Dreampath: Guardian of the Forest is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from What A Surprise! Surprisingly fun game! Well done. I was hooked after the first few minutes, and extremely pleased with the storyline and especially the length of the game! I'll definitely be looking into more Dreampath games!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Forest Save the forest from evil. The graphics in this game are some of the best I have seen. The puzzles are really good and with some of them you have to figure out what they want you to do (as no specific instructions) which I found refreshing. The hidden objects are of many types and not just lists. Overall a wonderful adventure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best I've played Everything about this game is excellent. The puzzles are fresh and not impossible to solve but some require a lot of thought. The HOP's are done very well with much more than just lists of items to find, and with superb graphics to hide items in plain sight. The story is well done. I am not one to write down needs, so I used hints here and there to go back to fill in actions, but very few. All in all, a really superior game. Congrats to the developers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was simply enchanted by this 5 Star Game! I was simply mesmerized and enchanted by this gorgeous fun and whimsical game! This for me, is what a 5-star game looks like. I finished the whole game including the bonus game and I have to say I was so sorry to see it end! Usually, by the bonus I'm getting bored and kind of ready for the game to be over but not with this game, I didn't want it to ever end! The graphics were so beautiful I didn't want to leave the enchanted realm and come back to reality so I started playing the game all over again, something I've never done before! I will say most of the mini-games were relatively easy as I was able to do them. The hidden object scenes were highly interactive sometimes there were 2 or 3 levels to them! The music was lovely and fit each scene, but it was the scenery for me that stole the show. Simply breathtaking and enchanting! I've never purchased a game from this developer that I didn't absolutely love and I really wish they would put out more games more often. I know it takes time to make something this lovely and thought out, but I do wish we'd get at least 2 or 3 a year from Boolat instead of so many from a select few game developers. I normally do not buy the CE edition of games but I just had to have this game and BF was offering such a great sale that I purchased it as soon as the demo ended and I'm so very glad I did! The story does wrap up nicely in the SE edition so you do not need to purchase the CE unless you want the bonus game and the collectibles, this SE edition will do nicely for half the price! I highly recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous and dreamy forest...just beautiful... Absolutely love all the nature and forested areas in this game! What a wonderful game to play in the winter, when I'm missing the summer, warmth, plants and flowers. Ahh! This is another game I've been taking my time with and playing along-side other games to ensure I enjoy every second of it. I wasn't a big fan of the characters so I silenced their voices, which made it a much better experience for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IT WILL TAKE YOUR WITS AND SPELLS TO SAVE THIS MAGIC FOREST AND THE KINGDOM I love fantasy games and Dreampath Guardian of the Forest is an absolutely wonderful game. In fact, although I enjoyed the last one in the series Curse of the Swamps, this one is even better. I found the story to be excellent with gameplay that kept my attention all the way through the bonus game. In Guardian of the Forest you play the game as an apprentice wizard to Regis the Master Wizard of the kingdom. You have been called by Regis to continue your education since you show great promise but it isn’t long before you will be tested and will need to use every bit of magic and spell you have or may gain to save Regis as well as the kingdom from the grip of an evil wizard who is now controlling the king. Not only is this new evil controlling the king he is destroying the beautiful magic forest that surrounds the kingdom. As you play the game you will learn the story of a deep hatred and jealousy that drives this evil wizard. Since there are so many reviews already posted you most likely know of all the details by now so there is no need for me to go into them. I will simply say that I enjoyed all of the HOPS and mini-games that were scattered along my path as I played the game. Most of the mini-games were fairly easy but still fun. I enjoy playing a beautiful fantasy game where I can take my time with the puzzles and the HOPS rather than having a puzzle that I need to skip. If there is any shortcoming to the game it is that there are either no instructions or very minimal ones at best on the puzzles. Most of them can be solved or figured out without instructions but there were times when I really had no idea how to start and simply had to fiddle my way around to figure out how to solve the puzzle. If you are like me and love a great fantasy game, I recommend that you give Guardian of the Forest a try along with other games in the series. It is a beautiful game with a good storyline and a good gameplay factor. As always I recommend that you try the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ~~DREAMPATH 4 IS A WONDERFUL ADVENTURE FROM START TO FINISH!