Amulet of Dreams is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved this game! I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. It is well designed so that it's fairly easy to decide what to do next. If you can't, you can either use the hint button or check the map, which shows things that need to be done. The artwork is a wonderful part of the game. There are many different scenes where you need to find things you need to complete tasks. In the many HO scenes in the game the objects are fairly hidden most of the time, with only a very few needing a hint. The theme of the game involves magic, but it's not a very dark game. You are trying to help your friend, a young girl who is under some kind of spell, and she is linked to a woman from another time who is also under a spell. In order to help them you must find and use lots of objects so you can move ahead to the different areas. Each area has three or four scenes, and when you have solved enough problems or mysteries there, a window opens to another area and time. There are six areas all together. None of the areas can be totally completed the first time around. There are enough problems remaining in each area to require you to move backwards at times. Using the map seems to work best for traveling backwards, unless you really like backtracking. As I said, I loved this game. It was fun to play, not too dark or frustrating, beautiful to look at, and very well designed. I'd love to play another game by this developer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEAUTIFUL HAND DRAWN ARTWORK! In the age of computer graphics, it's rare to find a beautifully detailed hand drawn game. Dark and dreary is gone! Music is soothing. Hidden object scenes are straight forward. Objects are bright and bold with no hair pulling to find one that is morphing. Interactive map is genius material. No guess work there either! Gamers who prefer to play a more leisurely and captivating standard edition in their down time, will appreciate Amulet of Dreams. More old school is better in my humble opinion especially since developers put their hearts into this gem! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truest Best Friend to the rescue! This is a great game! It is not gloomy or dark or creepy! Just a great story about a boy that is Allison's best friend who has to save her in a parallel world and thwart the evil Ashton Thorne. The scenes are bright, beautiful and cover many locations. There is a variety of puzzles that keep oneself busy, none of them to difficult to figure out. There is a globe (map), which comes in handy for traveling between the different worlds. The hint recharges in a fair amount of time. I highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a good all around game. (This game is a good length, which was great for me.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from trying to re-unite a young girl and boy your friend is changing into another person entirely and you can't figure it out. you go in search of answers and try to figure out what is going on. there is a custom level and a great hint system. there is a diary. some of the HO scenes are really crowded and hard to find the items. i had to use hints more in this game than i normally do. it is still a great game. it has a good length to it and it not a waste of money. you go to different scenes and through different portals, but sometimes you find yourself going back through the portals so put on your walking shoes or use the hints to get where you need to go. sequel...it could happen

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than most Collector's Edition games! Holy Moly are you in for a treat with this game. I had no idea that this game would knock my socks off. I thought it would be a time killer at best but wow was I surprised! I have never heard of the developers but if they keep making games like these, I will be happy to keep buying them!! I usually cannot stand helpers or going into different worlds via portals but this game made them both fun. As for the helper, its a goblin you acquire much later in the game and he's so non-obtrusive that half the time I forgot he was there! So no annoyance there! Also it prompts you when to use him which I normally don't like but in this game I was happy to be told as like I said, I forgot I had him! The portals were done in a new way and since portals are not a new concept, you have to believe me when I say they are well done! They all connect to each other so its easy to find your way back and forth through them not to mention you have the world's greatest map to show you what world you need to go back to because there is a lot of back and forth into the different worlds. Usually that get complicated and I lose interest but its so well done in this game that I looked forward to the new worlds. In each world, there are lots and lots of things to do and some are tricky. There are plenty of hidden object scenes, some interactive silhouettes and others the simple find it kind. There are a lot of puzzles too and they are not hard but they were so colorful and so different compared to other games that I enjoyed them even though they could have had more thinking power to them. I just enjoyed playing this game and its been awhile since its been hard for me to put a game down. Usually I am super bored and can't finish or can't wait to finish! The story line is a same ol one we've had before but the game makes up for it. All of the things to do and see and the beauty of the game makes the story line seem better than it really is. I enjoyed the pace of the game and I LOVED how this game took me around 4+ hours to complete. There are like 7 worlds? They weren't rushed, weren't overly complicated like some surface games but were done with finesse. I felt like I spent just enough time at these locations and the game wasn't being rushed along. I felt like I wasn't ripped off but given a game that was so wonderfully crafted and you can tell the developers put love into it. I would have loved this game 10 times more if it had been a collector's edition. I usually never play the bonus chapters or get bored of them when I play them but I wish there was more of this game. I hope these developers put their heads together and make some more mind blowing games. This game doesn't have achievements, collectibles or any fluff but it doesn't need any. This is one of those standalone games that just knocks your socks off. You won't be disappointed with this one! LOVE!! Cheers Devs! More please!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the game very much, but I LOVE the music in it This is a cool game. I've already played it twice. Even though the game is fun, it's the MUSIC that keeps bringing me back. I really need to find out what that music is. It is SO CALMING and relaxing. I can play this game for hours and hours just for the music, and no, I don't have anything better to do with my life. I am disabled and I basically live within the four walls of my townhouse. Music keeps me sane, lol. If you want a fun game, this is it, and it's not difficult. I immediately bought it just because of the music, but I also enjoy the game. It helps me with my memory problems as well, but I don't know how to explain that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Strong and Enjoyable Game and a Great Value This is one of the best games I've ever played (and I've played a lot). It took longer to finish than most games I've played because there is so much packed in the storyline. The graphics are good and detailed, the various worlds visited are imaginative and logical, and the winning is satisfying. This is better than most collector editions I've played. I remained interested to the very end. I hope they do a continuation game soon. The map was very helpful in finding the next task, especially when you were moving around between dimensions/worlds. This was a comfortable game to play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Refreshing! Such a fun game! I do not miss the plus items (been there, done that). There are very few regular HOP's and that is a good thing for sure. With the help of the map, I usually know where to go and what to do. The flow seems to make sense! Just fun and relaxing with no frustration. More like this, please.
