Off The Record: Liberty Stone Collector's Edition is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tropical Paradise Lots of extras in the CE. If you collect the beach balls it unlocks 3 hidden puzzles and 3 hidden hops. In the extra you have to click on the beach balls to see the extras. These extras are pulled from different Eipix games. Hops-Dark Parables: The little mermaid and the purple tide, Dead Reckoning: Brassfield Manor, Hidden Expedition: Smithsonian Castle. All CE Puzzle-Danse Macabre: Deadly Deception, Myths of the world: the heart of Desolation, Phantasmat: The endless night. All CE. I collect 43 Seahorses. 12 letters and 12 morphs. * The guide only has 8 morphs but there are 12. Has Souvenir Room. If you miss one of the seahorses you can go back and get it after your done. Just go to collection and when you see the seahorses you see the one you miss click on the missed space and it will take you to the scene and then get it. You can replay puzzles and HOPS and Video. The dancing island band is great from the main game. 5 chapters + Bonus. You chose the setting of sparkle and I set mine way up because I can and I like it. Bonus chapter has hop under water in the pool and more. I loved the game can you tell?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game Series. Really good graphics and colors. The scenes were many and interesting. The game had extras to find; morphing objects, gold seahorses and beach balls. At the end you got a few extra games to play. The CC edition seemed short in play, but was all new scenes and interesting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wait for SE This is a great game, story line, hint system, transporting map, the whole 9 yards. I would suggest waiting for the SE as the CE does not justify the additional cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Off the record Liberty stone I have never reviewed before but this is a great game! No macabre bits e.g. no skulls, cockroaches, maggots etc. Just a good story line with the right amount of puzzles. Heard there were negative reviews and I don't know why. I thoroughly enjoyed this game, please give us more like this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Favorite Off the record game! Such a thrill to play, as soon as I finished the game, I simply had to write my review immediately and say how happy made me this game! The beautiful Liberty Stone has been stolen, and I, again in a role of journalist Natalie Evans, have been the main suspect for stealing the stone, as all the evidence has been appeared that I'm guilty. Two very wealthy families claim that they are both owners of Liberty Stone, and there everything starts. I have to say that the artwork is just so beautiful! All scenes are colorful and graphic is pure perfection. Characters were interesting and also perfectly done. Mini games were fun and original, especially hidden objects. Beside solving mini games, I had to collect 43 seahorses hidden in every scene, 12 alphabet letters, 12 morphing objects that were in hidden object scenes, etc. All in all, this is my new favorite game! Great job, Eipix!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stayed up until 6am This was such a fun game to play that I had to finish stayed up all night. Because I am on EST and games are released on PST (you can do the math) :). I have to disagree wirh the reviewer from the U.K. it is not a dark gloomy game, it is not set in oldend times, it is modern and funny in places (Monkey drink). Give the game a chance just don't stay up all night:) Have fun and if HOG's are not your favorite, games don't play them...for me I love them and the hunt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Want my Liberty Give me Liberty or give me death. The HO's were so delightful and kept me wanting more. The puzzles started to become charming as well. The story line was solid and love the way the characters played off my character. Like the sketch book and suspect drawing. Gotta own this game and see who saved me when I was being chased. Or did they? The game had quite a few extras. Collecting Sea Horses, various balls, and letters from the alphabet. Nice jump map. Also characters matched their appearance. Very good game and could be a contender for game of the year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dare I Say The Best Off The Record To Date The Liberty Stone has been stolen and the evidence has been planted to appear that you (a.k.a Natalie Evans) are the guilty party! The Liberty Stone has been the center of controversy for quite some time now, as a journalist, you have been assigned to cover the beauty pageant whose winner get's the honor of being crowned with this beautiful gem! Two prominent and wealthy family's claim to be the true owner of the stone, Carlos Sterling, and Tyrell Walker. Your investigation uncovers incriminating evidence on just about everyone, how can you uncover the evidence when you are the prime suspect? This game is totally off the record awesome. There are plus signs on many of the inventory items and many of those items have a quick mini game that needs completed before you can use it such as turning dials to the correct image from clues that you come across during your investigation. Once again, you will find several audio cassettes throughout the game to play in your cassette recorder, there is an icon to the left of the inventory bar for quick access to the recorder. There is also an icon for the Achievements you have earned and an icon that shows how many of the 43 hidden