Whispered Secrets: Song of Sorrow Collector's Edition is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Siren Zombiefied the town's people 6 Chapters + Bonus+ Hidden Chapter. You have to collect all of the gems to play the hidden chapter. To play you go to the page with a woman adore in gem once you found all of them and it will take you to the hidden chapter which you fight with the siren and have I think 3 more puzzles. The achievements are sea creatures and related items which are there but faint. Once you achieve them they aren't faint any more. The picture is under water. Nice looking. My favorite hops were, opening the seahorse gate and the greenhouse. In bonus hops sea creatures. 16 movies, 8 music tracks. Replay 14 hops and 13 mini-games. No morphs. Didn't understand bookcase puzzle even with the guide and hint. Great fun game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This one is a keeper! Although, at first, this one doesn't seem like a special game -wait for it-, it will win you over. Not only has it 3 stages (one main game plus 2 bonus games), but also it has some of the most intriguingly logical puzzles I've seen in a long time! That should count for something, no? It's music could use a bit of a touch-up, but the musical effects are good. On your journey, you'll meet some people -some bewitched, some sane- and also you get to be annoyed by your French companion. And when you think you're stuck and there's nothing left to do, remember to check in the inventory the magic pages which, when correctly matched to the scenery, give away the next clue and available move. Look out for the shaped gems in every scene. And even if you don't find them, they'll glimmer. Stay alert!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ONE OF MY FAVORITES!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh My GOSH! I played the Demo and couldn't get enough! I never play the entire demo, yet this one was SO GREAT!!!! So much fun! I have every single hidden object game like these made in the last 6 years, at least, and this one is so incredible and addictive!!! The Collectors edition has extra two bonus games/chapters and you can re-play Hidden Objects and Mini games... I am so happy with this one; enough to write about it, which I never do except a few before like "Phantasmat" at! LOVE,LOVE, LOVE!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WELCOME TO ZOMBIE ISLAND! PLAN FOR AN EXTENDED STAY. OVERVIEW: Do you dream about taking a cruise to a lovely tropical island – swimming with the dolphins, finding romance with a handsome stranger, and basking in the sun with mermaids? Well you have boarded the wrong game! Awaken to a nightmare-come-true in which you find yourself as a survivor of a shipwreck in this 5-star game. You have washed up on a shore of an island with a village of zombies controlled by a hideous siren (an appearance-challenged mermaid-gone-wild). You will need to stop a siren from getting a magic amulet and get those townsfolk back to normal. You will get some help from fellow shipmate Noel and a villager, Leandra. Hurry, hurry, hurry! The siren is closing in. The demo is very short so it is difficult to assess the quality of this game. From the demo is appears the pace is excellent with plenty of activities to keep you engaged. You will spend most of your time dealing with both the siren and her village of zombies. There are an equal number of puzzles and HOP scenes in the game, including a Rube-Goldberg (super) puzzle. Both are creatively designed. The graphics are beautifully rendered. Don’t expect too much from that Frenchie, Noel - he is useless. However, when he speaks, he sounds “magnifique.” There are two bonus chapters in this game and you can keep track of your time. There is only one collectible – gems and there are no morphing objects. There is the option to replay both the HOP scenes and the puzzles. HOP SCENES: There is one very impressive HOP scene in this game. In one of the scenes you escape some village zombies on a horse cart. As you try to escape, you will go back-and-forth between two scenes to locate items to defeat and knock out the villagers following you. Quite creative! The other HOP scenes are lists of items. You have the option to play a Match-3 game in lieu of some of the scenes. PUZZLES: Shoot an octopus! That is your first puzzle in this game. You will center a ball to take him out. There is a Rube-Goldberg puzzle (super puzzle) with three puzzles, most of which are restoring pictures When you use the amulet to fight off the siren or zombies, you will need to play a puzzle. The amulet puzzles are varied and easy as well. I would have liked to see more variety in the puzzles both in style and difficulty. I feel the puzzles are the weakest part of the game. LEVELS: Casual, Advanced, Hardcore, Custom Hints: 10 to 90 seconds Skips: 10 to 180 seconds EXTRAS: Map is provided as you play the game. Helper Amulet to help defeat the siren 16 Achievements (from what I could count) Collect 36 gems Replay HOP scenes and Puzzles 10 Wallpapers, Music, Movies, Workshop (Concept Art) HERE ARE THE DETAILS (SPOILERS) FOR THOSE WANT MORE INFORMATION ON THE HOP SCENES AND PUZZLES IN SEQUENCE HOP SCENES: You have the option to play a Match-3 game instead of the HOP scene A. Mini-HOP scene. List of items. B. List of items to locate C. Locate 13 fish. D. Very cool interactive scene. While driving a horse carriage to escape zombie-like villagers, search for items and then either replace them back into the scene or interact with them somehow. You will go back and forth between two scenes. PUZZLES: Puzzle Rating: (1) Extremely easy 2) Easy (3) A little difficult or time consuming (4) Moderately difficult (5) Difficult AMULET PUZZLE: Every time you wish to use the amulet you must play a puzzle. There are four in the demo. (1) Maze puzzle. Draw a continuous line between musical notes to an animal token all while avoiding Celtic trinity knots. 