Rated 4 out of 5 by from ~~~GRIM FACADE 9 : WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DOWRY?~~~ Time to join Inspector Lestrade on another case in the continuing saga of Grim Façade. After learning of Amanda Aquille's mysterious illness your investigation leads you to Amanda's mother...Madam Aquille. When you question her she tells you that her daughter died six (6) months ago and because her husband Mr. Aquille loses the family estate in a card game gambling, there was no money to cure her illness or pay for her funeral expenses. Madam Aquille seeks comfort in a hallucinogenic herbal tea and the storyline becomes more bizarre. Murders continue to occur, leaving characters baffled. Only when you save Dr. Fancisco Crioni (the money lender who treated Amanda) do you suspect their may be more than just a ghost murdering people for jewelry and money. The cast of characters are as follows: ◾ Inspector Lestrade, the Inspector who hired the Detective to investigate the truth behind the numerous cases of the Ghost Bride. He becomes one her victims but not before asking the Detective to protect the town in his place and find out the Ghost Bride's true identity. ◾ Amanda Aquille, the young woman from the once distinguished Aquille Family who passed away before her wedding six month shortly before the story and the rumored Ghost Bride. It seems that her unrest spirit is fixed on taking revenge on those who brought miseries to her family and recovering her dowry. ◾ Madame Aquille, the mother of Amanda and the wife of Seignior Aquille who committed suicide due to his gambling debt. Madame Aquille was forced to put the rest of her family's treasures on auction to pay for her daughter's treatment and funeral shortly before the story. The police's investigations left her with bitter feeling. ◾ The Undertaker, a man who worked at the town cemetery. He is attacked by the Ghost Bride's ice magic but saved by the Detective. Madame Aquille gave him the family's golden watch in exchange for him giving Amanda a proper funeral. ◾ The Doctor, the doctor who treated Amanda before she passed away. He refused to order a medicine that could've saved her due to its expensiveness and that Madame Aquille was unable to paid for it. He becomes one of the Ghost Bride' murdered victims. ◾ The Ghost Bride, the antagonist of this game who is believed to be the ghost of Amanda Aquille. She displays supernatural powers such as passing through solid gates and doors as well as fighting with cryokinesis and ice shuriken. Her skeletal body is corporeal and she is also capable of shedding blood. ◾ Martizez the creepy cast who is a standard character in Grim Façade series. I recommend all the Grim Façade games. Cheers! •Mystery of Venice • Sinister Obsession • Cost of Jealousy • A Wealth of Betrayal • The Artist and the Pretender • Hidden Sins • Monster in Disguise •The Red Cat • A Deadly Dowry

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Deadly Dowry Unfortunately some of the same elements appear in this game as in the prior ones. I particularly do not care for the disc that makes you find objects. The hidden objects were standard. The one thing that I did like was the map and traveling through the underground, finding objects to help you get out. I also thought that the game was shorter than usual and ends abruptly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Grim Facade, Grim Play :( I love the idea behind the GF series, they just are executed so poorly. The puzzles are either too simple or just tedious with minimal instruction. I watched one of the You Tubers actually hit skip as they just couldn't finish the turning pylon puzzle. I actually did solve it, just because I wanted to waste the time and make sure it could be done, however, it was very unsatisfying as it was just click until it worked. And there were at lease 2 more like that. Or the games were so easy that I couldn't believe that I had actually solved them, surely there was more...... The lack of a reset button makes me crazy. BUT...I do like the stories and it is maddening that they are so short. About an hour, maybe 90 minutes of game play, if that. So sad that they can't flesh it out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from AT LEAST THE CE VERSION HAS COLLECTIBLE ROSES My hat's off to my friend skullfun who was able to finish the game, and has written an excellent review! I just couldn't get into this game at all. I usually finish the SE version of the demo to compare both versions, but I just couldn't force myself to complete this demo, so that review is way more informative than mine! I will say, that at least the CE version has collectible Roses to keep you occupied. Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version if either is right for you: Here I go again! I'm on another paranormal investigation, and right off the bat, I pick up a large vase that seems to have something inside because it's rattling. Do I blow it off, because it's probably just chipped pottery? Do I turn it upside down and shake out the contents? Nope, I search my surroundings for something heavy enough to smash it to pieces! This isn't even my pottery, and I certainly shouldn't claim the prize as my own. Guess what I do next, I find an oil container, and yes, it too has magical anticorrosion properties! Then I read the bulletin board and low an behold, Martinez is missing!!! (he's that really scruffy looking cat that shows up everywhere) WHAAAT?!? This seems like a much bigger case to me, who cares about another scorned undead bride, Martinez is missing people! Not to mention there's a 1000k reward which is way more than the chump change I just got for my traveling per diem! On with my case and my first interview with the mother of the undead bride. Turns out her family fortune was squandered by her gambling hubby, which is probably good enough reason to roll over in your grave, but certainly not enough to make you want to get up out of your cozy coffin, so I'll have to investigate further. So I notice some interesting knight statues in the house, and the black bar tip says "I wonder if they are for sale?" Well it's a little too late for helping this poor old woman, and she's been through alot man, am I really going to offer to buy these after the poor woman lost everything? (well technically she still has her daughter ) You all can finish playing this game, I'm going to look for Martinez! Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money The game is way to short and no challenge or story line. A waste of money as far as I am concerned

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blink, & you'll miss this one.... Missing this game, is probably for the best! No challenge, whatsoever.. No fun. Graphics, are certainly not the best. Can't comment on sound/music. This has got to be, one of the most boring, insultingly simple, & shortest games, in the history of gamedom! I used to look forward, to new G.F. 's coming out. Now, I'll be looking forward, to them not!
