Maze: Nightmare Realm Collector's Edition is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Playing a 2nd time... Great series Two things I noticed playing it the second time.... A bit of the dialog is written and not voice overs..... and the ghostly guy in the TV with Timmy.... He spoke and lips didn't move at all! :( Just small things took away from the game a bit.. BUT this is an awesome game series.. Played first twice too... Great graphics and I love her expressive voice when they did use voice over for her... WILL THERE BE ANOTHER??? Hope so

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this game!!!! Based on the past offerings in the Maze stories I purchased the CE without even trying it. It did not disappoint. I think the game was a little different from the earlier ones but still just as engaging and enjoyable. There were some challenging things in the game but it was not very difficult and moved at a nice pace. Not too much back and forth either. If I had one even slightly negative comment it would be that the game was a little short. It is really a compliment since lately I have been bored by the time I reach the end of some of the games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At last! A different storyline. After I've been bored by a series of ho hum stories and cloned games, trust Mad Head to give us an original storyline spiced with the hint of horror at every turn, dry humour and interesting puzzles. The ending might be a bit prosaic but it made sense....still I'm glad to find the bonus game has a darker twist!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from another amazing madhead game My first thoughts, apart from loving everything MadHead do, was "Oh no... more monsters !! I do hate them. But then ***SPOILER ALERT*** they turn out not to be monsters and I let out a big sigh of relief. The game is great as always - and MH have always excelled at great voiceovers which makes the games so intriguing . Their HOPs are fantastic and each time they manage to make them a little more different from the last game. I like the morphs within too. ENJOY

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Sequel That Keeps Up the Quality & Fun Based on Main & Bonus Games Madhead definitely makes excellent quality games overall, but sometimes we wonder if sequels will live up to the original. Wonder no more, this game is fun, quirky, original and creative. Excellent graphics, scenes, & music, with decent challenge and storyline. Very good effort was put into HOs so you don't get same-o, and there are new puzzles as well. There's a good balance between the two, about 50/50. At some point in adventure, you get a choice how to proceed with occasional "ouch!" results, so think wisely. There are Madhead symbols in every scene, and you can go back to find any you missed in Extras. Same with morphs, which are in all the HOs. CE bling includes achievements, collectible Madhead symbols, a mega-HO for getting all said symbols, and a jigsaw puzzle. I'm thinking you have to get 3 stars on every HO to open the jigsaw but I could be wrong. Also included are replayable HOs plus the usual. The bonus game extends the protagonist's story and lasted about 45 minutes. The main game in hard mode is about 3 hours. Therefore my only complaint about this game is length; I wanted it to last longer! Is it worth a CE? Oh, yes. The high quality production values that continued into the bonus game definitely made this sequel worth it. I was sorry when it ended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from About time we got a challenging game! I loved this game and wished it would have gone on longer. When I give a review, which isn't often, it's short but to the point. This game had a little of everything and I don't usually buy CE because by the time I'm over playing the original game I'm usually bored. Not with this one. There were a few hard to believe issues with actions to take, but all in all great fun. Give it a try for yourself. Like I have said before, not every game is for everyone, but for me this was GREAT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DON'T HARM HIS PETS, REALLY YOU DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH HIS PETS, HE GETS PRETTY ANGRY, DON'T MAKE HIM ANGRY Welcome to Timmy's nightmare, welcome to another creepy Mad Head game! I don't think this game is as epic as Subject 360, and the storyline is very similar to Stranded Dreamscapes: The Prisoner, but MH knows how to put the mad into madness with just a touch of twisted insanity and warped visions of a nightmarish realm! Timmy's father is a doctor who specializes in dreams, but has been unable to bring Timmy back to reality. Aunt Christine however, specializes in nightmares, and has agreed to enter Timmy's nightmare, and help him fight the demons that are haunting him. There's just one problem, Jimmy doesn't want to leave, until he completes his "dare" In this Collector's Edition, there are 31 Collectible Hidden Signs, some of which are very well hidden. There are also 19 Morphing Objects, one in each of the Hidden Object Scenes. I prefer the Morphs in each location, not in the HOP's, but Mad Head games seem to only offer them within the HOP's on all of their games. Honestly, this game doesn't have enough of a wow factor as far as the extra's go, to warrent the price difference, but today's sale takes care of that problem! The Hidden Object Scenes are far and few between, and consist of Multiple finds, (one of which allows you to earn several achievements) there are Keywords in Sentence finds and Listed items as well, and in this CE version, each HOP has a Morphing Object to find. The Morphs are very well done, and not very obvious, making them a fairly decent challenge. The Mini Games range from easy to medium difficulty, so far nothing really frustrating offered. