Ominous Objects: Phantom Reflection is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wasn't sure at first I purchased this game without demo based on reviews and the need to purchase a game or lose my points so I wasn't really sure how it was going to work out. I was not disappointed. The game had HOS which were unique, challenging and fun with an option for match 3. Some of the HOS were shadow, but most were very interactive which basically required you to find the first clue to make the others fall into place. I was able to set the skip and hint to 1 second because I'm not a puzzle person so I skipped most of the puzzles to move the game along, but the ones I did seemed easy but others took more time. Transporter map was excellent as well as the hint would also serve as a transporter as well. Story line was a lot like all the rest anymore and I loved the cat "helper"..cute. Game was long with a lot to do so I kind of lost track of the story line so the ending was a bit confusing. I truly enjoyed this game...smooth flowing and you had to use your head a bit in some areas...not a hand-holding game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Breaking Mirrors Brings Bad Luck! Another beauty from Daily Magic Productions! A young survivor from the first Ominous Objects game (Family Portrait) is all grown up and has become an expert in solving mysteries involving ominous objects...last time it was portraits, this time it's mirrors! Like the first game, this one is also nice and long, so you get your money's worth. A lot of people are turned off by the blue, pink and purple graphics, but I'm a fan of them myself...I think they're beautiful and adored the graphics! The puzzles were relatively simple and fun. One difference I noticed from the first one is the ability to choose match-3 over the hidden objects scenes, if you wish. If you like Mr. Jenkins from the first game...he's back! The ending was left a bit open and I'm looking forward to see if they resolve it in future games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great fun I have played many games and never reviewed any of them so this is a first, I enjoyed this game so much I spread it over three days as I really didn't want it to end! this games producer has given a new look to gaming, the HOs are fun and the mini games neither testing or tedious, I played it on casual mode and took time to just enjoy it. one tiny gripe the ENDING?? please not so abrupt for the future producers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TIE BREAKER---A GOOD GAME AFTER ALL YAY! I get it. With so many less than accurate rave reviews on too many games, it's difficult to determine those good reviews that are spot on. Indeed a haunted mirror story has been said and done before, however developers brought a creative twist not only to the story but to the dialogue as well. Not a fan of garish colors, I had to look past all that and decided to enjoy! Our Ominious Objects expert is a very funny lady who keeps a cool head. I think you will agree. Objects and puzzles had thought and creativity. The challenge was no more and no less than what players have requested over the years and this is the result. Daily Magic Productions worked very hard plus in this 2nd of their Ominous Objects series. The standard edition has video clips you can review, a map, colored lens goggles, and our helpful cat, Mr. Jenkins. He is self sufficient and doesn't require feeding. ^_^ Once you see past everything preconceived, and wanted in a game and it's not there, I believe you will start enjoying the game as I did. Also, it helps to take a break from playing and gain a fresh outlook. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from as good as Family Portrait This is a thoroughly enjoyable game, on a par with Family Portrait from the same series. I like the graphics in Family Portrait more, but this installment is also excellent. Well developed story, beautiful graphics, extended gameplay, good HOs and puzzles. The ominous object in this installment is MIRRORS. Mr Jenkins the cat is your helper, and your goal is to free people trapped behind mirrors. If you liked Family Portrait, you will enjoy Phantom Reflections, the two best of this series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Absolutely Brilliant Game Well I started with some suspicion as I went through the game it got better and better. It was so calming, I know I had to use a few hints only for the to where do next. It is entertaining, Mesmerising, it will keep U on yr toes. Better stop now or I'll give this game a Big head LOL YES

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game is Ominous Alright! This game stood out because there are many very clever, innovative features. Whether we are talking the game itself or the mini-games it really stands up above the norm. I am glad I bought it and I am sure I will play it at least a few more times and will enjoy it as much as the first time! Thank you as always Big Fish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mirror, Mirror On the Wall . . . I won't re-hash the entire story as certain reviewers are known to do. I like reading a game's overview and then watching the story and game unfold by itself, discovering things at my own pace. With that said, this is an all-around entertaining game with lots to do. I'm so glad I waited for the SE version. The color palette was perfect and worked well with the feel of the game. While some don't like the purple and pink pastels, we should remember that children play these games, and I found the colors added to the dream-like atmosphere of the game. I played this on Custom mode because I like quick-charging hints and immediate skip ability. However, I ended up playing most of the puzzles anyway because they were new and interesting. Hidden object scenes were pleasurable -- there wasn't an over-abundance of them, and there weren't tons of objects to find in each scene. Objects were clear and well drawn and not too small or difficult to locate. The music, sound effects and voice acting were top notch. The hint button was directional, in case you weren't sure where to go. The inventory could be locked so it wasn't always popping up and down. And Mr. Jenkins, your adventurous pet cat helped out only when you couldn't fit into tight spaces or grab something that was high up and out of reach. You don't have to buy outfits for him or decorate his cat condo. Phantom Reflection kept me happily playing along for several hours and I would highly recommend it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ending Needs Work I liked the game overall, good map, good continuity. It could have used a little help in the Notes section, it was just pictures, it could have used a little more umph and could have helped move the story along. I was not a fan of all the flying shards, that trick just got annoying after a whle. And I truly am not a fan of all the abrupt endings that I have been finding lately. This one truly ended without solving a thing. I don't know if developers are lazy, losing their creativity or rushing to deadlines, but that is a trait that I really wish would die out. I will still recommend it for the puzzles, length and Mr. Jenkins ;)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For a non-CE this is well worth the price. I usually play the CE versions, but went with the regular on this one. I was very pleasantly surprised and both how much I enjoyed it and what a nice long game it turned out to be. One thing about non-CE games, is you are forced to think through things, because you can't just pop open the strategy guide and peek at the solution for puzzles, etc. I did end up skipping 2 puzzles. One, because it was an arcade type game and I totally suck at arcade games. The other one was a sliding puzzle and I'm pretty awful at those too. The rest of the puzzles ranged from very easy, to fairly challenging - - but they all are doable. Anyway, it was a fun way to spend time on the computer.
