Rated 5 out of 5 by from Challenger and wonderful! Loved it. This is a very good game, a different kind of mosaics... Interesting and you can´t stop playing. I´m already waiting for more of this. Of course I recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Riddles Of The Forest? This griddler game starts out with very basic and easy grids but quickly adds puzzles that become far more challenging. I really liked the "wooden" shades of colors that are presented but they are all just one basic color per grid. At first I thought all the puzzles were forest related images, such as tadpoles, turtles and even fish, but then they threw in images of wine glasses, people and streetlamps which confused me. There isn't a story that goes along with this game, but it is soothing and relaxing. You begin with 3 stars and a star is deducted if you make mistakes. You can choose an auto option that will cross off empty cells, and when the cells are empty, the cells become clear, which is another feature I enjoyed. The Hints are Fairies that when chosen will fly down and fill in 2 or 3 cells for you. There are 20 grids in each of the 6 categories offered, the 6th one has to be unlocked, I'm assuming as you progress. I really liked this griddler game and would probably have given it 5 stars if there were more colors offered in each grid. Give it a try for yourself to see what you think, enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A VERY GOOD GRIDDLER TYPE GAME What a pleasant surprise! I am very fond of the griddler, pictogram or nanogram type games and Forest Riddles is certainly one of the better ones. One of the things I really like is that the game mechanics are smooth and easy to use. There are no clunky push pins to insert in the unused cells and that gives the boards a much cleaner look. After right clicking on an empty cell it is removed from the grid which makes it easier to determine which of the remaining cells need to be filled with the woodsy tiles to complete the picture. Although the grids are centered in the background and don’t fill the entire screen they are still easy to see. The only drawback to the game is that the boards each use only one color. Aside from that this is one of the better games in this category of puzzle games. Although the grids start out fairly simple they soon progress to more challenging ones that take a bit of time to figure out. As I mentioned the game mechanics are simple to use and you left click to place a tile on the board and then right click to remove an empty cell from the board. If you click both mouse buttons at the same time it will cancel your move to help avoid making a mistake. There are five hints available in each puzzle but when you use a hint it removes one of the three stars you can earn for completing a grid successfully. As I have played into the boards, I have noticed something that I don’t like, although it does make the game a bit more challenging, and it is that there is no consistency to eliminating a correctly marked individual cell from the number designations. For instance if there are two cells that need to be filled out of ten and I have one of them correctly placed, it still shows both numbers on the side with one not being marked off. I don’t particularly care for that as it can lead to causing errors. I am a huge fan of a particular “fantasy” type mosaics game and all others seem to pale in comparison so I find very few that I like. Forest Riddles is almost as good but lacks the use of multiple colored tiles in each grid. Even though the color is fairly bland, I love the overall look of the game and the clean mechanics. There isn’t a storyline to the game but I don’t always need that when I want to take a bit of time to relax and have something to distract me from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Since Forest Riddles is one of the better griddler type games it was an instant buy for me. However, I recommend that you try the demo to see if Forest Riddles is a game you will enjoy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice griddler My first half hour went by so fast I could hardly believe it. EASY to play so far. (I was afraid it would be too hard.) Different grains of wood, so its not dull. I like how the background is seen when the empty tiles are out. I would have liked to see colored grains maybe, or the whole background picture as well as the griddler picture.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pretty good It has one great feature !!! and that is the auto remove. I loved it. It could certainly introduce more than one color but overall, it's a good game. Worth the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from UNABLE TO PLAY WITHOUT A MAGNIFYING GLASS When this series came out, I was glad to have another choice in this genre. I have now purchased and played all three games in this series and I have the same complaints for all of them. The background used for the numbers above the columns and next to the rows is a dark blue that the dark colored numbers are impossible to see without a magnifying glass. The background for the tiles is the scene itself, so, depending on what position the tiles fall on the scene, they can also be impossible to see. Additionally, the differences in the colored tiles is often so slight, (black, dark brown, even darker brown), creates another problem that makes the games extremely hard to play. I'm not sure why I continue to struggle with these games. I even purchased a better magnifying glass to help. I'm thinking that the eye strain caused by the choice of color schemes is not worth it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Forest Riddles poor graphics Forest Riddles only really redeeming quality is the zen like music. the graphics are honestly boring unless you happen to like wood grain. The colors are mono-toned, Even after solving a puzzle some leave you still wondering what this picture is actually of. I would not recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Simple and boring Maybe this is an old game I stumbled across. It is only 1 color and that is woodgrain. The images are extremely simple like stick figures would be to drawing. I did not enjoy it and quit the demo after about 10 minutes.