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Press buttons in the correct sequence, according to the clue located somewhere in the room. 2) Select a token to move it to an adjacent empty slot, to arrange tokens in the correct rows. 3) Select misplaced objects and return them to the scene correctly. 4) Stop the crosshairs when it passes over the window handle. 5) Select the numbered tiles on the board to light them up, so the sum of the lit up tiles equal that shown on each column and row. 6) Swap and rotate tiles to complete the image on three different puzzles. 7) Select and jump coins into an empty slot to remove them. 8) Repeat the sequence of statues lighting up. MAZE GAMES AVAILABLE Title***Collector's Edition Release Date***Average Rating -Nightmare Realm (August 12-17) n/a -Maze: Subject 360 (August 1-15) 4.6 This Collector's Edition has Wallpapers, 8 Character pictures, 31 Collectible Hidden Signs, 19 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 10 Morphing Objects within the HOP's, 10 Achievements to earn in several categories, 34 Mini Games, 5 Music Soundtracks, Jigsaw Puzzles to assemble, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy the nightmare, and remember, don't mess with his pets!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It! While I have only played the demo, I have already purchased the game. Madhead is one of my favorite Devs, and this game does not disappoint! It has exceptional graphics, and the story line is really good! With all the games on the market these days, coming up with unique puzzles and HOS has got to be difficult, but MH has accomplished it in this game. As always, try the demo for yourself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If You Are Bored, You have Played Too Many Games Far too many reviews lately have mentioned "boring" "lazy" "dull" etc etc... And yet the game, when based on its own merits, looking past the personal expectations and over-the-top expectations, what you get is a fantastic fun to play game! When you plug in the game just to play a game, you actually enjoy it! When you play a game, not to review it, but to have fun, that is what you actually get! Yes, some of the games are not fun or as good as others, that is to be expected, not some sort of big surprise or result of devs. When you have played 100's of games, your expectations are far beyond a realistic expectation and ratings become useless to those of us who just like to have fun! Especially to new players! THIS GAME IS FUN and one of the best in some time. I hope to see more like this. And I hope to see more realistic ratings based on the game itself so that when I come to buy a game, there is an honest rating that I can measure it by. Something I have not been able to do for nearly a year now!!! Put on the headphones, turn off the lights and have fun! That is what this game is all about and you will enjoy it, just as much as I have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Timmy Needs A Hobby!! Maze was challenging, definitely a strain on my brain in some situations. In the demo I had to really pay close attention to the little things, find code numbers, and poke a monster in the face with a fireworks rocket. Actually would like to have seen more of him! The whole dreamscape concept in this instance was a little hokey, IMO. But it made a good story, a pretty involved storyline. However, nothing made me jump in fear, the monster didn't appear long enough in the demo to cause any kind of reaction, the TV ghost was a mere annoyance, and I saw no inexplicit content.. I was very intrigued with this dare Timmy got himself into and was hoping to discover his reward, if he conquered the challenge. Although not bored with the game, I expected more action. I found it to be rather calm and quiet for the most part. But this is only what I perceived in the demo, maybe I didn't make good progress. There may have been utter chaos waiting in another room ,,, but my time ended! The graphics were mostly a darkish atmosphere, to add to the nightmare setting. Not much to see or hear in regards to the characters, But then, Timmy's dream required a certain quietness and solitude. I thought the games were unique and pretty challenging, I really enjoyed them but had to skip a couple. They took more time and thought than expected. HOPs were all excellent and a couple of them were unique and interesting. Loved the one matching the objects to the ink blots. I can see where the developers put their talents into high gear. Their quality creativity shows throughout what I was able to see.in my 90 minutes. The efforts certainly make this Maze game worthy of a 5-star rating. But it just lacked the action, colorful visuals and interesting characters that I look for in a game. Even though it is a no for me, I'm absolutely sure it will thrill so many of you! And the variety of game modes (I like their titles), makes it possible for anyone to join Timmy in his courageous super-dare quest. Faith....
