Witches' Legacy: Dark Days to Come Collector's Edition is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun, whimsical and enchanting! I absolutely loved, loved, loved this game! Let me first start off with, if you are expecting a somewhat scary game like the first few in the Witches Legacy series this is not that, if you are looking for a challenging game to really test your gray matter this is also not that. What this is, is a really fun, highly interactive, whimsical , charming and relatively easy game to play when you want to lift your spirits or just to just sit back and relax and enjoy a really fun easy colorful game! Almost everything is interactive and does something when touched even if you don't have to use the item in question. All the hidden object scenes are highly interactive as well. You have a ferret who you dress up to do certain tasks for you. She isn't used often, but I had great fun watching and listening to her while she performed her tasks, a few times she had me rolling with laughter and/or delight! The colors are bright and cheery, the only drawback for me is in some scenes they seemed to try to add light by adding a yellowish tinge which I didn't really care for but overall the graphics were great! The music changed throughout and it was quite enjoyable and fitting to each scene. I haven't had this much pure unadulterated fun playing a game ever before!! Set all your adult cares and worries aside for a few hours while you enjoy this fun, childlike, whimsical game! You'll be glad you did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So that's what the champagne bottle was meant for! Pretty clever! I'm more than halfway through the main game of this CE version, and I must say that I'm having the time of my life. Elefun devs have a great sense of humor and your adventure takes place in a magical land full of strange and interesting but comical characters. I actually laughed out loud a few times at some of the comments made from a few of them. Uh, oh! The Ice Twin Sorcerers have awaken and they are determined to seek the powerful artifact and revive the Dark Witches. You and the Good Witches must join forces to prevent this from happening. You will also need to conduct a ritual as these twins will need the Mirror of True Intentions. For, you see, they want to make sure that neither one will betray the other. You have a talking ferret friend who is your helper. Now mind you, she may not be as helpful as Mr. Jenkins, but she will prove to be useful. When she had to dive into the water to retrieve the heart splinters, well, my heart went a' flutter over that escapade. You will need to find a helmet and fins for her deep sea diving task. The heart splinters are enclosed in shells so you will need to click on the closed shells and find 5 heart splinters. And you must make sure that your ferret friend has to time to catch her breath before diving again or you will have to start over, but I got all five without any problems. In essence, she more than made up for some of her laziness. What a riot! Considering the content, the artwork is very good, not the greatest, although some of the characters are really weird but again, comical. The voiceovers are great and the music is marvelous, not annoying at all. The colors are crisp in some scenes and not so crisp in others, but when you consider you're in sort of a dream world, magical land, what can you expect! The devs do have a warped sense of humor but they put a lot of thought into this game. The variety of tasks were fantastic; puzzles and mini-game were great; achievements abound; you'll need to locate puzzle pieces and morphing objects. I'm actually remembering those for a change. The HOS were great and such fun. A plethora of things to do. I'm loving it! You have a jump-to map, good hint button, and the strategy guide if you need it. Well-organized game. I wasn't sure I was going to like it but once you get through some of the quirks, like in many games, it becomes easy street and such fun. I love the game-plan and the flow of this game. And, yes, I certainly do recommend this game! Try the demo if you like. Great job, you wild and crazy devs!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE, LOVE , LOVE IT! I have all of the 'Witches' Legacy' games and have enjoyed every one of them. This particular game grabbed me from the start. And here is why: 1. Absolutely beautiful graphics, with a distinct and impressive use of vibrant colors. 2. Practically 'everything' you click on, has some type of interaction, which I love. I think it makes the game more fun because it gives you the feel of actually 'being in the game.' 3. Fun (with a variety of levels of a challenge) mini-games and puzzles. 4. The option of playing a HOS or a match-game, I think most gamers here on Big Fish seem to like this option, and there are not a lot of games that offer this option. 5. Music is appropriate and changes according to what is happening in any given scene. If you've like the other Witches' Legacy games, then don't hesitate to try this one. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Twin Witches Causing Havoc!!! Witches' Legacy did it again! I just completed the Demo and I can say that I will be purchasing this game (CE). The story lines follows through and picks up from the last installment. The graphics are great, the background music is suitable. There are puzzle pieces and morphing objects to be found in each scene. I love how detailed and intricate the hidden objects are and as an alternative the player can play the matching objects instead. The hints, and skip loads quickly. The game will keep your interest as you go through different elaborate scenes. I thoroughly enjoyed this trial/demo and am sure those of you who like fantasy with witches and wizards will also enjoy this game. I am a huge fan of witches, warlocks and the like. Thanks Big Fish!