Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely Christmas Game After being sick and tired of the gloomy and dark Ravenhearst games, I really enjoyed this game a lot. It is bright, colorful and not a big challenge for the grey cells. Would be also fun to play with children. I am looking forward each Christmas to the Christmas game. Relaxing and most enjoyable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh Holy Night The Stars Aren't Brightly Shining *****Puss-In-Boots Has Stolen Santa's Magic Star! It's Christmas Evening, not a creature was stirring, except for that cute cuddly kitten shivering on your doorstep! Aaahh, but magic is in the air, and you soon find out that Simon is no ordinary cat, he is one of Santa's helpers, he can talk, he can walk just like you and I, and he needs help saving Christmas! A thief has stolen the Magic Christmas star in Catstown, without the star, the magic of Christmas won't happen! Christmas Stories has delivered a purrfect game this year. Puss-In-Boots will tug at your heartstrings and engulf you in a fantastical storyline, like a good book, you won't be able to stop until the very end. My only complaint, is with the graphics, although they are decent, they are nowhere near the quality of the Nutcracker eye candy. Simon will join you on your investigation to nab the star thief, and proves himself invaluable when it comes to retrieving items only a cat could accomplish. There are Snowflakes above some inventory items, indicating some type of interaction is required before the item can be used, some of which involve solving a puzzle of some sort. There are 12 Morphing Objects that morph between a cat and a mouse, and there are 36 Hidden Puzzle pieces that will create 3 different Screensavers once completed. The Hidden Object Scenes cover just about every different type, Interactive List finds, Multiples of each item finds, Silhouetted Shape finds, finding items that match keywords in a story, and even scenes that require you to pick up items from the inventory bar and place them into the scene where they belong. The Mini Games are a delight, however, they are all really easy to complete, but keep in mind that Christmas Stories games are intended for family fun, a game that can be enjoyed by young and old. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you will encounter: 1) Find pairs of matching constellations in three sections. 2) Put torn photo fragments together. 3) Select ring sections and use directional arrows to complete an ornament. 4) Spot the Difference between a photo and the scene. 5) Throw snowballs when the indicator is in the green zone. 6) Use weights to move clock hands to the correct time. 7) Move a feather duster around to clear dust. 8) Color the image to match it's twin. 9) Guide a ball through a maze using directional arrows in an allotted amount of moves. 10) Press cash register buttons in the correct order by trial and error. 11) Use a Looking Glass to find tools hidden in each scene. This Collector's Edition has 24 Achievements, 12 Morphing Objects, 3 Screensavers, 36 hidden Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces, a Secret Room, 17 Concept Art pictures, 15 Wallpapers, 5 Music Soundtracks, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brings out the child in me This is the sweetest game. I love everything about it. It isn't the hardest game I've played by a longshot, but it's one I've really enjoyed playing. I look forward to these each Christmas and they never fail!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do Not Pass this Puss n Boot up After only playing about 4 minutes of of the free trial version I just couldn't pass this delightful game up. It;s realistic charm and sparkle of Christmas brought me to my decision. The graphics are like watching a animated movie. Nice Work here. I sure look forward to many more games looking more like this one. The Kittens on here will just make you smile and go AHH. You just can't help yourself to purchasing this one. The fun factor is diffidently there. Easy to follow. I did not so far skip any of the titles to the next thing to do here. I would highly recommend this one to any of those who enjoy hidden object games. Relaxing to play. Just sit back and enjoy this one, because BF did this one justice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright, beautiful, and fun for "kids" of all ages! Yes, there are critics deeming this too 'childish'. Well, I guess that makes me a 65 year old "kid" because I found a lot to like about this cheerful holiday game! Cats, cats, and more cats! Yeah I could do without some of the 'childish' voices but they are just kittens so they should have young voices! Santa has a grownup voice so it's all good. Plus as a cat lover, they are everywhere and that's fun for me! As is usual with this series of holiday games, graphics are beautiful. There are achievements, puzzle pieces to spot, and also "Collectibles". There's a