Ghost Files: The Face of Guilt is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from GHOST FILES: THE FACE OF GUILT IS AN OUTSTANDING MURDER MYSTERY!!! A serial killer known as The Guilty Man is going around the town hunting down his victims. Emily Meyer, an amateur police detective, is assigned to solve this chilling case. Can she catch the killer just in time before he claims his tenth body? Brave Giant Studios, the team behind such famous series like Queen’s Quest and Demon Hunter, is back with a brand-new series, and it is more thrilling than ever. Right from the start, you'll know your getting into a juicy murder mystery; one that involves paranormal spirits. The storyline here might not be all that different when compared to other HOPAs with similar “who-dun-it” type of storyline. However, the way that the story develops and unravels in this game is something special. The game managed to keep me on the edge of my seat all the way through. We also appreciate the inclusion of a special feature, the Lab, which allows for the examination of pieces of evidence and really gets you involved in the investigative process. Gameplay wise, Ghost Files: The Face of Guilt is extremely well-crafted. While the challenge level might not be high, the game is not primary-grade easy either. The hidden object scenes present some innovative ideas and the puzzles are all quite entertaining. Like any other recent releases from Brave Giant, Ghost Files: The Face of Guilt has a stunning production. The graphics are beautifully drawn and stunningly painted. Some scenes can look a little muddy, but that is appropriate for the suspenseful atmosphere of the game. Further, the orchestral soundtracks are always intriguing and not at all distracting. Brave Giant really impresses both with delivery and production. I look forward to more edition of this series in the future. Cheers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Game! First of all, ignore the other reviewers that are moaning about the name of the killer being revealed in reviews as you find this out in the first half an hour of the game. It's not an integral part! This is my first review for big fish, although I have been a member for a number of years, but I felt I had to leave this due to the reviews I read before playing this game (namely the ones mentioning the above). This game has a captivating storyline and is a mix between an adventure game with HO screens and various mini-games. It's not the most original in terms of gameplay but has an interesting plot with a few twists along the way. I would recommend it to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Investigation beyond physical It wasn't hard to get hooked on this game since first minute when we get mysterious call by person who claims to know important info about our case and in the same time we are offered help by psychic. I don't want to spoil anything for those who did not played it yet so I'll just say that whatever I expected was toped by very clever storytelling and finest details by which story reveals to us. I enjoyed forensic kit and adored hidden object scenes, especially one in refrigerator. Whole rooms - scenes are well thought out and for curious and devoted player there's more than plenty rewards. One part of investigation is really delving into paranormal circumstances and proofs from beyond as name of the game predicts and it was challenging as much as it was fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS is why MadHead continues to be my fave dev! I could write a lengthy review reiterating what everyone else has already pointed out as far as gameplay, graphics, extras, etc., however, I'll just say that if you don't give it a shot, you're missing out. I've said for awhile now that MadHead is my favorite developer and they continue to show why they are deserving of praise. Surely one of the best games to come out in 2017 and will be hard to top. If anyone is up to the challenge, this dev is. Try it, I doubt you'll be disappointed! Off to buy now and finish the adventure :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great game I am really enjoying this game. The reason it got a fair amount of bad reviews was simply because they had decided to hide the bonus content from the demo. Lesson learnt I hope devs !! The game is really good - an old fashioned detective murder mystery and I am so loving NO monsters, furry helper, floating men in cossaks and ancient evil..etc etc. Also it would appear to be long in length as I have been playing for some time but am only half way I think. I didnt buy the CE version due to so many negative reviews and also because of the title - no use calling it "Ghost files" when in fact there are no ghosts !! It should have been called "Murder Files". However I had a backlog of credits so I took a chance. What a good decision. Try it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD ONE FROM BRAVE GIANT GAMES Players have tasks such as finger printing, blood typing, hidden objects, puzzles and a mystery to solve. A serial killer is on the rampage and must be stopped. Game seems slower and dated, however, the realistic story line, beautifully detailed, hand-drawn art work and good old-fashion hidden object puzzles are refreshingly welcome! To name just a few of their previous hits: Demon Hunter I, II, and III, Brave Giant Games are outstanding developers and have my full support with two thumbs up. Definitely a buy! Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WILL EMILY MEYER CATCH GARY FIELDS? REVIEW FROM COMPLETED GAME AND BONUS You play a cop, Emily Meyer, to track down Gary Fields, a serial killer. Even though the game and bonus are separate, they are linked up together. You also have Susan, a physic, who helps you throughout the game and bonus. There is: * Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom modes of play; * Interactive map; * Diary. You have a forensics kit with you to test blood samples, fingerprints and bullets. You do each one once. You will also have a forge to mix elements to use in limbo land which you will use quite a lot. The graphics are very good. Everywhere is kind of gritty and dirty - just like a cop show, which is based in Boston. I loved roaming around the scenes. Sound is good and the music is orchestral and piano. The hidden object games are slightly interactive straightforward and silhouette which have morphing objects in them as well. There are also various HOPs with 12 items to find. Items are clear to see and find and each one only takes a couple of minutes. You can also play Shuffle to break up the HOPs, if you wish. The mini-games are fun to do. None of these are too hard or frustrating. There are a good variety to conquer and each one only takes a few minutes. So, do you get the CE or SE? In the CE there are 22 Achievements, find 10 pictures, 20 tarot cards and 5 pieces of equipment. I enjoyed playing Emily Meyer - she gets shot, knocked-out, is in a car crash and falls down a deep hole - just to name a few. All up the game and bonus took me about 6 hours to play and I enjoyed every minute, so well done Boris and the team. Definitely comes recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of Typos! No proofreading before this was released, apparently. Good game but not much of a challenge, which takes away from it for me. Was happy to see a game without wispy ghosts and dark energy. Think you'll enjoy this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great buy on the daily deal I was reading the reviews and they seemed to be all over the place. One of my favorite reviewers really did not like this game. BUT I tried it for myself. It is not the best game ever but for a daily deal I think this is a great buy. Smooth game play Interesting story line No ghosts so not sure where the title came from Music is not great so muted that For a hot summer afternoon, a good buy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good game I really enjoyed this game. Usually I don't play a game completely in one sitting, but I did this one. I found the game more challenging than other HOS games I've played. HOS were interesting and varied and easy to see and play, which made them fun. Puzzles were good, somewhat challenging so I skipped a few. Storyline had a twist but the game ended a bit abruptly...which was the only down for me...would have like to have seen a better conclusion. Game ran smoothly and was not as obvious in solutions to some issues as other games I've played, which made it interesting and a bit of a challenge. Map was good, but I used the hint a lot, which is unusual for me so I feel the game was more challenging than others I have played lately. Game must have been about 3-4 hours long since it is now 10:15am and I started about 7am ish. I tend to lose track of time when I play a game so interesting.
