“This game was OUTSTANDING! I can't remember the last time I adored a game this tremendously. The artwork was so clever with the sketch vibe and the vivid colors in the game play. The character were perfectly voiced. The mini games and hidden objects were inventive. This game was perfection. Well done!”  - Stephanie, Beta Tester

“I thoroughly enjoyed this game! I love the detective! He seems such a skeptic to what is going on around him and I love the case work! Great job on this game!”  - Art, Beta Tester

Dark City: London Collector's Edition is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 66.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Demo: Excellent Story driven trip to Victorian London Loved this game for the concept, location, storyline and the detective character. His deductions reminded me a bit of the Jermey Brett Holmes from the Granada series. Love that there is tons of dialogue and character development. Plot is interesting and intriguing. Definitely a must play for me. Keep up the great work to the studio that worked on this game. Loved the voice acting as well. All around great game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game Very well portrayed characters help to give this game depth along with satisfying graphics and good game play opportunities. The puzzles vary in difficulty which I appreciate. It is pleasing to see that this is the first in what might turn out to be a very good series if the developers continue in this vein.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A well thought out and designed game This game really emersed me into the story in a way that most do not. The puzzles were fun and made sense as part of the storyline. That's hard to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dark City, Bright Start As the first in a new series, this game is a fantastic Hidden Object Detective story. There are so many different types of HO to enjoy and the Storyline is both credible and a delight to follow. The developers have brought new life to HO gameplay and I strongly recommend the CE for both its length and challenge. The extras include a Dominoes challenge - beware he is hard to beat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite game so far I have never submitted a review before, but I have to for this game. This was the best game I have ever played and I have been playing for a long time. The story was wonderful with lots of chances for you to be the detective. I loved the black and white detective clues and it really added to the story. The puzzles were interesting and unique (make a key out of wire to fit the lock!) but not so hard that i had to skip very many. The artwork is beautiful and the story kept me interested all the way through the game. I liked that the story moved forward and you didn't have to go back to locations over and over again. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game With A Little Christmas Story Bonus I loved this game. The artwork, story, and music were excellent. I liked the Sherlock Holmes like quality of the scenes and the detective--all that was missing was a Watson. The Bonus Game was excellent too. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More more more, please! I haven't felt compelled to write a review like this in a long time, but this game is just so amazing I find myself wanting to tell others all about it. First, I want to clarify a long standing issue among my fellow fishies involving "dark" vs "light" games. Just because some of us don't like a steady diet of witches and demons doesn't mean we want them replaced with fairies and cute cuddly things! No! I personally love murder and mayhem, but I think my fellow humans are such a rich resource of material, why would we need to invent dark beings, why not just turn to excellent material like Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, and on and on? Or, brilliantly, create a whole new character, like the wonderful detective in this game? This game is as close to perfect as a game can get for me. I like collectibles and all that, but the story! It's riveting! Unique, refreshing, creative, and satisfying. And I want more. I hope this is the start of a new chapter in games. As far as game play is concerned, it flows like silk, as it should, and the graphics were period perfect. I just want the developers to know how much I personally love their work. As a testimony, I am writing this review while replaying the game a second time! Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ~~A NEW GAME FROM 4FRIENDS YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS!~~ This new series by 4FRIENDS is another example of how popular this developer is quickly becoming. In Dark City: London you play the role of the detective. Called in to the solve the mystery of the cursed clock tower! The developers have done well to evoke the atmosphere of a classic grimy Victorian detective story. Reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes(without Dr. Watson) and Edgar Allan Poe. Especially with the depictions of the locations. The variety of characters – including the voice-acting (which I though was done very well)made this installment more interesting. The plot and game play are also nicely combined. Which quickly draws you into this unfolding dark and eerie mystery. The game play has plenty of variety. Though possibly a bit on the easy side. However there is plenty to do. Including multi-layered hidden object games. With mini-games and puzzles within HO games. Once you’ve collected the evidence at each stage. You’re presented with a deduction board. Where you can put your sleuthing skills to the test. By arranging the clues you’ve collected into the proper order to deduce important facts that will help you solve the case. Overall, this is a well-designed detective game. Though, it may not be very challenging for advanced players. There’s enough tasks involved to enjoy in the varied game play and the story is quite compelling. This HOPA has everything required to make it a fun Victorian mystery adventure. I really look forward to the next game in this exciting new series. Cheers!
