Great Atmosphere! Settled into gameplay that turned out surprisingly good. Count Anthony has disappeared and there's a mystery to be solved. So far, so good. Colors are rich and vibrant. Music has a somber tone appropriate to story line. Not our usual razzle dazzle game which is okay with me as it is easy on the eyes. Items have to be dragged onto the scenes rather than a simple click. There are a few details "off" such as English accents with the characters and location in France, but no biggie. Gamers who are open to diversity and cherish a more simplistic approach, yet, still maintaining great artwork, music, puzzles, story line will appreciate. Enjoy! -Mama Mia- May 25, 2015
Excellent "Old School" Game This is an interesting and challenging game to play Upon starting the game, you will be asked the Screen size that you want to use. (You can change your screen size any time that you start the game). It only takes a few seconds to make the selection and you are ready to play. One suggestion I have is to be sure to "turn off" the Windowed mode. That way you will just have black surrounding your playing screen. No the game screen does not completely fill out my Monitor, but once you get involved with the game, you won't even notice the smaller screen. There is music -- many of the CEs that I have played lately are "silent". Some of the Puzzle Instructions are not clear -- you have to do trial/error or you can "skip" the puzzle. This may be called an "Old School" game and not be "State of the Art" (by today's standards), but is is a good game with an interesting story and variety of scenes. There is a HINT button in the game that will point to things that need to be done within the scene, but it will not tell you where to go next. The HINT also works in the HOP scenes. No there isn't a Map to indicate places of interest/actions--it is a "figure it out for yourself" type of game. This is a very good game to play and well worth a free game credit. June 15, 2015
Enjoy! The first chapter is not hard to go through, and when I go on the next chapter, the puzzles become difficult, diverse and the story is out of my expectation! I like the setting with different themes and when I go through different scenes each by each, I had some fun to find out more clues and do enjoy it. So I recommend this game! May 26, 2015

I like this game This is a pleasant little game with no bells or whistles (which sometimes get in the way of enjoyment of the game). Items do have to be dragged from inventory to where they go and sometimes words are misspelled but neither detract from enjoyment of the game. It's nice just to play the game and not have to look for collected or morphing items and not have to achieve anything. May 26, 2015
A fresh detective game You can find many detective games in BFG but this one is fresh one made by a new team. I thought graphics are ok but some events and mini-games are impressive. Someone who wants to play different detective story could try this. I liked some symbol puzzles, characters plus hogs and had fun in them. May 26, 2015
old fashioned, but interesting 10 years ago, the game would have been great. But without animated persons, without map, without any incdications according possible places, directions and/or actions, it is not state of the art. Nevertheless, it was challenging and took some couple of hours to play through. May 25, 2015
A Very Average Game ... Graphics OK & Sound About Passable ... This Is One Of Those Games That Should Really Shine, But Sadly Lacks A Lot Of Detail, Finishing Touches & Quality Control ... It Does Require You To Think, And That Did Help To Make It Playable ... Only Just ... Worth A Voucher ... Try Before You Buy ... June 8, 2015
Sometimes different is better This is a classic case of read the reviews then try it for yourself. The reviews on this were SOooo bad that I tried it, just to see how bad it really was. And I was so entertained that I paid the 2.99 to finish it. Yeah it's old school, lo-tech, and really really easy hidden object scenes. And the language problem in translation is HYSTERICAL! So instead of being annoyed, I found it a nice break from well done same old storyline games. Its good to laugh so much, and some of the bad translations were so good I kept reading them over again! Some scenes are so bad you wonder....They did this on purpose, right? They KNEW this is funny, right? Very sorry game, but for me, very entertaining. June 3, 2016
Slow Storyline, Mundane Tasks, Archaic Features Derek is a private detective investigating the disappearance of Count Anthony, in France during the 18th century. Supposedly, the entire town flees due to suspicions of dark magic, however I didn't see the connection as to why or how the townsfolk came to this conclusion. Before the game begins, you have the option of choosing the graphics from best to fastest, I tried the best and the fastest and the only thing I noticed was the best graphics took longer to load between scenes but the graphics looked the same to me. There are two modes of difficulty, Casual and Expert, and a feature I've never seen before. I have never played a game that has a Terms of Use and a Privacy Statement in the Options selection, no biggie, I've just never seen that before. I found it difficult to get into the storyline which has been done over and over again, villain in a cloak and mask warning the detective that he doesn't belong here, to give up on the case. The inventory items must be dragged from the inventory bar to the item it's being used on which is annoying, and items with a blue background can be combined by dragging one item to the other. Some of the inventory items you find are really small and unrecognizable. The hint icon will either tell you to search elsewhere or guide you to an area of interest even if you don't have the necessary items to complete the task. The Hidden Object Scenes are slightly interactive list finds, where you click on an item such as a curtain, to remove it and expose the item. Each listed item you find will earn a letter of the alphabet, when all items have been found, you earn a completed verse from a poem, but there was no explanation as to the significance of the verses when all have been found. The Mini Games are simple puzzles, swapping tiles to complete a picture, repeat piano key sequence, or match 12 symbols on bookbinders, none of the games are new, and all can be done quickly. I'm sure some people will love this game, but for me, there was nothing special about anything in this game, nothing to make me want to continue playing. Just not my cup of tea. May 25, 2015