~~ This was an instant purchase for me. In this latest edition King Altus is under an evil spell and has accused your mentor, Regis the Master Wizard of attempted murder and ordered him to his death. As an apprentice wizard, you have to save your innocent mentor and rid of the king of sinister forces as you learn more about the dark secrets of the royal family in Dreampath: Guardian of the Forest. Unlike most HOPA developers, Boolat Games only releases a couple of HOPA titles a year. Dreampath: Guardian of the Forest is actually only the second game they have released this year; they took their time with this project, and it shows. Dreampath: Guardian of the Forest centers its storyline around an overused plot about a spellbound king, but with enough cool twists and interesting backstories to keep things fresh. I appreciate how richly-developed the backstory of each main character is; this makes it easy for you to get attached to the characters and feel more engaged in the storyline. Dreampath: Guardian of the Forest is as thrilling as it is not only because of the exciting storyline, but also because it is a perfectly-crafted game. This game is unique and is well-executed in every aspect. The adventure part is satisfyingly challenging with the large number of locations and some rather unconventional tasks. The hidden object scenes are creative, complex, and require some real attention to complete. The mini-games are excellently-integrated into the game, although a higher difficulty level would still be appreciated. Further, the game does not include any nonsense gimmicks. The only extra features it features are the magic spells, which are necessary to the progression of the game. Another strong aspect of Dreampath: Guardian of the Forest is the production. The visuals in Dreampath: Guardian of the Forest straight-up fabulous. Each location is drawn with such sophistication and lushly colored. The cut-scenes are made to the top quality and the soundtracks are beautifully-composed. Length wise, the game is more than the average HOPA. Dreampath: Guardian of the Forest takes around five and a half hours to complete. If you play the CE version, the bonus chapter takes another hour. I recommend the Collector's Edition. The Collector’s Edition includes a strategy guide, soundtracks, wallpapers, videos, concept art, re-playable hidden object scenes, re-playable mini-games, achievements, collectibles, and morphing objects. I hope casual gamers enjoy this game as much as I did. It is a great edition to a wonderful series!!! In this series: •Dreampath: The Two Kingdoms •Dreampath: The Curse of Swamps •Dreampath: Guardian of the Forest

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TIMBER............ What a beautiful Fantasy game! I was impressed with the demo of this game, but I didn't get a chance to finish it until now. What amazed me the most, was how taken aback I was, once again, to see such colorful and detailed graphics. The story has been done before, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, and it piqued my interest throughout the 5 available chapters. I'm a fan of most Collector's Edition's, and the CE of this one had everything I enjoy, so I highly recommend that version over this Standard Edition, if you like Morphing Objects (flowers) and several Collectibles to search for. One thing I liked about the Morphing Objects, is that if you missed one, you could go into the Morphs section and see an outline of the one you missed and it also tells you which area it was located if you hover the cursor over the outlined flower. Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if either is right for you: One minute King Altus was admiring the beauty of the magic trees in his kingdom, the next, he was ordering his people to cut them down, cut them all down! Surely the king was under a spell, an evil spell, but who would do such a thing to their beloved king? Well, King Altus has always believed that the Magic has to serve the people, but he never said anything about dark magic! Boolat games is one of those devs who obviously takes pride in their work. They are somehow able to create adventure games with some of the most vivid colors, and don't get me started on the detail! When I zoomed into one of the scenes the first thing I noticed, was two dried and crumbling leaves! Wow, you might say, who cares? Look at those two leaves, pay attention, because those 2 leaves are incredibly realistic, look around each scene, don't just look for the next obvious task, admire the beauty and the detail, because their artists CARED enough to pay attention to detail. Now if they could just work on the jilted character movements.... I have to admit that I actually enjoyed searching each scene for the colorful twinkling gems the CE version. Because the colors are so bright and vivid, these gems don't always slap you in the face, and some of them are hidden within zoom zones just to catch you off guard. Some of the scenes have Morphing Flowers to discover as well. You play the role of a Magician in training who gets thrown to the wolves. In the demo, the first lesson Regis the chief Wizard teaches you, is the Healing Glyph.(eventually a Sleeping Glyph and Vision Glyph) I'm pretty sure you eventually learn to walk on water but that's just my guess lol. Fire blows from your fingertips as you work your magic on everything and everybody who needs a heal or two, including an overly dramatic archer named Dana. If I wasn't being hunted down at that point I'd probably have held off on my healing thingy just to see if I could get a couple more dramatic moans, coughs, and gurgles from this chick, way to milk it girl! The Hidden Object Scenes are well done and very creative. I have been playing these games so long that I can usually just click on items without looking at the list because they are that obvious. Not this time! although some are obvious, I actually had to stare at a couple of scenes intently, one of which was a very cleverly blended pearl. Most of the scenes are multi layered offering Interactive Listed item finds, Silhouetted Shape finds, Keywords in sentences, and finding Matching Pairs. There are also several Zoom Zone scenes, and usually the last item requires you to leave the scene to find an item to use, and then return. The Mini Games are actually quite entertaining, although they do tend to lean towards the easy side of the scales. I'm okay with any difficulty as long as they are fun. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Swap books to create an image on their binders. 2) Find matching pairs of symbols by flipping over two cards at a time. 3) Repeat the sequence in the correct order. 4) Move tokens to their correct matching colored slots. 5) Arrange the plates in the correct order based on the center symbols. 6) Use directional arrows on columns and rows to move square tiles to create a picture (arrrr) 7) Balance objects on both sides of the scales. 8) Guide the giant Rooster to the forest by choosing the correct turns to make based upon the signs before the turns. 9) Swap mirrors to direct the beams of light from gem to gem based upon their color. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great graphics, okay story The story is familiar, a neglected son comes back as an evil wizard and wants to take the throne. Some puzzles are the usual and some are fresh. The only real problem was that it was too short and it seemed to end abruptly. If you liked the demo, buy it.