Seahorses you have found, and an icon for the current Objectives as well. When you are talking to some of the characters, you get to choose responses in three different categories, Sharp, Straight or Bluff. If you choose the wrong response category however, the character tells you it's not believable and the response is far fetched so there's no wrong response really. There are also 12 Collectible alphabet letters. The Hidden Object Scenes are really entertaining, 12 of them contain a Morphing item. Some of the HOS are just regular list finds, my favorite was a progressive silhouette game where you find fruit to mix, and play a minigame where you cut the fruit when a meter is in the green zone, and then add that mixture to a shaker bottle and shake the shaker as fast as you can. The Mini Games are plentiful, simple games such as tracing a symbol with your mouse, and some more elaborate. My favorite game required you to spin a roulette wheel to receive your numbers, then you had to place exactly four chips on each number whose sum totaled the number shown. This Collector's Edition has a Souvenir Room, re-playable HOP and Puzzles, Videos and Bonus Videos, Music, Pictures, Collectible Seahorses and Alphabet Letters, Morphing Objects, Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Done!!! First I would like to say, I normally do not write reviews but felt compelled to when I saw a review stating this game as a "do not recommend." I think that is a bit unfair, and harsh IMO. I loved the demo, and felt the story was captivating enough for me to finish the demo, and want more. The map was flawless, HOP's were fun, the voice overs were awesome, it was not grainy to me, and I thought overall it was something new. Please play the demo, and judge for yourself. I am not a pro player like maybe a lot of gamers, but someone who enjoys a good game. I also, don't like criticizing something unfairly. This one is a definite buy for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Liberty Stone is a Real Gem! In an exciting new game in the Off the Record series you are off to the Caribbean to cover a beauty pageant where the winner gets the biggest prize of all – a chance to wear the famed Liberty Stone, a gorgeous, mammoth-sized ruby. Unfortunately for you, you arrive at the pageant to interview the owner of the stone when one of the contestants is assaulted and the stone stolen. In a twist of events, it looks like you are being framed for the crime. You need to work against time to solve the case and restore your good name. The Liberty Stone is the story of a feud between two families that goes much deeper than the disputed ownership of the precious gem. As always, this development team knows how to put together a great game with lots of visual appeal that is accompanied by excellent voiceovers that add to the overall package. I particularly enjoy the Caribbean sounds that set the ambience for the game and bring back memories of some special vacations I had in those wonderful islands. While playing the game you will find the standard tools available with the additions of a tape recorder that will be used to play cassettes that are found as the game progresses. One of the tools that I personally appreciate and use the most is the interactive transporter-type map that this development team includes in its games. They are always helpful at providing a nudge in the right direction just in case I may have forgotten where I might need to use an item that I am lugging around in my inventory. I always enjoy the HOPs from this developer as they are very interactive and multi-level and in this particular game the HOPs seem exceptionally well done and enjoyable. I always seem to find some surprise in each HOP that I come across which keeps things interesting. As is the case with many of you, I play a lot of HOPA games and look forward to the puzzles, and it seems like some of the puzzles in this game are a bit different than usual. Although the puzzles are not difficult, they are still quite fun and very entertaining. I happen to like math puzzles and have already found one of those in the game so I’ve been doing my happy dance. With the CE version of The Liberty Stone there are a bunch of extra goodies that make this a fun and CE worthy game. We have a variety of collectibles and many of them are very difficult to spot. Okay, I know it is cheating but I am finding the integrated strategy guide quite helpful with spotting some of those darned collectibles that I just can’t seem to spot as they are very cleverly disguised. I am having a lot of fun just looking for them, along with spotting those elusive morphing objects. Yes, some of the morphs are rather glaringly obvious but others have taken a while to find. As a final thought, IMHO, this is a great game. I am having so much fun playing with the scenery and the objects that might move or make various sounds when they are clicked. This developer adds so many little details to their games that make them a notch above. I love the feisty little monkeys that are playing in the various game scenes and lights that I can click that turn on and off again. All in all The Liberty Stone is a great game and one I am thoroughly enjoying. I know that many of you think the HOPA games are becoming very redundant but I am a hopeless fan of the genre and this developer is one of my favorites. I never seem to tire of playing their games. The Liberty Stone was an instant purchase for me but, as always, I recommend that you at least try the demo to see if this is a game you will like.
