Customer Reviews
Griddlers: 12 labors of Hercules is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really enjoying 12 Labors of Hercules! When the music is good, I can really get into a game and I love griddlers, so I had to have this game! Canon in D and the happy music you hear in Fishdom were a big factor for me. My only complaint is that some of the colors are so similar, it can cause a mistake. However, that isn't serious enough to keep me from going to my happy place when I play the game. :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok So, what's up with all these griddler games?? All seems tobe made in the same form more or less. However this one might be one of their better ones, yet could do some more work on it. It's like any other mosaic game, with multiple colors. Only difference (and that I did miss) was that the numbers dont show when you are drawing a line (you dont see how many squares you've colored) New thing that I rather enjoyed was you can color/delete other than straight line. Still, I'm still rather on the fence about this game. If I ever buy it, it will be as a "filler" to get 2 or the price of 1 or simular.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs some changes Griddlers are my favorite game to play but the ONE thing that can make me dislike them is guessing! There should always be a logical play. You just have to find it. I played this until level 19 and had 11 min. left when I quit. Only because I didn't like having to guess what my next move would be. I also prefer the numbers to come up when I move down a line. So it shows how many squares are being used. This game shows no numbers. On the good side. I love having the option to change colors! It makes the puzzles more fun and the finished pictures more clear. If you can't find a move in one color you just change to one where there is a play. Unfortunately it didn't always work in this game. This did have some new items to make and that was great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just not enough I look forward to finding one of these griddler-type games every day on Big Fish, just like I used to look forward to the Hidden Object games until they were overflowing. I'm thinking that the developer sprang to release this too early to jump in on the griddler craze. The graphics are nice. The music is okay. The multiple colors are fine. I just don't like to have to guess. There were some levels that there was no way I was going to know where the next block would be without using one of the weird hints. (Like a level that has multiple 1's to fill in when there is a choice of 2 or 3 spaces for each one.) The idea of buying more hints from the points I accumulated was a nice idea, but I would be using them up pretty fast or making more mistakes than I do in other games. Also, and this is my mental laziness showing, I don't like to have to count every single block when I'm coloring in a bunch of them (like over 5). I can guesstimate by eye if there are 5 blocks in a row. But when I'm going to color in more than that, I like the game to count them for me so I don't make a mistake and go over my allotted squares. It may be petty but it really influences how much I enjoy the game. With as many griddle/nonagram games out, the future releases need to have something a little extra, or at least all the bells and whistles of the previous games.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from liked I liked this game, but when the black comes up I can't see the numbers. So unless that changes I won't be buying this game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Basic at best - then locked up. I love gridders, but this one has the most basic graphics for the actual game. The colors were very close in tone, the numbers for the grid were often hard to read because they were the same color as the background only darker. Then it locked up at the end of a puzzle - 4 times - so I wrote my first review in a long time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I'm ging for a lie down now to rest my poor eyes!!! Euchhhh! Such horrible colours! On one puzzle the colour was such a pale pastel I couldn't even see if I had filled in any squares!!! Although I only played the demo the puzzles were so simple I began to make mistakes because I was so bored and lost concentration - an absolute no-no for me - sorry BFG!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Enjoyable I was really looking fwd to another griddlers game however I was very disappointed. From what I saw there w/b a decent storyline. When filling in squares there was no number count showing how many I had filled or "X"'d out. On the darker colors, I wasn't able to really see the number of squares that needed filled. For anyone wanting a real challenge, this is it. If I had gone further than 4 or 5 puzzles maybe it would have improved.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO GUESS WITH A GRIDDLER GAME The number one rule of thumb for a Griddler game is, never guess. These types of puzzles should be solved using logic, not hints, and certainly not by guessing, but that's exactly what you have to do to solve some (but not all) of these griddler puzzles! It's really a shame, because this would have been a 5 star game if not for that. Although the pictures are somewhat simplistic, and only 3 colors are offered, I loved the music, and I loved the storyline. I just don't want to use a hint, and guessing is a big no, no! This is a Griddler based story that follows Hercules and his quest to fulfil 12 labors for King Eurystheus. The gods told Hercules that if he completed 12 labors for the king, he would become immortal, (his father is Zeus, his mother is a mortal, which makes him a demigod) but the king fears Hercules. If Hercules is to complete the 12 labors, he must find a way to gain King Eurystheus' trust, one griddler at a time. You can purchase upgrades in the shop to help you as far as the hint feature goes. the Laurel Wreath will open 1 random square, the next upgrade opens 2 random squares. Athena's Blessing opens 1 square of your choice the next upgrade opens 2 squares of your choice. Thunder of Zeus opens 5 squares, the next upgrade opens 9 squares. As I stated earlier, this game has great potential, but a Mosaic Griddler game should be solvable logically, and I shouldn't have to use a hint just to solve a puzzle, and I hate using the hint feature, so this is a no go in my opinion.
