Amaranthine Voyage: Winter Neverending Collector's Edition is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seemed rushed towards the end and on bonus Great game but the bonus chapter seemed very rushed the map through most of the game had the objectives marked. But towards the end of the main game and all through the bonus the map did not mark objectives if you picked up something and could not remember where to use it the legend on the map showed nothing so you just had to go to every location until you figured it out. Also had a few issues with the HO's not always excepting the click on an object listed. The tutorial nor the guide mentioned that in some of the HOs there were additional "morphing" objects I found the first one by complete accident and then noticed the changing symbol of flower/snowflake next to the hint area in the HO scenes. Great series and overall great game. But you can definitely noticed that the end of the main game and the bonus were rushed to completion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Acclaimed Series just gets better and better!!! I love all the editions and now Eipix presents the next installment of the much beloved Amaranthine Voyage series! You've received a distress signal from the frozen world of Corra and what a world it is. Exploring an alien world should be a great adventure, regardless of how hostile or dangerous the world in question might be and Eipix really delivers with this edition. Scify fantasy worlds are even more exciting, given the fact that they can also contain all sorts of creatures and magic artifacts. It is also possible to obtain something nice by combining the two concepts together. The main objective in this phenomenal game is to explore a frozen world and save its inhabitants. You play the role of an explorer whose task is to rescue people from different worlds and solve problems. The gameplay is standard for the genre, which means that most of the time you’ll be scouring the environments for useful items, while the rest of the time you’ll be busy solving various puzzles, some more difficult than others and the hidden object puzzles require extra brain power because you are searching for foreign items in the FAR FUTURE which are less than familiar. The story starts with a crash and an unexpected turn of events, although you should probably be familiar with the premise if you are intimate with the series. As it turns out, you end up in a frozen world called Corra, and things are not looking very well. In essence, the people of Corra are dying, and they need someone’s help in order to overcome to hardships ahead. I thought the hidden object scenes were pretty cool, especially since there are multiple mechanics working together to provide you with a much more dynamic experience. In addition, the world exploration is pretty neat as well. The puzzles are not terribly difficult, but they can make you break a light sweat if you disable the hints and you do not use the skip button. Moreover, the graphics are very detailed as well, which works wonders for the game’s atmosphere. The same goes for the voice acting and the sound effects, because they all come together to provide you with quite the experience. The EXPERIENCE is different than any of the other editions in the series. In the end, Amaranthine Voyage: Winter Neverending is well written and very original, and the puzzles are pretty unique as well, but there’s something quite cozy about the game like you are really there. Hence, if you are up for a nice experience and you do not mind the wintery feeling it evokes, this adventure will keep you busy for a while. Excellent job and worthy of the 4/5 star rating!     

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amaranthine voyage Winter Neverending The best Hidden Object game I have played in a long time. It holds your interest but at the same time it challenges you to use your brain to figure it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amaranthine Voyage:Winter Never-ending JUST INCREDIBLE! I have played all of the Amaranthine Voyage games in the series, But this one is by far the longest and the most challenging. The graphics are fabulous. I am going to play this game again, because there is much that I need to redo to more fully enjoy each HOP and each of the other puzzles. The story is quite interesting. Each player will need to take the time to fully enjoy each stage of progression through the game. RJohn

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eve Glover, AU Inspector Eve goes through her portal to the frozen world of Corra, where people are disappearing in Thawing Ceremonies. Thy are never seen again, dun dun dun. If that weren't creepy enough, there's a Pylon running the show. He sends his ambassador, a kind of "Ignore the man behind the curtain" pixillated dude. You have to rebuild a snow scooter, negotiate the snow and ice, piece together artifacts, and triumph over the HOS in order to help Corra, Kreel, and the victims of the Unthawing. I loved this game because the world felt fantastic but real at the same time. The developers have come up with a snowy, icy realm that made me shiver as I played the mini-games and explored the landscape. As usual, the developers have gorgeous graphics and interactive scenes. There's a map, custom mode, and beautiful cutscenes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Great Game In This Series .... Great Graphics, Sound, Story, Effects, Animations, Voice & Video Bits ... A Great Addition To This Series Of Games With A Good Emphasis On Adventure ... The Faces Of The Characters Looked A Little Washed Out In Places, But Generally The Graphics Are Very Good And Very Detailed ... Nothing Really New In The HOG's And I Do Grow Tired Of The Long-Winded Puzzles And Tending To Skip Them To Keep The Game Flowing At A Pace More Like A Movie ... The Bonus Chapter Is A Great Follow On And Wished It Was Longer ... Well Worth A Special Deal For The Extra Little Bit Of Game Play ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVED THIS ONE ... VERY DIFFERENT STORYLINE! i really enjoyed this game ... the artwork, voiceovers, effects, music all excellent ... the HOs were many leveled and interactive, the mini games were somewhat challenging but not overly so ... i really felt that i was on another world, yet of course there were very human elements ... been looking for something unique ... bravo! ... i am playing the bonus game now ... and no technical difficulties ... woohoo!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good addition to the series You answer a distress call to another world, typical so far, but there are multiple characters to interact with, not just human. Can you save all the people of Corra? Some puzzles were easy, some not. I thought the artwork and music were appropriate. The bonus game seemed a bit short but it was good background. I like the bonus area where you can redo the HOP's, puzzles, etc., I was reminded why I don't play bubble poppers, as it seemed never to end. I only had a problem with one souvenir as it was off the screen completely. I found the rest of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a Bad Entry from the Amaranthine Voyage Series This one wasn't my favorite, but it was pretty decent. There's a good storyline and some fun game play. And a few of the features that have made these games really good are present here as well. First off, the Amaranthine Games feature a jump map, so traveling from one location to another and back again is easy as pie. Second, for anyone interested in completing all the achievements, this game allows you to go back and find collection items you may have missed or forgot to locate. There are also souvenirs to seek out after completing the game, plus a bonus chapter if you opt for the collector's edition. And you may choose the level of difficulty best suited for you. The story is interesting enough to follow and well voiced enough to not become annoying. You can skip over the dialogue if that's not your thing. The HO scenes are really pretty decent, though nothing is ridiculously hard to find. The mini-games are really very basic and may look very familiar to anyone who plays this type of game. Undoubtedly, you will have seen some variation of most of these games before. Some players may find the mini-games far too easy, but they were still enjoyable. Overall, I found this worth playing. Some may find it too easy, but if you want a break from the horror/scary HO games or are playing the Amaranthine series all the way through, then give this one a shot. You just might like it.
