Jewel Quest The first game in the jewel quest series. Gameplay requires turning all tiles to gold. Story progresses by way of journal entries using hand-drawn graphics and handwritten notes. Nice progression of boards with increasingly difficult challenges. No option to disable timer, so some boards require multiple tries to master. March 6, 2012
The ORIGINAL AND THE BEST I just love this Jewel Quest. I have had it for years and when I accidently delete it from my computer I go looking for it again...It's quietly challenging and very peaceful :) December 26, 2011
Addictive Fun Loved this game, addicting fun. Looking forward to play the new Jewel Quest games. April 3, 2012
First in a series of brilliant games. The original puzzle, still has great appeal and is challenging enough to keep you playing through to the end. Definitely recommend it! November 15, 2011
A classic I recently started again with the first Jewel Quest and i must say it's still a great game. The first passage may not be that difficult but than the game just kicks in and you will have a harder time and have to think your moves through. It's fun ,it's long ( 180 levels) and if you want to finish it you will have to use all your skills Try it !! January 26, 2012
Jewel Quest I like the whole of this series so far. It is different to play it with different gaming elements December 17, 2013
fun hidden objects games i like to play fun hidden games because they give me good skills on being obsvered around my seroundings. June 8, 2012
Aarrgghhh! Hard But FUN! This is by far the most difficult match 3 game I have ever encountered. Starts off ok, then some strategic relics are buried, which must be matched anywhere from one to three times to uncover them. Storyline is a journal with entries after each win, and there are different idols that slowly come to life as you win each level. The most difficult challenges are when there are buried relics requiring three matches to uncover, and the dreaded black devil with the red glowing eyes that start appearing on the board and they totally get in your way. If you match three of them it will undo the gold you have uncovered. You will definitely have to play some levels more than once in order to win that set. I like difficult, and this certainly fits that bill! Oh, did I mention that there is a timer for each level? Nope, no way to disarm it either........have fun! November 23, 2015
Hooked on Jewel Quest I was introduced to the Jewel Quest series by a friend and started with Seventh Gate. I played all the newer ones and loved them but avoided the first two because I thought they would probably be clunky and not live up to my expectations. Wrong!! While the original Jewel Quest is pre-Pack family and the graphics are not as nice, the Jewel Boards are VERY challenging. Since there is no lateral move into an empty space, I would go so far as to say that some of the boards are more difficult than recent ones. You aren't going to whip through this is a couple of hours and be looking for something to do again. Plan on days (assuming a few hours a day, not 12). It's fun, it's challenging and you more than get your money's worth. March 31, 2012
Fun Match 3 The first of the series, Jewel Quest is an excellent match 3 game to play on those rainy afternoons or just when you want to kill time. The game is basic match 3, there are no HO scenes or story scenes. The story progresses by journal entries that you can read if you want. They don't have any impact on the game. This is a very low tech game. If you are used to high speed, lots of flashing lights during a game, this is not the game for you. Great game for beginners. January 17, 2012
