Prison Break Paranormal Style! What do these people have in common, Colin Smith, Macy Gilberg, Carolina Oldrich, Paul Kimberely, Moira Dyson, Frederick Davis, Henry Tyler, Lucas Bishop and Tony Thornes? They were all Sing Sing prison guards when an incident took place during the execution of an inmate, Hugo Brodie. No one knows for sure whether this was an elaborate prison break, or paranormal phenomenon, but the prisoner vanished into thin air....and a ball of lightning! Five years later, the prison guards present that fateful night have begun to disappear in that very same manner, a ball of lightning and poof! Nothing left but ashes and outlines! Laura has a new assignment from Dr. Bishop, and another New York Mystery to solve! New York Mysteries has done it again, this will be a series known for it's fantastic mysteries, unbelievable cinamatics and over the top extra features. Personally, I prefer the Collector's Edition because of the 35 slow Morphing Beyond Objects, 9 Collectible Waving Kitties, 11 Collectible Statue of Liberties, 8 Secret Organization Capacitors, 7 Ball and Chains, 20 Diascope Slides, and all the Achievements you could ever want, or need! The Hidden Object Scenes are a wee bit scarce, but very entertaining, progressive, interactive silhouette shape finds where you find the first item that matches the silhouette shown and then use that item back into the scene as you uncover clever puzzles, codes and mini games within the Hidden Object Scene! The Mini Games are fairly common puzzles such as a game of "Blocks" or Spot The Difference (actually spot the same) or arranging eagles on shelves so that the metal spheres are adjacent to each other and you can see a spark between them. The Collector's Edition has Wallpapers, Concept Art, Videos, Music, replayable Mini Games and Puzzles, Achievements, Beyond Objects, Collectible Statues, and Collectible Diascope Slides, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy! If you didn't buy the CE, you gotta buy the SE I love this game so much that I want everyone to have fun with it. That's why I submit a review of the SE when I am playing the CE myself. This game is so superlative it?s hard to find anything to say except ?Hurrah!" As I said about the the CE: 1. The world is beautiful and believable. I really got immersed in it. That's the mark of a top notch game. The artwork is so beautiful I set the second game page, showing an autumn day in Central Park, as the background for my secondary desktop. 2. The music is ok. I didn?t turn it off, which I often do. Definitely 5 stars for graphics and sound. 3. The mini-games are what I like the best about HOPA games, and these are great. 4. The HO puzzles are excellent, also. I usually don?t care so much about HO puzzles, so I click all over the screen, finding them as fast as I can. These, though, are interactive. You find things to make something else, which you use to let you find the next thing, which lets you play mini-games within the HOS itself. Wonderful. 5. I think the developers lost one easy opportunity for a puzzle/game where you had to tape a picture together. It should have been a puzzle which we put together, after which we could tape it together. But this is just a quibble. 6. The game is so well built you don't need the strategy guide from the CE. I really think the game is CE worthy because the features include a bonus chapter and replayable puzzles, but if you don't buy CE versions, you should definitely buy this. This review is based upon the first two chapters of the CE. I haven?t played the rest because I am savoring it, slowly, like a fine wine. July 6, 2015
Loved It-Great Game One of the most fun games I have played in awhile. Tired of the same type games coming out so this is a breath of fresh air. Played game and bonus chapter. Not the hardest I have seen but some of the puzzles give you a test. July 6, 2015
More A HOPA Than A HOG and FULL Of 5-Star Fun! Based On Completed Game I bought the CE version of this game without even completing the demo. The story grabbed me and the gameplay sealed the deal. Other reviewers and the BFG description explain the story so I'll just tell you what made New York Mysteries: High Voltage so entertaining for me. Getting me to use my brain is the quickest way to my gaming heart. This one does not "hold your hand" and give you "in your face" answers before you even ask the questions. There are situations where you just have to figure things out for yourself. The "trial and error" element was fantastic. There was one item I tried THREE different tools on before I got the right one...and the game KEPT LETTING ME TRY. Finding the right solution all on my own was VERY satisfying. The hidden object areas consisted of entire rooms and played more like puzzles. ALL were the progressive silhouette type, with very few items in plain sight. I had a bit of difficulty with two of them but, after heading to the forums for help, I discovered what I had missed. GOTTA love those forums and the helpful people there. There were 21 mini-games, good fun, with a variety of difficulty levels. The Devs did a good job placing them and pacing the game. There is a journal that is essential for holding clues to solutions. The story was different than the norm. The graphics were perfect for the subject/theme. Because we have a lot of ground to cover, the jump map was perfect. There were three customizable difficulty options. The CE was loaded with extras. It had a bonus game, strategy guide, four sets of collectibles, 35 morphing objects, 20 "slides" to find, re-play of ALL the mini-games, achievements, seven actual jigsaw-type puzzles of pictures from the cut-scenes, and the other expected extras. The map had icons to show whether all collectibles had been found. The 20 slides were 20 progressively more difficult versions of one game. I'm STILL working on those. The bonus game was a prequel and showed the events that led up to how the main story got started. Very good. Another reviewer said...choose the SE, choose the CE...at least choose one of them! I have to agree. This is one of the BEST games to be released, so far, this year. I enjoyed it so much, I got the previous game in the series...New York Mysteries: Secrets of the Mafia CE. I thought it was every bit as good as this one! Thank you Devs and BFG. Keep them coming! Hope YOU find some fun today. Happy gaming. July 16, 2015

Fantastic Game -- Possibly "Game of the Year" Just wanted to add to all the five star ratings on this game. Some of the best mini-games and hidden objects that I have played in a while. This game was very different from some of the fantasy games. I really appreciate the thought and time that the developers put into making this game. Kudos to both Big Fish and the Developers of New York Mysteries: High Voltage. Keep them coming! July 10, 2015
Interesting Game This game is one of my favorites so far. Normally I don't like hidden object games, I'm a big fan of the point and click games. However this was a different kind of hidden objects. It was helpful to skip a puzzle if you choose too. It wasn't too hard and I enjoyed it to the fullest. August 2, 2015
Positively Charged Game I totally agree with the positive points already made. Played the whole game, enjoyed it all. This game warrants 5*. July 8, 2015
BRAVO!! This was a fantastic game! This game played for a couple of days straight. Took me about 10 hours to get through it and I loved every second of it. Rarely do I find a game that I think deserves five stars but this is one of rare gems. If you agree, check out "Surface: Mystery of Another World". That's another superior game. 2015 October 9, 2015
