Customer Reviews
Campgrounds III is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A mighty game! I only have the CE of this game. I thought I would review on the basis of finding it hard to complete on some levels even with the guide on that version. The timer is tough! Having said that, it is a wonderful game full of strategy and fast movement. One of the better TM's around. One matter that came up in the full version (and the others in series)..was the choice to shoot or scare animals..but if you can get past that piece of non PC correctness for the times, you will really enjoy this game I am sure. You will restore a campsite, by building trailers, cabins, villa's etc and bringing in rent, but you will also be required to pay attention to the 'eco' score of your place, with trees, flowers and removal of trash and rocks. There are mines for gold (meaning hire workers) traders to do deals with, bridges to build, tools and seeds to produce..and speed up bonuses etc to help meet the goals. I guess by now there may be video help on the net if you need it, but there is also the 'untimed' option to try your hand side by side with the timed under another profile if you wish to work out your strategies.. Absolutely a winner. Enjoy!.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another in a good series I am undecided whether this is a 4 or 5 star. The first time I played it, I liked it but some levels were not what I liked. The second time I played it, I decided that I liked it far better. I think the writers made an effort to make it work and to make it slightly different level from level. Some of the levels have a bit of a 'trick' but they aren't too hard to figure out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting little game Having discovered the Weather Lord series not long ago, I have, surprisingly enough, begun taking interest in TM games and thus decided to try the demo of several new releases. Campground 3 is my latest exploration in that field, and I must admit quite a positive one. It's a nice, cute, little game which I played in relax mode, as I hate timers. Even though Campground does not innovate in any way, being fairly old school and setting tasks that are the mainstay of other games of same genre, it's nevertheless good fun to build tents, trailers, gardens, shrubs, clear paths, upgrades, etc... as well as collecting rent, all of that amidst an artwork environment that is colorful, neat, pleasant to the eye and well conceived. Of course, reaching all the objectives whithin the time limit (counted in days) requires some kind of strategy that is not necessary in relax mode. So, if you value being in first place on every level, then you'll have to select "timed" mode, a feature that makes TM games more challenging....and even impossible for some. My exploration was limited to the one hour demo, which means I didn't go that far into the game nor could I evaluate the features that are only available on later levels. But, based on the little I saw and anticipated, I believe the game becomes more complex as you advance, and hence much more interesting. I am not enough of a fan of TM games to buy the CE, so I will settle for the SE. Yet, if you fancy 20 bonus levels plus earning trophies and having a strategy guide at hand, you might indeed consider the CE. But, as always, it's a good idea to play the demo first, so you get a rough idea of what to expect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A CAMPING WE WILL GO... I've always liked this Time Management series, mostly because I love camping, especially RV-glamping. We often don't have a destination in mind, we just load the motorhome and take off, stopping at weird areas of interest we didn't even know existed, such as the world's largest hand-dug well. My point is if you don't enjoy camping, you may not enjoy this game because everything is centered around campgrounds, building and upgrading tents and other camping related tasks. In my opinion, there were a lot of missed opportunities that could have made this game more fun, such as building different types of Tent styles with individual color options. As you make money, campers could Upgrade from Camping to Glamping with options to choose pull-behind Travel-Trailers, 5th-Wheelers or Pop-Up campers. Eventually, campers could trade those models in for a bigger and better Motorhome such as, A~class ( large luxury bus type) B~class (smallest of the 3 classes with less room and less amenities) C~class (built on a truck or van chassis, usually has an overhang that extends over the cab) You could even go one step further by upgrading each campsite with camping favorites such as camp stoves, firepits (with smores of course), and maybe even decorations like camper string lights, coolers, and lounge chairs. You could even "build" the campsites themselves by choosing where to place them. Now that seems like an awesome TM/Builder type game that would be fun for everyone, even those who have never been camping! There are 50 Campsite Levels that can be played in a Timed or Untimed difficulty mode, and there are 14 Trophy Achievements to earn in the Collector's Edition version which also includes 20 Challenge Levels, 6 Concept Art Cutscene Videos (time-lapse), and a Strategy Guide. I'm much more impressed with this Standard Edition version. Although you must clear paths to get to the campsites, there's not a whole lot of Resource gathering, instead, you build Factories and buy the resources needed in bulk. This is a multi-click type of TM game where you click on campsites and then a specific Tab. ~The Housing Tab allows you to choose from several options such as Tents, Campers, Cabins, resorts, etc. which depends on the level goals as to which one to build. Each "housing" type can be upgraded 3 times, each upgrade earns more rent than its predecessor. Buildings can also be Salvaged if it's no longer useful, allowing you to erect a new building or tent. ~The Buildings Tab allows you to build Factories for supplies, Farmhouses for food and other camp-related necessities, such as Playgrounds or Tennis Courts. Factories and Farms, for example, allow you to buy supplies in bulk amounts, which you need in order to build and upgrade the tents. As I stated earlier, if you like camping, you will probably like this game. It's not a hard game to master because there aren't a lot of strategies to overcome, and it can become a little repetitive until you get the option to build more than just a tent. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Alright game with .... ...rather creepy voice/noises added. Can't stand those guys' grunts and groans or whatever they are doing; it's just plain creepy. Otherwise seems like a good enough TM game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Far too hard The game would have been awsome IF ... it was not just near impossible to get the 3 stars even with walkthrough, videos... It's just discouraging

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Seriously? Shooting elephants? Was enjoying this game until I came to the level in which you either have to shoot or scare away elephants in the road. Shooting is quicker, scaring gives you more eco points. The strategy guide encourages you to shoot two of them. Any game which normalizes shooting endangered animals has lost me, especially one which has an eco element to it (I'm sure they could have come up with an alternative blockage and/or means of removal). Have deleted the game and won't be playing any more in this series.
