Cadenza: Havana Nights Collector's Edition is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Game, Series, and Developer! This is my kind of game! I really enjoy it....the beautiful, spot-on graphics, the HOS, puzzles, etc. show that a lot of thought and talent were put into its development. Other reviewers have given all the details much better than I ever could, so I'll just add my 5-star review to the mix. (I only give a 5- star reviews when I find the game exceptional.) I am playing it for the second time...I have been dusting off some older games that I hadn't played in awhile...and was excited to replay this one. As always...try the demo for yourself...as tastes differ!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fascinating and done with much love for music and detail What a great game this is. It is so exciting that you don't get a minute rest - you always want to know what is coming next and how this riddle anravels. And the music - of course! The room of the radio is done with so much love for detail, it almost feels as if it really was me, who picks out an LP and puts it on the grammophone. I admire also the Hidden Object Scenes. This developer doesn't need to "hide" the hint- or skipbutton in order to get you use your brain - they are just having a great setting which makes one WANT to solve the problem. It is a very well done game and i am glad i bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic!! Fun, relaxing, Beautiful game! I absolutely loved everything about this game! So fun and relaxing. Gorgeous graphics, with beautiful Cuban scenery and wonderful Spanish accents! The games and Hop's were fun and interactive. The music was perfect as well, I kept my speakers on the whole time where usually I turn the sound off. Mad Head games should be changed to Mad about you games! I can't think of one game they've done that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed, as a matter of fact many of my most favorite games are by them. I love the scenes in their games well rendered no lurid colors, not overly done with something in every single spot to were you are overwhelmed nor too sparse just the perfect amount. Not only is the game visually stunning but MadHead always tells a story so perfectly, it unfolds throughout the game play, hop's even the items you find to use to open things tie into the story! My only negative is the game was short, I know it felt shorter because I was enjoying it so much, but it really was kind of short. I purchased the SE addition and I truly wish I'd purchased this CE edition so I could have played even longer. One of the best games I've purchased here on Big Fish and I've bought many including the other Cadenza games. This is a game I will definitely play again. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game This game surprised me. I played it just cause there wasn't anything else to play that I liked. It hooked me from the very beginning! I really enjoyed this game. The graphics were great and the hidden objects were very well done and some different. The story line was good and easy to understand and I enjoyed the music played throughout. Amazing how they do these games!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blow your horn, man, but stay away from the guitar man! Though this incredible game was not as challenging, as far as the mini-games and puzzles (if any) were concerned, I loved the ambiance--the graphics were superb. What stood out to me more than the game-play, which very much matters to me were the esthetics, the sound effects, the colors, and on a full screen. The cut scenes are nicely done and the voiceovers are great! A very delightful game thus far! Your brother owns a nightclub in Havana and would like you to be a part of his musical entourage as a horn man, which you agree to do. In any event your bro gets shot and now you're in the throes of catching the culprit who committed this atrocity and, of course, you, too, are a victim! I'm two-thirds in to the main game and I'm enjoying myself immensely. I love the storyline, the zombies--well, the zombies are another thing, not as bad looking as those flesh-eating ones we often see in movies and some TV series! Ugh! I'm sure I'll soon find out why they exist, (if you really want to call it that!) The flow of this game is not outstanding but very good actually. The tasks have rhyme to its reason, and that matters to me. So in that respect, I'm a happy camper! What really stood out for me were the sounds of the birds chirping, while the sound of cars were passing each other on a faraway highway; at least that's what it sounded like to me. Unobtrusive sounds. And all this amidst a background of palm trees, flourishing plant life, beautiful, exotic flowers. I felt as though I as right there in that one particular scene. Love the sound effects very much! Another thing I love about what the DEVS did in this game was you must collect 40 diamond-shape figures that happen to be hidden very strategically and where you least expect them to be. Some were easy to find and some were not. But what the DEVS did that I found interesting was for each scene every diamond-shape image you don't locate, on the lower, right-hand corner of your screen is sketched a dimaond in a pale gray or off-white color, and once you find the diamond, it turns blue. So in essence you don't have to wait until you play the Bonus Game to find what you missed. Way to go, DEVS! Very smart! I love the variety of HOP scenes. There are morphing objects to find and there are collectibles as well. And I often forget about these things but I'm making it a point to remember them. Mad Head DEVS, great game! You did good! I love this series! I highly recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Different and innovative This game was more in the "solve the mystery" genre, and from that perspective and with the location in Cuba, it was run to play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BLEW ME OUT OF THE WATER WITH THIS ONE!!! I must get all of the Cadenza series. I have one already, and now I have this one. This game totally blew me out of the water. I was totally into the game, and it felt like I was in a movie. The music is to die for, the graphics are beautiful, the language, and accents were totally fitting. I thought I would be playing the game for a little while and later, I would come back to play the game. Well, when I started the game, I was so engrossed in the game that I could not stop playing to the very end. The game held my attention throughout. The puzzles were awesome...The end blew me away when I found out who was behind playing the guitar. The only minute downer was the bonus chapter; it brought the game down a peg; it was not as interesting as the main game, but it was pleasing and a pleasure to play. Finding the diamonds was great in each scene, and the morphing objects were great, I did not find all of them but I found most. I will take some time and play this game AGAIN!!! I truly loved the game and will recommend this game to family and friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maravilloso! Fantastico! This game is like an amazing urban fantasy, with enough realism AND a touch of paranormal to keep all types fascinated. You play a character who's going to Havana to meet his brother; along the way you find a strange guitar player whose song turns policemen into zombies. There are amazing interactive HOS as well as really fun puzzles including one along the lines of Guitar Hero. Not only that, there's Slide Mode and Self Aware Mode and Flip Mode - it's all good. Not only that, the art made me feel I really was in Havana in the 50's, and the music is incredible. Bravo to the designers, actors, and artists. This game is a masterpiece.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good game I own the other two games in this series and this is a really cleverly done game as were the others. These games make you think about the story and try to follow along with clues to get to where you need to be. The HO's are inter-active and you have to think about where things go and how to do them. The story line is clever and well thought out. The game is well drawn and very realistic. I turn the sound off after awhile as it gets to be an irritant, not just with this game but all games. That's just me. Please do the try me for yourself and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