3X (2) Bubble puzzle. Begin with the smallest bubble, then collect other bubbles to add to the first bubble until you end up with one huge bubble. A. Manual dexterity puzzle. Ready, aim, fire! As a ball hits the center of your range, shoot an octopus. Rating: 1 B. Rube Goldberg puzzle 1. Sliding tiles puzzle. Move four tokens to their proper locations on a gate. Rating: 1 2. Moving rings puzzle. Rotate 3 rings to create a picture. Rating 1 3. Moving rings puzzle. Rotate 4 rings to create a picture. Moving one affects the others. Rating 2 (a little more difficult than the previous one). C. Sliding tiles puzzle. Move pieces into position to create a picture. Rating: 2

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Underwater Adventures!!! I love this whole entire game except wasn't able to find all the gems to get me to stage 3 of the bonus chapter. Better luck for me next time, will try again. :) Its worth buying b/c the game time length's pretty long and lots of places to drag you within the map.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from MUST BE SOMETHING IN THE WATER A beautiful field of wildflowers, three fair young maidens, a gentle breeze, and gorgeous blue skies. You can even smell the salty ocean in the air of this quaint island town. It was an ordinary day, but so peaceful, so perfect that Leandra began to sing a heartfelt song, completely forgetting about the island's curse. The Zombie curse that is, what kind of curse were you expecting? Whispered Secrets is one of those sleeper series that everyone forgets about yet, they all have interesting storylines and features that gamers adore. I've always enjoyed these games which include the Everburning Candle, Golden Silence, Into the Beyond, Into the Wind and the Story of Tideville. Song of Sorrow however, just didn't "wow" me, I liked the game but I didn't love it. To me, the storyline is a bit cheesy and lame, the zombies look ridiculous, the graphics have an abundance of green and purple hues that make it less credible, the collectible gems glint with no option to stop the glimmering in the custom mode, and the Amulet used to "charm" animals/turn me into a mermaid is overused and cliche. There isn't much substance as far as Collector's Edition's go either, which basically only has the sparkling gems to collect and a handful of Achievements available. Some of the Hidden Object Scenes are repeated in the same scene which is a feature I really hate, because HOP's can be boring the first time around, much less a second time. As with all Whispered Secret games, you will find occasional picture clues, that are used to match up to the original scene which somehow exposes a hidden cache or hiding place that somehow couldn't be seen. (a treehouse that wasn't there before, really?) The Hidden Object Scenes are very basic, slightly interactive List finds that are so sparse on objects that they are super easy, and for me, super boring, especially when the scene is repeated moments later. There are also Silhouetted Shape finds and Multiple finds, and one that could qualify for a mini game which I'll describe in the following paragraph. Some scenes require you to use directional arrows to pan left or right as well. The Mini Games are not bad, but most of them are extremely easy to solve. Below are brief descriptions of some of the puzzles you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Press the take aim button when the marble is in the cross hairs, to shoot the arrow. 2) Find the missing seahorses by interacting with the scene. 3) Move the weapons tokens to the correct slots to complete the image, in a three part puzzle using arrows to pan left or right to the next puzzle. 4) Rotate circle sections to complete the image. 5) Rotate the circle sections to complete the image, clicking on one section may affect other sections. 6) Each time you use the Amulet you play a mini game requiring you to drag the light through every note only once. 7) Restore the picture by sliding square picture tiles using to the one empty square to solve. 8) Interact with items in the horse drawn cart to escape the zombies by finding each silhouetted shape item shown and using that item interactively. 9) Another Amulet mini game where you guide the blue bubble to absorb all the other bubbles from smallest to largest. This Collector's Edition has 15 Achievements to earn, replayable Hidden Object Scenes and Mini Games, 8 Music Soundtracks, 36 Collectible glittering Gems, replayable Movie Videos, 10 Wallpapers, 11 Workshop Concept Art pictures, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!