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ~~~Defeat the Evil Witch Sisters in Dark Days to Come~~~ Another Excellent Edition to Witches' Legacy!! Dark Days to Come is a colorful hidden object adventure game in which you have to fight against evil witches and even use their magic against them in order to rescue your girlfriend. The game has upgraded on innovation, but the gameplay mechanics are exactly the same as they are in every other game in the genre, except the story and the puzzles are different. Speaking of which, the plot is very simple and straightforward as well, since you begin by having to rescue your girlfriend from the twin witch sisters. In order to do so, you have to travel a different realm and face the perils you find there, while also learning how to counter various magic spells. It’s a cute plot, it’s original and exciting and for me this installment will be memorable! Solve puzzles by rearranging pieces or finding the right pattern is a reoccurring theme. As mentioned above, the gameplay should be very intuitive if you are a regular fan of the genre. In essence, it all revolves around being able to find the useful items in every scene and then using them to unlock other areas and so on. Every now and again an actual puzzle blocks your progress, but it can be either skipped or replaced with a match-3 mini-game if you find it too difficult. Thankfully, at least your eyes won’t get bored along the way, thanks to the gorgeous artwork and the dreamy backgrounds that truly make you feel like you’ve stepped into a different world. It may not be for everyone, but at least it’s clear that the designers have put a lot of effort into it. Speaking of which, the voice acting is quite nice, and so is the soundtrack that accompanies the adventure. It really is an engaging adventure for HOPA enthusiasts. All in all, Witches' Legacy: Dark Days to Come is certainly going to keep you glued to the screen if you enjoy the genre, even if there are better examples out there. Hence, it’s polished enough to be engaging from start to finish, which is all that you can ask from a HOPA game. Thank you BigFish for continuing this popular and unique series!!! ? ? ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent game!!! Creative & Fun! Don't listen to the negative reviews, I played the entire game plus bonus game which are both long game play by the way. Excellent game, smooth game play with a great contextual pointer. Very creative with endless fun mini games and puzzles. Hops were interactive and not too many thankfully. Beautiful and many places to travel, I especially loved being eaten by a giant plant and worked in rooms within it to get released. Very artsy game and original puzzles that the designer really put some thought into, thanks! This game was not run of the mill, this was thoughtfully designed and very unique. I love collecting puzzle pieces, the only gripe I have is if you miss one there is no way to go back and get it without playing the game over again. This is a long game you will really enjoy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Am Really Enjoying This Game. This game is different to most of the other Witches' Legacy games. The graphics are good with some dark scenes but others are very colourful. The voices are reasonable and there's a fair bit of dialogue, although you can skip them by just clicking. I can't comment on the music as I didn't really notice it, for me that means it wasn't intrusive. We have a little helper and I must admit that I laughed a few time at her actions. I always click on virtually everything in a scene mainly to see it there's any interaction, I particularly liked the chameleon as I could change it's colour and there are others which made me laugh too. There is a lot of toing and froing to collect what you need to continue but the map is very good and transports you quickly. It also shows if you have collected both the puzzle pieces and the morphing objects The HOS were good and varied, they are visited twice but not one after the other. The mini games/puzzles were fairly easy and not mind boggling. I am about halfway through the game so maybe they might become a bit more difficult. There are 12 achievements, 36 puzzle pieces and 34 morphing objects. I am off to feed my fur babies and then back to the game, and hopefully I will finish it before I fall asleep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dark Days Bring Fun-Shine GREETINGS FELLOW FISHIES I am taking a quick dip into the pond today to share my thoughts and feelings about Elefun’s newest offering in the Witches’ Legacy Series, “Dark Days To Come”. Given my usually calm, reserved and erudite personality, please see me jumping up and down and doing cartwheels of happiness over this game. First of all, I love, love, love that all the scenes have multiple interactions wherever you click them. It makes me smile from the tips of my toes to the ends of my hair when I can pop balloons, have ghosts pop out of rocks, and bugs crawl out of flowers, just because I touch them. Although I tend to normally feel a farsighted aversion to HOPs, this darn game had me hopping for joy with how much fun their original, multilevel and interactional HOP scenes were. Add to that, the option of playing a memory match game instead, and I am thrilled to my core. The adventure aspect of this game gives us lots of interesting items to collect and entertaining ways to use them. There are puzzle pieces to collect, morphing objects to discover, and mini games to play, all with the help of our Friendly Little Ferret, "Bertha". When Bertha is not actively needed in game play, you can still click on her for an amusing response. Overall, this game, while tending towards the somewhat non-challenging side of things, nonetheless offers great entertainment value, a good sense of humor and game play that I think will appeal to a wide range of personalities and skill levels. HAPPY GAMING! ~B
