Paris Jewelry Shop is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from basically good game but lacking This is basically a good game. Gameplay is simple and most levels seems fairly easy. My only negative and it lost two stars because of this is in a make over game you really need to allow choices like in Farmscapes or Mansion Makeover. Here you are simply presented with one choice of what to buy. So it comes down to just your basic match 3 with the occasional addition of a room enhancement. There are no mini games to break it up just the same game play every level. If what you are looking for is a simple match three game you will like this. If, like me, you expect a bit more then this is not for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from THE WORLD'S EASIEST MATCH 3 GAME This is a decent Match 3 game that's perfect if you want to play a relaxing game, but if you like a challenge, I'm afraid you'll have to look elsewhere. The Jewel tiles are very pretty and you can choose a High Detail option in the settings section. You can choose to play in a Relaxed mode, Limited Time mode or Limited Moves mode. I chose to play in the Limited Time mode which seemed to have more than enough time to meet the level goals. I did like the fact that the levels jump quickly to the next the level without wasting time, and that you can make matches consecutively without any lag time. There is somewhat of a story about Audrey who loves jewelry so much she decides to follow her dreams of owning a jewelry store. The jewelry shop she can afford requires quite a bit of renovation, so you play Match 3 levels to earn money to buy upgrades. There are the usual obstacles some of which are in jewelry-related themes such as jewelry boxes instead of crates. There are also Frozen tiles etc. and cells that require matches made on top to remove slabs etc. Each level has its own goals of removing slab cells, removing a specific number of specific colored jewels, or dropping rings and other jewelry to the bottom of the board. Large Matches will place a Bonus on the board, all bonuses are color-specific and won't activate until they are included in a match. Matches made in a T formation gives you additional Time, Combos 5x or more gives you a Bomb, Matches in an L formation gives you Lightning, and a Match 6 or 7 gives you a Grenade. Power-ups become available to use once charged. The quicker you make matches, the more powerful they become such as a Hammer or a Shuffle feature, and are located to the right of the board. There are 120 levels, and once you have collected enough money, you can purchase upgrades to the shop, fresh paint, doors, jewelry counters, display cases etc, but you don't get to choose different styles or colors. I whizzed through several levels during the demo and didn't have the need to use any power-ups or bonuses. I quickly became bored because the game was so easily mastered. It is a beautiful game with pretty jewel tiles, so if you're okay with playing an easy-breezy game, there's nothing else negative about the game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lots of matching with little payoff This is another tablet or phone game that was beefed up a bit by providing detailed instructions and different modes of game play. I played in Relaxed mode but there was also Timed and Numbered Move modes. Having those options available was nice. Graphics are simple and a bit fuzzy. The music sounds like it's coming from a tin can which is standard for phone games. Translation to English is humorous at times and no jewelry shop owner I've ever seen looked like a Parisian streetwalker, LOL. While I liked that I earned money to refurbish my jewelry store, I found it takes a lot of clicking and levels completed before I could buy much. And what I bought wasn't all that impressive for a jewelry store. I need to use up a free game coupon so I'll probably get this for my mom to play. But personally, I wouldn't pay the going rate for it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Surely, this is a Tablet, Phone etc game--- NOT a PC Game. I own a PC Game Computer and I gave this game up as it is far too simple for my machine. It is nothing like Bejewelled too simple. PS Maybe would be great on my Phone, Tablet or even the lap-top but definitely not the PC.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from ding, ding, ding Lasted less than a minute...really dorky music which I immediately turned off and every time a jewel moved it was ching, ching, ching, and then when you finished the level...people clapping. Twirly, twisty jewels...I felt like I had fallen in a glitter jar. So many better "jewel" type match 3 out there.
