Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Graphics Could Be Better After the warlock Victor defeated his Uncle and became ruler, Victor grew bored. Naturally, Victor jumped at the chance to travel to the Fairyland kingdom of Lorraine to save Princess Olivia who has been imprisoned in her own tower! I love the "weather" feature that Weather Lord Time Management games offer allowing you to click and drag Clouds to water the crops, the Sun to dry up swamps and deter ghosts, and the Wind to swoosh away the cobwebs. There are two modes of difficulty available, Casual which is untimed and Expert which is timed, and you can earn Gold, Silver or Bronze status for each level, which can be replayed as often as you want to try for a faster score. Just like most TM games, you will clear paths of debris, fix damaged roads, bridges and buildings, collect gold, harvest crops, cut trees for lumber and build various buildings such as Sawmills, Houses, Mines, Grain Mills, Forges and even Jewelry Shops to produce resources. Some of the levels contain treasure chests that contain collectible Artifacts, Axes, Shovels, Rakes, and Staffs, and there are several Awards or Achievements to earn. Each level also gives you an icon Bonus such as an Extra Worker, Faster Workers or More Resources, which only last briefly, but can be used again once the meter refills. This Collector's Edition has 9 Music Soundtracks, 6 Wallpapers, Awards, Artifacts, a built in Strategy Guide and Bonus levels available. Compared to Tuesdays game, Incredible Dracula......well there is no comparison, it's a really good game just not as top notch as Dracula, enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from HELP VICTOR RESTORE THE KINGDOM OF LORRAINE A sad fairy named Elleth, has arrived in Flywind to seek the help of a Weather Lord, a very powerful warlock, who she knows can stop the damage being caused in her home kingdom of Lorraine. Victor, who has deposed his uncle and is now the leader of his kingdom, is only too happy to help since he is eager to meet the beautiful princess Olivia who is being held captive in her very own tower. So off I go on my quest to restore the damage that has been done to the Kingdom of Lorraine and hopefully to win the heart of the beautiful Princess Olivia. The game has only two modes of gameplay, either Expert or Casual. Being a “newbie” in the TM games I find them a bit challenging and sometimes frustrating so I appreciate the fact that there is a casual mode where I can play at my leisure. Maybe someday when I become better with this type of game I will want to play with a higher level of challenge but for now I am finding it very entertaining to complete the tasks without having to beat the clock. The graphics are very cute and even though they are cartoonish, they are colorful and very sharp which makes it easier to distinguish some of the smaller items on the screen. As is the case in all these TM games, the music is rather bouncy but I did have to turn the volume down as it was annoying even though there are several different sound tracks. There are no voiceovers but the sound effects are those we would expect in this type of game. Since I am fairly new to the TM genre, the most valuable item in the CE version of the game is the Strategy Guide or walkthrough that I know will be quite helpful when I am just not sure what to do next. We will discover and collect artifacts during the game but I am not sure if those are only a part of the CE version. The other extras include wallpapers, the music tracks, and cartoons that are basically a replay of the dialogues that occur in the game. One thing that I noticed is that the dialogues can be a bit long and I felt they disappeared before I could finish reading so maybe it is a good thing that they are included as an extra. Although I am not a huge fan of the TM games, I found Weather Lord Following the Princess to be what I consider to be one of the better games in the genre and an entertaining change of pace from the games I normally play. Even though I think the game is quite a bit of fun, as always, I recommend that you try the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great game for strategy lovers I really enjoyed this game. The storyline, the planning and strategy to get the highest score on a level (gold), e.g.: which buildings to erect, and in what order, what resources to gather first. The graphics could have been more crisp and better sketched. Can't say I liked the mashup of human/animal creature type characters. This did not detract from the gameplay. As you move through the levels (which can be quite challenging), more strategy and planning is involved if you are to gain the gold level. Quite the challenge and a great pastime. I would recommend this game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing I was really disappointed in this chapter of WL. It was not very challenging, there were not enough levels, only 1 worker could be assigned to any task i.e could only chop 1 tree, gather 1 food before returning to coach. There were no knights for defense only weather systems which may or may not have been being used elsewhere at the time. This chapter took me less than a day to complete whereas the others I was engaged in for DAYS.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from "Subtle Differences" I have loved the Weather Lord Games from the first time I tried them. This one is equaling challenging but its only because of how slow it has become the other games had you build up to getting 3 workers each of which could work cutting the trees together digging the mine and collecting food together but now it's one at a time and so tedious and drawn out. I miss the old versions I also loved looking for the weather cloud the wind and so forth that was part of the challenge.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I feel cheated! Nowhere near as good as the others in the series. Only 30 levels and all for the additional cost of a collectors edition. So basically you pay more for less. No ability to use more than one worker on obstacles. Sorry I didn't like this very much at all, it feels like the developers have been lazy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ruined - Based on Demo Version I love the Weather Lord series and have played them all to highest level. I hated this. This is Weather Lord dumbed down and the core market seems to be little girls. There are Fairies. There is a princess. You are given three weathers on a tool bar instead of in the game screen. I didn't like this, it slowed things down as you are forever having to go to the bottom left with your cursor. (I play on PC with mouse, maybe this works better with touch screen?) There are more obstacles but you cannot have more than one person working on a task at a time, this is deeply frustrating if you are used to "stacking your team". There is no warriors, you defeat "monsters" by using weather on them. No towers in the demo but seems to be one later on. I don't hold high hopes it would the exciting towers in previous versions. Lame, frustrating and dumb. I won't be purchasing. They have killed this series. Very disappointed.
