Christmas Eve: Midnight's Call Collector's Edition is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 67.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game. This was a really long game. Great graphics, music and story line. Mini games were interesting. The cc edition was worth the money as the bonus content was all new and long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only ERS can deliver a beautifully bizarre adventure like this! Christmas Eve: Midnight's Call is a Christmas-themed HOPA game - one that balanced the joyous Christmas spirits and some darker elements of the game incredibly well. I was surprised by how solid the story was, it was heartwarming, exciting and cheerful all at the same time. The characters were also beautifully drawn and professionally voiced with lip sync. The visuals of Christmas Eve were the good old-fashioned style we have come to expect from ERS. Still, I felt like the art team at ERS approached each location in the game with more creativity than ever before, or maybe it was because this is a Christmas game in which they can let their imagination roam free. Nonetheless, ERS should really consider amp up their graphics a little bit; imagine how stunning those beautiful scenes would look with sharper and brighter graphics. Set all the nice graphics and engaging storyline aside, yet again, ERS played it safe when it comes to the gameplay. In fact, the adventure part of Christmas Eve was so mundane and easy that I barely need to use the Hint button, just forget about the strategy guide. There were no unique extra features present in the game, except for an annoyingly cute Snowman and a couple of Magnifying Glass Mini-Games which were not at all challenging. The hidden object scenes and puzzles were not very innovative either; the hidden object scenes came in a variety of modes, the majority was fairly easy to complete. While the puzzles were the typical ones, did not really help with the development of the story. In the Collector's Edition, Christmas Eve: Midnight's Call featured the usual gallery items, along with a strategy guide, replayable hidden objects and puzzles as well as general achievements and collectibles. The bonus chapter was surprisingly good though, lasted around 60 minutes for me. I highly recommend for all causal game players!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Excellent Game ... Great Graphic, Sound, Animations, Effects, Voice & Video Bits ... Not Entirely Sure Why Santa Was Added In Here, There Was Enough Story To Make For A Really Good Yarn And Perhaps A Bit More Suspense & Horror ... A Good Game, Perhaps A Little Short ... The Bonus Chapter Was A Nice Addition To Save The Sister And Have A Happier Ending, But Again Very Short ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Christmas with a twist A black swan attacking people in a mostly cheerful snowscene provides great visuals, and the mini games are wonderful. I felt as if I were truly an elf helper, performing all sorts of tasks from assembling toys to crafting a hacksaw crusted with diamond powder. Very imaginative games and fun HOGs, which were a mix of traditional lists and finding differences, which was challenging. The story involves a sibling who opens Pandora's box and eventually tries to overtake the world. Surprisingly, this gothic tale was interwoven nicely into a pristine snow covered landscape. The map was greatly appreciated, since there is a fair amount of tasks and inventory items. Indicators point out where you have completed a scene. An adorable snowman helper performs several actions, mostly by hurling snowballs at items out of your reach. Collectibles are various packages found throughout the game. These presents open up different extras such as wallpapers. A few mini games are easy, but most made me think, like a game where cubes are half red and gold dragons that must all be turned to gold to advance. Overall, this game offers a spirited and imaginative adventure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Fun Surprise For Christmas This was a fun Christmasy game. After the other one that just came out I never expected a second Christmas game so it was a surprise. The graphics are very clear. The mini games were fun. There is a jump map which is always nice. Two sisters were out ice skating when one of them fell through the ice and disappears and now your suppose to find her. Its not a very hard game. It was relaxing and very colorful. Nice for the family, pretty music. There isn't a lot of Christmasy games so this was great! I loved the Christmas tree all lit up. Very pretty. I bought this one and will enjoy playing it again! Thank you for this very pleasant game!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME GAME !!!! Based on COMPLETED GAME AND BONUS CHAPTER. I've just finished this game a few minutes ago, and it was WONDERFUL. It had beautiful graphics, just right for a Christmas game. I found the game to be plenty challenging, because I played with NO black-bar hints. It really put my old brain to work, but in a good way! I took my time and enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere, but even still it seemed to be quite a long game...well worth the money! I thought the bonus chapter was brilliant. Thank you so much, ERS and Big Fish Games, for this delightful Christmastime adventure!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game. Like a couple of other players, I read reviews and usually don't write one. But the first review was so negative I just had to play the demo and wasn't disappointed at all. Going through the main game was fun and the Bonus game is also good and I liked the game play. Maybe for those who want more challenges they might have a different opinion but I thought it was a great buy and am thoroughly enjoying the whole game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Take a Trip to Snow Hill What a lovely thought, a magical town somewhere that preserves the spirit of Christmas. That thought alone is reason enough for this Christmas nut to give this game five stars Enjoyed the gameplay which I didn't have to work to hard at and the graphics I thought were beautiful .Maybe not quite enough extras for a CE but will definitely buy the SE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a Game That Grasps My Interest! I don't review many games but I must say something about this one. I haven't found a game that got me excited to play since Cadenza! This is a masterpiece! The story line is top notch and I loved how they incorporated the holidays! Overall, this was a wonderful, very entertaining game.