Secret Room and of course the Bonus game. I love this holiday series because the games are bright, beautiful, and fun. If you are lucky enough to have young kids or grandkids to enjoy your gaming with you, this series is a safe bet! Maybe play at least enough of the demo just so you can see how it unfolds after the snowball-throwing kittens. The beautiful graphics, music, and story may just grab you like it did me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST GAME EVER!! Even though I have been playing Big Fish games for quite a while, this is my first review. I was inspired to do so because I was so blown away by this game. Better reviewers than I will go into the details. I loved this game from the first scene to the last. There was even a part in the storyline that made me cry! My biggest problem with it is that I was torn between savoring it in small bites or gobbling the whole thing down in one day! I knew that the past Christmas Story games would be hard acts to follow but this one is at the top in my opinion. That you SOOO much Elephant Games for this gem!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Fish and Elephant games deliver the Magic of Christmas... On Christmas Eve you come home to find a stray kitten curled up on your front porch in the snow, and of course you can't resist taking him in. But later that night, you're awoken by a strange voice, and discover it's none other than the kitten himself, who you've named Simon, standing on his hind legs and talking to you. Seems by taking him in, you've proven yourself kindness personified, and as one of Santa's Helpers, Simon now knows you're who they need to help save Christmas. See, Christmas can't happen without the magical star on the North Pole's tree, and someone's stolen it. Someone... wearing boots. Hmmmmm. But why would anyone want to stop Christmas? Gosh, you don't suppose there's secretly a heart-wrenching motive behind it, do you? It's an adorable, sweet, and fun holiday adventure that makes up for low challenge with stunning production values and a relentless sense of spirit. Christmas Stories: Puss in Boots like most current hidden-object adventure games, has fully customiseable difficulty, down to the seconds the hint and skip functions take to recharge, so it can be enjoyed by just about anyone. As you explore, you'll gather objects needed to solve puzzles, rifle through hidden-object scenes of all types to find items, and even get help from Simon when you need a cat's special touch. If something needs his assistance, it'll pop up with his silhouette when you pass over it, so just click Simon, then what you want him to look at, and he'll get to work. The difficulty on the whole is rather light... most of the puzzles are incorporated in clever ways, such as matching a photograph to the scene of a burglary to spot clues, but don't really require much beyond a decently keen eye to solve. There is a lot of backtracking, but the game is good at spacing all its content out, so you run into puzzles and hidden-object scenes at a decent pace in equal measure. While adults may wish the puzzles had more heft to them, it's likely the perfect choice for kids, or simply anyone looking for something casual to kick back with a mug of their favourite holiday beverage. Christmas Stories: Puss in Boots as much as I might poke at its cuddly cuteness, one of the best compliments I can actually give is it did actually put my heart in the spirit of the holiday season. The more I played, the more I found myself going from lightly rolling my eyes at its treacly-sweetness to actually smiling at each new character and elaborate fantasy scene. It's the sort of game it's hard to be in a bad mood while playing. Still, it's not without its more serious moments. As you'd expect, Puss has his reasons for not wanting Christmas to come, and, well, it's a TEAR-JERKER, so parents who have very young kids might want to play this themselves first to judge if this is a discussion they want to crack open yet. Despite its heavier moments, or maybe even because of them, Christmas Stories: Puss in Boots is still an easily recommended holiday adventure. Puss in Boots is more focused on the journey, and it really does have a rollicking Christmas special adventure feel to it as you chase the thief throughout the game from place to place, and cutscenes are beautifully animated. It's meant to be a very light adventure, with a very Disney-esque approach to the capering cat antics and sentient furniture, and it might just have the BEST voice acting in a hidden-object adventure I've heard yet. It is, in other words, the perfect sweet and magical Christmas game for the young and the young at heart... provided you're not some sort of filthy cat hater, LOL. Try the demo if you're on the fence... you might just be glad you did. Merry Christmas Big Fish, may the joy of Christmas fill your hearts and Thank you for continuing the Holiday tradition of Christmas Stories. xox's
