Drawn into this ancient struggle between the forces of light and darkness, the detectives must defeat the Preacher at any cost. But will they be able to catch him before it is too late? Enigmatis 3: The Shadow of Karkhala Collector's Edition is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW !!! I bought this game about 2 years ago and decided to finally play it & was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I loved everything about it. the characters, graphics, music, mini-games and HOGS, beautiful Tibetan style artwork. Please read the well written reviews posted by my fellow Fishies....it is usually their reviews that sell me on trying and usually buying a new (and sometimes old) games. I am giving this beauty a full 5***** out of 5***** on my personal enjoy-ability scale :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The stunning conclusion! As I mentioned in my review of the previous game, I recently binged on all three collector's editions of this series. This third game is not quite as dark as the second one was, but still chilling and full of edge-of-your-seat excitement. I was really happy to see that the detective and "Rick" have become such good friends. Once again the story was tight and well-paced, the graphics are beautiful, the characters are likable and have great voice acting, and the puzzles are just the right amount of challenging. The reveal about Asmodai's hiding place was a real surprise and the ending was thoroughly satisfying. Full props to Artifex Mundi for this wonderful, wonderful trilogy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Final Chapter is The Best This third and final installment of the trilogy is certainly the best. The chapter ties together the previous segments and returns the key characters. The minigames and unique and enjoyable. The HOs are clear and well done. The interactive map speeds up the game by eliminating time wasting repetitive movements. Let's have more of this style!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Excellent Conclusion to the Enigmatis Trilogy! Artifex Mundi has never failed to create amazing HOPA Games, and this one is no exception! "Enigmatis 3: The Shadow of Karkhala Collector's Edition" is a wonderful conclusion to the Enigmatis Trilogy. The game picks up where the last one left off, you are now in a plane with Rick and all of a sudden it starts going haywire! You fly out of your seat and you are about to fly out the window, you have to make your way inside and fix the plane quickly so you don't crash-land. This is the first 5 minutes! This game has loads of "action" scenes in it and lots of jaw-dropping moments! You will be on the edge of your seat during portions of this game. The scenes in this game once again are beautiful however I feel they are a bit lower quality than the last game. The soundtrack is pretty good, and the storyline was amazing! However in my opinion I felt the ending was a bit weak, however that could just be because my expectations were so high. There's not a whole lot I could say negatively about this game. For the Collector's Edition Extra Features: The Strategy Guide is always useful, it helped me figure out a couple of the Puzzles however you could always use the Hint Button if you are stumped and not sure what to do. The Bonus Adventure, while it ties in with the story and fills in the gap of how a "certain side-character dies" (Don't want to spoil it), I felt it was pretty short, even for a Bonus Adventure, and that is the main reason I pay the additional $10 for the Collector's Edition. The Wallpapers, Concept Art, and Soundtrack are included and you can save them in your Documents Folder to access later, and you can also replay Hidden Object Scenes and Mini-games without having to replay the game. I say this game is totally worth it, especially if you liked the other two Artifex Mundi games. If you haven't played them, or don't remember the story too well, you'll be fine playing this, you just might be a bit confused story-wise at some areas.

I literaly had tears in my eyes at the finish!! THATS how impressed i was with it all! im not going into details of the story or gameplay!! every tiptop reviewer has already done that for you! all i want to say is if, by now, you are still in doubt as to weather you should get this (trilogy)game or not.....DONT!! go buy it and enjoy it as much as i did ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TEN STARS! ARTIFEX MUNDI RAISES THE BAR! YAY! This is going to be a very difficult game to beat by other Developers. The bar is high and game deserves 10 stars! Although gamers are drawn into a past history with evil ever searching to end the destruction, game can be played without having to have played the 1st two installments. Highly recommend playing for the sheer fun and enjoyment of gaming at it's best. What makes this game ever excellent is the story and stories dove tailing with every action. Nothing just pops up out of nowhere. Whoever scripted this story is a genius deeply respectful of ancient cultures. I commiserate with another fellow gamer who tried to find all the Collectibles. Even after playing the game twice, maybe the third will be a charm. Anyone who criticizes the game is due their opinion however disproportionate imho. This gamer would be very encouraged that Enigmatis 3 brings home a year end gaming excellence award! Much thanks and appreciation to Artifex Mundi Developers for one of the very best games played in all my gaming years on BFG. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All 3 a Must have!!! What more can I say that other better reviewers have posted...only been back to bigfish after an absent of years to find the quality of games have only increased!!! (now retired!)...I download 6 to 10 games a week and only recently came across this series...decided on a whim to download all 3 episodes and play them in order...and WOW!!! having touched on most series on this site I have to say that this is one if not the best series I have come across, I was blown away from the quality of game, story, visual...and continuity of story line...absolutely brilliant, I get a bored with HOGS and the same old same old...but this series doesn't dwell on them, which is fantastic change!....I play these games on a laptop and I have not been let down with any quality of game, some I have downloaded and found I am unable to play whether it is because of my lappie or the game itself who knows, I don't bother trying to get a refund because usually those games are begotten though FREE punches anyway....but do recommend this series, and hope to see and find more from the makers!!!...I do recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Ending to the Series The developer has created an outstanding ending to the series. The graphics were good but not great; however, the story was good enough to counter that. I would like to say more but don't want to spoil anything by accident.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Epic Game This has to be one of my favourite games. The developers have really stepped up with a game that has it all. Excellent voice overs, brilliantly inter-active HOS, and story line that has you hooked from the start. Some puzzles were harder than others, which made it all the more interesting, and frustrating at times, but overall this one heck of a game, Well done Artifex Mundi....more please!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now THIS is how to construct a series! I have been uncomfortable lately with many developers of series games departing from their roots, a few returning, but most not. Here is a game that never had to return to its roots because it never left them. ONE premise (a VERY complex one) which you do not learn until almost the end of the second game - but once you learn it you realize it has been there all along. THREE recurring characters - and what characters! All show some development throughout the trilogy, yet all hang on to their basic stances and principles. I am so impressed by the consistency I hope I am not making it sound boring. There are plenty of surprises though the entire trilogy. Yet everything is consistent (including, as one other reviewer said, that the Latin is real Latin.) This game - and I bought the standard edition, though I am reviewing it here under the Collector's edition because there are no reviews there and I am glad I did - but this third game of the three is so solid that it sent me back to play the first two again (well, it has been three years) to wrap my head around the whole story. The graphics have improved - they improved from the first game to the second, and even more in the third. The plot/story line - I'm not sure quite how to say this, but it keeps growing. Since each growth step transcends and includes all the plot that has gone before, I suppose you could say it improves, but that feels like a disservice to the earlier levels. I am deliberately being vague on the details of the play because I don't want to spoil anything - and also because the sheer size of the concept is what stays in my mind rather than the details. There was one scene when I first opened the game which played before the menu that I have not been able to get back again, and I would like to, because I didn't know what I was seeing and therefore didn't pay enough attention. But that may be the worst thing I can say about it Of course not everyone will like it. I doubt if there is any such thing as a game that everyone likes. But, dear developer, you can take over my world any time if you are going to do it like this. If I could make the three-game series my favorite game below, I certainly would.
