HexaMon is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very addictive I was hooked on this game after 10 minutes. It offers a great level of challenge and requires strategy and planning. Move monsters around the board to match 4 of a kind. When matched, there is then a single, upgraded monster. Get 4 of those for the next upgrade. The number of eyes a monster has tells you what upgrade they are. If no matches are made, new monsters are placed on the board and the board can soon get clogged up if you're not careful! You can make higher matches, 5, 6, etc; it won't affect the upgrades, but will give you more points. There are various goals to achieve on each board. This might be a certain number of points, upgrading a monster, making x amount of consecutive matches, etc. You continue playing until the goal has been reached or you can no longer make a move. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This game might look cute -- but it isn't! The game is really tough. The first few levels pull you in and all of a sudden you have all these little cute creatures and nothing to match them with. As they evolve the harder it gets to make 4 of a kind. You really have to think your positioning of trying to put 3 of them together. I love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I don't think level 14 is possible!! Wasn't sure about this game at first because the goals aren't clear and a lot of the yellow monsters look alike until you get used to them, but after getting through the limited moves level I was hooked. I'm stuck on level 14 but will have to keep trying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Addictive but.... I played this for 20 min, and wasn't impressed so I read the reviews and went back to try again. It did get more challenging as I went to higher levels. I can see how it would pull you in but for me it is just to repetitive. I think a mini game thrown in to break it up would have been great. I own Claws and Feathers and it's along the same line. Very well made and a fun diversion. Just not for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from DO YOU LIKE CLAWS & FEATHERS? SAME THING ONLY LESS FUN I love playing Claws & Feathers, those pesky cats are always trying to ruin the day for those cute little feathered guys. HexaMon has the same concept of dragging the little monsters, and placing them strategically into a hexagonal cell to make a match with at least 3 other identical monsters. The problem is, this game isn't nearly as fun! Maybe it's because the monsters aren't all that cute, or maybe it's because every level has basically the same goal. I became board about halfway through the demo, after playing one of the levels over and over because I couldn't complete the level within 20 moves. If you pay attention to the HexaMon monsters coming down the pike, you can set up some rather large matches, because of the hexagonal grid style. When you are unable to make a match of monsters, more monsters will appear on random cells. The next HexaMon's to appear are shown at the top of the board, which can clog up the board and make it nearly impossible to find a clear path, which is required to move them. As you progress, getting HexaMon monsters you need to make matches becomes increasingly more difficult. Some of them look similar in color, but they have to have the same hair type, the same teeth and the same number of eyes. It's hard to tell how close you are to achieving the level's goals, and some levels just seem to go on indefinitely. To sum it all up, HexaMon is a Claws & Feathers type game, minus the "wow" factor. It's probably worth a PCC, but then again, you may as well just use the code on C&F!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boaring The music is boaring, the game is boaring. All the levels look alike, the music is always the same. I was very disappointed when I played the demo. It is no funny, it is not exciting

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What am I missing? What can you say about a game with no instructions? I clicked on every icon I saw and could find nothing that tells you how to play this game. If there are instructions, then the developers need to make a more distinct icon so you can find it.
