Sally's Salon: Beauty Secrets Collector's Edition is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So cute and fun ! I love this game ! The story is great and humoristic. Characters are well build and François fit very well in a hairdressing salon. Locations are different with great design. Beautiful details and some fun add like the Julio song. Many things to do, trophies and some special treasury to buy. If you like TM and specially the GH games you will enjoy it. Wayyyy better than the old boring version... Happy Gaming : )

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More fun than the latest "Delicious" games. IMO This is a fun "Delicious" game. I like it better than Heart's medicine and the latest Emily game. The story is fun, as well as the locations. It may even tie into a later Emily game story version? It would be a good one if they do. The game play is easy to get 3 stars in Normal mode. I had to replay some over because of the mini-games. So there is challage. I know it is not like the old Sally games, but I have become very fond of the "Delicious" style of play. And I love the story line. So fun! Demo it, of course. Buy if Emily is a favorite, there are many of her "people" that show up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it A great game and a sale to boot. If you like TM games, it is not to be missed. Great story and visits from lots of Emily characters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Good Combitantion Being a fan of both the Sally and Delicious games, I found this to be a good combination of their different types of gameplay. I would have preferred a more Sally-style game where you can get kind of a rhythm going and do things in a certain order, where you can't do that here. That said, the gameplay was still quite fun, and the minigames, which the Sally games are built on, aren't as disruptive as they can be in some of the other Delicious games. It was also nice for Sally to finally have something of a personality. The original Sally games weren't exactly known for their stories. That said, the story here was kind of weak and on the silly side, even for a Delicious game. And the climax was...well, anti-climatic. Even so, it had a lot of heart, as all the Delicious games do. Overall, a fun game and Sally's a great add to the Delicious universe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from SALLY JUMPED ON THE DELICIOUS TRAIN AND DERAILED! The Sally's series was an excellent Time Management game series. I say was, because Sally's Salon: Beauty Secrets is nothing like the earlier games. It seems that nowadays, every TM game by this dev jumps on the Delicious Series train, to incorporate all the characters that made Delicious so lovable. Just because Emily and her family and friends, pop in to get a beauty treatment, doesn't mean this game will be just as great or just as fun. Snuggford may be a small town, but it sure has a lot of businesses, and everybody seems to know everybody. Sally games used to be unique, but now it's nothing more than a spinoff extension of Delicious, a spinoff without quality entertainment! You can play this game in Beginner, Normal, or Expert difficulty modes, and all the features are the same as the Delicious, Fabulous Angela, Mary le Chef and Hearts Medicine, with just different Salon related tasks. Even Carl the mouse makes an appearance for bonus points. There is a Star Meter to show you when you have reached Expert status, and you can replay any levels to try for a better star rating. Every fourth level has a bonus level you can play to earn Diamonds that will allow you to help Sally complete her memories of her favorite singer Julio, and there are 17 Trophy Achievements to earn. The goal is to provide clients with the service they desire, as quickly as possible to keep their heart score as high as possible. When clients arrive, you simply click on the station that matches their thought bubble, and then complete a quick minigame such as shampooing their hair or using scissors to clip the stray hairs. You select the items necessary to complete the tasks such as scissors, curlers, blow dryers or hair color. Some items may require combining several items, others may just require a single click. To apply the task at hand you simply click on the client, and at least in the demo there is no need to drag the customer here or there which is a feature I don't really like. When the customer is ready to pay, you click on the register to check them out. You need to clean the stations after each client leaves to allow new clients to arrive, and you can use the money you earn to upgrade counters, stations and equipment that will keep customers happy and more patient, or give them faster service or allow more clients to be served at the same time. Sally's Salon, unfortunately ain't what it used to be. