Pleasant fantasy game from ERS An enjoyable game! Good graphics, voiceovers, mini games. Also good HO scenes, for those of you who enjoy these. I appreciate the option of completing puzzles instead, and found myself completing some HOGs and switching between HOs and puzzles Although the casual mode would certainly be boring for expert gamers, there are a total of four game modes--something for all levels of players. I'm not sure why many reviewers felt this game was too short. I've been playing for more than two hours (SE version), and I think I'm about halfway through the game. I'm playing on an iMac, OS 10.10.5. Although I generally prefer to play strategy and time management games, this is a nice change of pace for a relaxing, fun afternoon of gaming. Definitely worth buying, especially using the Daily Deal, but you be the judge. January 16, 2016
Fun Hidden Object Game For busy working folks on the go - this is the fun kind of game to play in custom mode where you are the boss and can set the hint and skip to 15 seconds and go on with the game! Loved every minute of it! July 14, 2016
A fun, well done game! Hi all. Well, we have the second in this series and yes, I do have the first. This one drew me in almost as quickly as the first game did. Graphics were clean and clear and game play was very good, no problems with anything and the game filled my large screen. Music was soothing, but increased in mode depending on what was happening at the time. Voice overs were excellent, e.g., sinister when needed, loving and kind, silly, loyal and all the emotion of same. Very well done. You do have a funny little helper that jumps and climbs to give you a hand, but he is not annoying. HOPs were a bit different, interactive and straight HOP, but still different. No junk piles. Items were not difficult to find, but I had to think about a couple of them. You can switch to jigsaw puzzles if you wish, which is something I really like as well. Puzzles were not difficult, although a couple did make me think a bit harder. I especially like the riddles puzzle. Hint system is quite helpful and as far as I can see, it does not transport. You do have a lot of back tracking, but not far. The story was a bit different. Yes, a love story of sorts, but I'm a sucker for love stories and I really like this one. It was not overly challenging, but enough to keep me interested and wanting more. The demo was much too short, as I still had 55 minutes left on the clock. Hopefully that isn't a sign that the game will be as well. I think this game will appeal to all levels of players. It was fun and interesting and yes, I am adding it to my ever growing collection. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Thanks for the reviews. January 9, 2015
Be Careful in this forest .... or you may become ..... a TREE!! Based on both the CE and SE demos. While receiving the wonderful wedding gifts from your future husband, he is whisked through a portal (of course! Yet another portal) and off you go to rescue him. Sigh. Ah, true love. Why? Because HIS pure heart is needed to open the Gate of Chaos ..... plunging the world into ..... I'll let you figure out what is going to happen. lol The graphics were done very well. No over-usage of crayons. lol. The voice overs, while done very well, stop and start willy-nilly once you go through the portal. Hmmm. Music was quite lovely ..... violin dominant. Sound fx - OMGosh .... ghostly moans, birds cawing, strange noises. Yep ... creepy. Difficulty: Casual, Advanced, Hard and Custom. HOGs (hidden object games) are slightly interactive lists and riddles. I saw a creepy shadow moving across one HOG. Creepy!. There is an alternate jigsaw puzzle game if you prefer. Mini Games: IMO these outweigh the HOGs by number. Fresh, innovative, new and not entirely difficult. Helper: Yes. Quite different .... and I found it somewhat ..... creepy. (shiver) CE Bling: Besides the usual music, wallpaper, replayable games, there are: * collectible feathers - extremely easy to find as they are right there ..... under your proverbial nose .... when you look/find something else entirely. That''s it. Collectible feathers used to create a giant wing. Sad. Very, very sad. And some of the feathers are in the Bonus Game. So, it seems if you want to complete the huge wing using all the feathers.....you are OBLIGATED to purchase the CE. Sneaky much? I've played the beta. I've played the CE. Now, I've played the SE and read some great reviews (in regards to how helpful they were). This is, apparently, a very short game with a bonus game lasting less than an hour. Maybe 3 hours tops all together. Hmmm. I'm torn. I like the story. I like the mini games. I think this is a fun and cute little game. NOT worthy of using cash to purchase. Definitely use a free coupon or bogo sale. My opinion has changed since playing the CE but I don't know how likely I am to even use a PCC on such a short game. I'd definitely recommend it for Easy or Beginners to this game genre. Experts, I feel, will be bored. For those who like the "Snow White" inspired game (check out one of the mini games to 'get' this reference), I hope you ENJOY! May 23, 2015
