Customer Reviews
Fables Mosaic: Little Red Riding Hood is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this game! Loved it I seem to be one of a very few who did! I found it an excellent way to relax without being bored. To me so many of the so called "relaxing" games are just plain boring. It is not a strictly kiddie game and it would have to be an older child at that. The storyline we all know well of Little Red Riding Hood was cute, non violent and entertaining. I almost didn't download the trial because of the negative reviews, and I would have been deprived of a thoroughly relaxing yet challenging game that I thoroughly recommend. Give it a chance, try the trial. I am sure you will enjoy it if you ignore the naysayers

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good, but a little hard on the eyes I love nonograms, and this one is pretty good. The backgrounds are nice, and the contrast between selected squares and the blank squares is very good. However, when a large number of squares are selected correctly, the screen does a bit of a "magic" warp which gets very hard on the eyes after a while. The screen warping is the only reason I can't give this a 5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some Kids Will Love This! The idea of the fairy tale is good. The colors are bright and cheerful. The sounds drove me nuts! Not the background music, although it got tiring, but the beeps and other sounds I really can't describe. I guess the most annoying thing was the pulsing screen whenever a line was filled in; really hard on the eyes. The pictures are simple--perhaps too much so. It was fun for the first 3.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from HEY THERE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD...QUICK USE YOUR MAGIC WAND? I wasn't crazy about this Mosaic game, the graphics weren't very pretty, and there are no Tile variations to choose from to give the puzzles more depth. I definitely didn't like the way the board pulsated when filling in large groups of numbers, which I'm assuming was to make it appear magical? Every time I'd cross-off or X a cell, the proceeding sound gave me the impression that I had just made a mistake, and I had a hard time "envisioning" some of the completed pictures which I would never have guessed what they were had they not been labeled. The tutorial was very vague, although it does explain the basic "how to solve a Mosaic Puzzle" the features themselves are not explained, such as the Wand and the Magic Mirror functions As you fill-in various cells, you'll uncover Flower icons, Crowns, and F's (for Fables?) which refills the Hint, Wand, and Magic Mirror features. It appeared that the flowers refilled the Wand but what does a flower have to do with a wand and what does the wand actually do? What does the F icon do, does it refill the Magic Mirror, does the crown refill the hints? Why wouldn't you have Wands to refill the Wand feature, Mirrors to refill the Magic Mirror, and a Question Mark or a Wolf to refill the Hint feature? What do these features do? I am told that I'll lose a Star if I use a Hint but not if I use the Wand or Mirror but it should tell me what those features do as well? You can earn up to 3-Stars per level and the tutorial does tell me that stars are deducted for making mistakes but If that's the case, why are there 3 available stars per perfect level, but it shows 6 slots for mistakes? Do you earn a -3 Stars if you make 6 mistakes on a level?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not The Usual Fun I was hoping for more, it just didn't deliver. This mosaic game fell quite short, for me, of being entertaining in the way I am accustomed. I gave it 3 stars only because it ran smoothly on my PC and provided a brief amount of "new to view" mosaics to play, I always like trying the free demos. The images were very basic, extreme lack of detail. There were very minimal options, so there was no way to spice things up. The tiles were flat and colors, to me, were just average, no interesting shapes to choose as in other mosaic games. I didn't much care for the music and the clinking sound which accompanied the placement of the tiles was annoying. The pictures were labeled. The numbers displayed alongside and above the grid were easy to see and were crossed off with a black line which was a good feature. I usually struggle seeing them clearly in other mosaic games because the colored numbers are too blended with background, often causing unnecessary errors, at least for me. I didn't find the challenge to be frustrating, there were normal mode and hard mode. The grid backgrounds were in good contrast with the colored tiles, so not so hard on the eyes. I honestly didn't play the demo long enough to check out how hints and mistakes are used, though my time in each mode required no hints and no errors were made. It was a fairytale story that appealed to me, it could have become more interesting or entertaining further into the game. However, I was not inspired enough to continue. I recommend this nonogram since it may appeal to others who are just looking for a simple mosaic game to pass some time, it would be great for beginners. But I am so "spoiled" I guess by the games that have all the special stuff and great options, that I would become bored to death with this one in no time at all. So this is a no-buy for me. Keep faith...be safe everyone

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Starts out ok but deteriorates in enjoyment I liked it in the demo so bought it. There are 9 chapters with 11 rounds each. After about the second round they start repeating puzzles - not exactly but almost. It also seems they were getting more and more simple. By about the forth round it seems they just lost interest, and by the sixth round I did too. I kept hoping but I gave up. I'll possibly finish it on a rainy day but if there's something else to do I probably won't.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too easy This game had too many puzzles that were very similar. It felt like Deja Vu while I was playing. There were a few puzzles that had the deadly sin of two answers possible so you had to use the hint feature to avoid a mistake. Thank goodness they tell you what the final picture is because they were difficult to see what the answer was suppose to depict. This particular game would be 'okay' for the beginner or younger player but for the player with any experience you will find these puzzles boring.
