Dead Reckoning: Death Between the Lines is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I WAS DEAD WRONG!! I am usually pretty good at "who done it", but I had this one completely wrong! Very interesting game, story is great! I very much enjoyed this one! Game is laid out very well. Loved the use of the tablet; everything that is needed can be found on it. Great info and map. The puzzles and HOs are very good! Everything needed for a great game is here! Enjoy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of the Dead Reckoning series This game is by far the best of the DR series, which largely lacks common sense when it comes to actions needed to progress. I was able to play this game on hardest mode with only a few hints needed. The story premise is an Agatha Christie type setting with 5 authors invited to Rupert Welles estate, and then you're off to hunt for whodunnit and why. The Welles mansion is mid-century style and reminiscent of Hitchcock's North by Northwest. I thought it was very well decorated and loved wandering the rooms. The ending is not as spectacularly good as the buildup, but having so enjoyed the game and the house interiors, I rate this game excellent and fun. There are quotes from literary greats interspersed among the cinematics and excellently written murder notes sprinkled through the game as a tribute to literary giants and people who enjoy fine literature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best game I've played in a long time. Others have written very detailed excellent descriptions of this game, so l just want to say it was a great captivating story & I loved the incorporation of the other series --all of which I play/collect with the exception of the "Off the Record" series, which I will now try. The graphics are beautiful and I WANT THAT HOUSE with the infinity pool!!! Gorgeous..and it seemed to go on forever, so many rooms! Puzzles were great as well. I mostly play games set in older/ancient times, but DR is modern-era series that I just love.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from write the book of a lifetime you have been invited to a competition to write the story of harriden welles, billionaire. when you get top his house you find the authors of "Off the Record", "Phantasmat", "Hidden Expedition" and "Danse Macabre" series' there and of course you have written the "dead Reckoning" series. the authors die one at time and you need to figure this out before you are next. you don't know why this is happening but you have found an imposter in the group and now she seems to be missing. thew ending is a twist you may not see coming. i kind of figured it out becaused i have played so many of these types of games. sequel i feel sure.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful & Exciting Whodunit Game Fantastic murder mystery. Loads of great puzzles and HO scenes to make anyone happy. Right amount of dreary stormy weather, thunder, wind and lightening. So many scenes to explore and each scene had lots to do. I was happy throughout the game. I did not expect the killer to be who it was. I just felt bad that all those great writers where killed. They did write some great stories, don't you agree. Thanks Eipix for another thrilling adventure in your "Dead Reckoning" series

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Immersive Story This is one of those rare games that has a great storyline that keeps your interest. I wanted to continue playing just to follow the storyline. I also enjoyed the graphics, mini-games, and H.O.S. The characters fit perfectly into the story and their voices fit the characters. I thought it was challenging, without being too hard. I enjoy murder mysteries, they are my favorite genre of books to read but if you do not like them you may not enjoy this game. What I really LOVED about this game though, was that the developers accomplished all this without ANY paranormal infiltration. I'm sure there are other creative ways to make games without resorting to ghosts, witchcraft, etc. as this game shows that it can be done and still get 5 star reviews from the leading key contributor reviewers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, solid game Lots to explore, different guest rooms, suspects, victims and a plot that thickens dangerously so. Beware of the killer... he is in the house. Or should I say, in the mansion?! Quite-quite enjoyable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Who Dun It without Ghosts! This is posted after playing the entire game. I really enjoyed playing this game. Not only was it well produced, but it was done without any supernatural effects whatsoever! Way to go Eipix! It can be done. Graphics were very well done and the sound, including the voice overs were excellent. I see they have gone back to the window for voice overs which I really don't understand, but other than that, it was perfect. Music went along with the action in the scene as did the Fx. Only difficulty I had was with the mini games (nothing unusual there) but I also had some difficulty with the hidden object scenes. They were very well done. Items were hidden deeply in the scene and some were just impossible for me to see. The hidden objects were varied which kept my attention. The map is a necessity for me. There is a lot of back and forth and here to there. It was almost impossible to remember where things went once I found them, but the map saved the day. I loved the story and although I figured out the ending well in advance, it had me from the beginning all the way through. It was neat how they blended writers from my other favorite games into this one. That was really an unusual addition. I've got all the DR series and I do believe this one is my favorite. Try the demo and I think you will be as hooked on this as I. If you are as tired of supernatural themes as I am, you will find this a breath of fresh air.
