well hidden, and I was forced to use a couple of hints. Puzzles all were the usual things, but I dislike puzzles and habitually skip them. I played on the casual level, and it seemed the skip button filled in about 30 or 40 seconds. The hints fill in about the same amount of time. I also liked that the inventory locks open. Yea! The main negative for me was the story... a rehash of Sleeping Beauty, Briar Rose, The Princess on the Glass Mountain, and every other tale of a princess needing to be rescued. <yawn> But that said, I think this game is worth a try, especially if you like the genre.