Nothing To Distinguish This Game From Other Wedding Tragedy Games King Richard of Misty Islands has been in love with his soon to be bride and Queen, since the day they first met. The King's heart is so full of love that Dark Wing (isn't he a duck?) plans on using his beloved royal heart to feed to the wolves, literally, lunch for the hungry pups! In order to appease the guardians of the gate, Dark Wing (still makes me chuckle) must appease the guardians of the gate, to flood the world with chaos, as if it's not chaotic enough! The guardian wolves represent human emotions such as, greed and envy, and only one more heart is needed to open the gate, you guessed it, the heart of true love! The Royal wedding will have to wait your Majesty, you must enter the portal and save the King, or at the very least his heart, before Dark Wing turns King Richard into....... a tree?! (I know, I know, the story kinda lost credibility here) Once you enter the portal you will save a wee tree, the best I can describe this anomaly, is a miniature tree, complete with limbs for hair and limbs for er..limbs. Whatever he is supposed to be, he tags along to lend you a limb here and there, squirming about whenever his services are needed. There are some features that I liked, the menu and map icons are located directly on top of the lockable inventory bar, and there is a drop down tab on the top left to access achievements (Collectors Edition) and a drop down tab on the top right that accesses an eagle which will eventually have 22 feathers once you find find them within the game. (also Collectors Edition) The Hidden Object Scenes were mostly interactive list finds, but some of the scenes were repeated a second time which is a feature I despise because it's too boring a second time around. One of the HOS that I did find interesting was finding items in a room one at a time as the healer asked you to find a needed ingredient, but this feature isn't anything new either. You can also opt to switch to a jigsaw puzzle instead of Hidden Object Scenes. The mini games were way too easy such as moving dancers of different colors to their matching slots on a board, but I must admit there were a couple of mini games that I totally loved. One of them was choosing the correct object that correlated to several riddles being asked, and the other was defeating a monstrous cave dwelling wolf. The wolf had five lives and you only had three lives, the wolf held a sphere that represented a different element of either fire, water or earth, and you would choose which element would defeat the wolf's element such as water would defeat fire. The Collectors Edition has Wallpapers, Concept Art, Screensavers, Movies, Music, replayable HO"s and Mini Games, Jigsaw Puzzles, Collectible Eagle Feather's, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter. The problem with this game was that is was super predictable, and way to easy, which makes the game kind of boring. I don't mind stories that have been done several times before, as long as the game is interesting enough, but there just isn't a wow factor to keep me entertained. January 10, 2015
a very short game only 2 hours gaming - that's very short. Graphics ok Gameplay ok But only 3 stars because of the short playtime. January 11, 2015
This had so much potential I played the very very short demo. We have another story of wedding day trouble, portals, an evil one ruining the wedding day, etc etc. Graphics were very nice. HOS were OK. Some scenes were used more than once. Puzzles were same old same old. You do get a helper... wait for it.... TREE. Yes, a tree. This really was not my type of game. Maybe with a longer demo, I would have become more involved, but as is, I don't recommend. January 9, 2015
OK, Another Game This is the SE version of a mediocre game - and it's still mediocre. There are four levels of game-play, average HOPs, fair mini-games, and a storyline that is timeworn. I only played the demo, as I can't see buying this game. You are the run- of-the-mill bride; your ordinary groom is kidnapped by the baddie; and you go to the usual rescue. The characters are all very similar, dialogue is just sad, and everything is just too typical. Does anyone at BFG want to consider that we would all be willing to see one great game a week or even a month instead of this kind of middling dreck? January 10, 2015
Too Short! I haven't played a game this short in a long time. I'm disappointed that there wasn't more game time. TWO hours at tops. That's not worth the money IMO. Nothing wrong with the game it was fun and somewhat easy playing...just not long enough, so for that reason, I don't recommend it. 2015 February 17, 2015
A bit too easy and way too short Not a bad game overall with slightly different HOs and very easy mini games. Problem was I finished the demo in 28 minutes and, according to the walkthrough, that's 1/3 through the game. So a 90 minute game? No thanks. January 9, 2015