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delicious. Again.... I was so excited to see that there is a new version of Sally's Salon! Then, I saw that it was not Sally's Salon, but yet another of the countless Delicious spawns. Sally's Salon was a very good game - are the developers not able anymore to make a TM game that does *not* look and play like the Delicious series? I understand that it's a very popular series and I assume it's cheaper, faster and more convenient to just use the same framework over and over again, instead of coming up with an actual new idea, but as a customer I feel very annoyed with this. So, the gameplay is basically the same as in the other many many many Delicious games, just with different items. Instead of burgers or salads, you build gift baskets from components, instead of serving food, you provide hairstyling services, but it's done in the same way, even the annoying coffee machine is back. The original Sally's Salon had quite a lot of minigames - choosing the new hair colour or cut, cutting or painting nails right, and so on. This new version incorporates very few of them and they are much simpler than they used to be in the original. Another challenge of the original game was that many customers came in. You had to decide how to serve them to get in as many as possible before the shop closed and also serve them all on time - there were always more guests than service stations and all the guests required several service stations, so there was a bit of strategy involved. It was the best part of the game to juggle this. There were also different kinds of customers with different preferences - again adding to the challenge in a unique way. This is all gone now. Again, it's the usual Delicious formula - you hardly ever have more guests than available chairs; they look differently, but that's about it when it comes to customer variery. Another unique feature sacrificed to the "let's all games use the Delicious gameplay"-strategy of the developer. The music is simply awful, I turned that off quickly (again something the original Sally's Salon did so much better). The story is not very exciting and partly predictable. The visuals are nice enough and they did come up with good different looks for customers. (But what happened to Emily's eyes? She's looking horrible). The different treatments are also good in variety and of course Francois is a big plus - I missed him in the Emily series when it started to be all about Paige. Another positive thing is that the challenge level is quite good (though, for reasons detailed above, far below the original Sally's Salon). One is kept busy and there are three skill levels again. A big improvement to the dismal last Emily game. Still, in spite of the small additions, this game has two major faults for me: 1. It's not a new edition of Sally's Salon, as it claims to be, as the original game's unique feature are mostly gone 2. It's yet another Delicious game with the same gameplay as all the other Delicious games. Buying it would be like paying again for a game I already own several times. I hope there will be a TM game soon that does not follow the by now stale Delicious formula.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not like other Sally games I originally tried this game on a mobile platform, mainly because I find it easier to play these types of time management games with a touchscreen. However, I wasn't too thrilled with this particular version. I'm glad that they updated it, but anyone who's played the Sally games before knows that she was never associated with Emily from the Delicious series. And now, both Emily and Francois are both in this game. Don't get me wrong, I love Emily as much as the next gamer, but she doesn't need to be everywhere. What I didn't like about this game was how many steps it can take to get some customers out the door. That's even too much for a touchscreen, let alone for a mouse. And the first few levels weren't very easy to get through. I'll admit that Heart's Medicine: Time to Heal was a little more challenging than the Delicious games, but this Sally game is a lot more challenging. So, it may not be for everyone. I do like the new graphics, though, and the new character styles. I can't really say much about the storyline since I didn't get past the first few levels before I deleted it. I recommend this game for anyone who really loves a challenge, because that's what you'll get. I also highly recommend using a touchscreen because, unless you're fast, a mouse may not work for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointingly unlike the other Sally's Salon So, this game like most games now are in the Emily/Delicious family. So, while that is not bad, I was looking forward to a different time management game with a slightly different play. I miss the old Sally Salon and Sally Studio. It is a good game (that's why the 3 stars) but I am very disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A very clunky game... I love the Delicious series and I loved the previous Sally games. Combined, while still cute, this game was very...clunky. I like when the Delicious series has layouts in each level that pose a little bit of a challenge but the layout of each level in this game was, well, awkward. Having the "Closed" sign pop up massively on the screen while trying to "cut" someone's hair is the most annoying thing, ever. The storyline was okay but I really felt as if something was lacking in this game. It wasn't up to par for the Delicious series OR the previous Sally games. It was mediocre and that is disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Same old same old There's nothing new here. Same gameplay and even on beginner mode, starts out at a breakneck pace. Looking to purchase something during this weekend's sale but I'll pass on this one.
