Customer Reviews
Shopping Clutter 7: Food Detectives is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from What Are The Walkers Up To This Time? I always enjoy the demos to get a little free time with these clutter games. The Walker family is cute and they are always into something new. Though I'm not a huge fan of clutter games, I do own enough to know this series is one of the best. Number 7 does bring much change from the previous games but it still delivers very good colorful graphics, enough clutter to drive you bonkers, and a little side story for added interest. Each scene is very full and busy and I love the challenge of trying to match as many items as possible. The conveyor belt is a fun feature and reminds me that my speed skills need to improve a little. The Walker games offer plenty to do and I've never experienced any tech problems in the 4 that I own. Shopping Clutter offers a very busy good time for sure, but my attention span doesn't hold steady throughout an entire game. My mind eventually grows weary after sifting through so many piles of clutter. I had fun with the demo, but feel no need to buy since the game doesn't really bring anything new to the table, other than a new adventure for the Walkers. Great game for all ages, fun challenge for the different skill levels. I can see kids and their parents enjoying together. It's a good one to have, I think, like solitaire....on hand for when you want a little break from your more involved games.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WHY SUCH BAD REVIEWS? I don't understand why this game is getting such bad reviews. Maybe because of the food topic? Lots of people have strong feelings about food. As for the game itself. it is no better and no worse than the previous game(s) in this series. The types of play are the same, the stars are the same (no bigger and no more frequent than previous games), etc. etc.. Don't like all the different kinds of doughnuts? What about all the variations in teddy bears in previous games? I own and have played every game in this series and I will be purchasing and playing this one as well. I did play the demo for this one, unlike I usually do, because I wondered what was different about it that would create the bad reviews. IMHO, there is nothing about this game, compared to previous games, that deserves a bad rap. So here is my attempt to balance the bad with some good. If you like this series, you will like this particular game. The colors are bright and I even think the play is a little harder, which is fine with me. I highly recommend this game, but as usual, try before you buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from sadly,, just meh man i love clutter games, but, got to the 2nd stage, every level is the same items just with different ways to look, pizza, donuts, drinks.. this is the 1st clutter type game i will not be buying, maybe as a game club credit , not even sure then.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from THERE'S A FOOD BURGLAR AFOOT Shopping Clutter is an okay Clutter type HO game, but the clutter just isn't that appealing to me personally. There isn't a lot of clutter variety, it's just a variety of the same type of clutter, 25 different donut decorations, 10 different pizza toppings, a whole slew of raw meats and sausages, which are kind of disgusting, whole mushrooms, sliced mushrooms, mushrooms cut diagonally, mushrooms cut horizontally, none of which are colorful or remotely appealing, jars of jellies and jams, cakes and some unidentifiable fruit blobs. They are all just large objects that are always the same, they are the same objects from scene to scene and from game to game. There are a ton of levels with Pastel Silhouetted Shape varieties, (basically, look like a kindergarten art project) which are the most mundane levels I've ever seen, I think I'd rather have a scene made up entirely of those multiple sliced mushrooms that are clearly leftover from the multiple veggie-topped pizzas, some of which I'm fairly certain had small golf ball toppings. After completing the first group of levels. I just become bored from seeing the same thing and doing the same thing over and over, a feeling I never get when playing the original Clutter game or even the Hiddenverse games. There are two modes of difficulty, Easy Mode which has no time restraints, and a Difficult, Limited-time Mode that gives you extra points for removing objects fast. There are 140 Clutter-type levels that can be replayed if you want to earn a better score. After playing 7 Clutter levels, you can play a Jigsaw Puzzle variation such as Square Tile Swaps (adjacent, diagonal, etc.) or Sliders (20 Total Puzzles) Clutter Variations: ?Matching Pairs ?Triplets ?Related Items ?Themed Items ?Transparent Items ?Same Size ?Different Size ?Same Colors ?Different Colors ?Pastel Shapes ?De-Clutter (move items from piles & match) ?Buried Items in unmovable piles Some levels have objects that can be moved out of the way, some levels don't allow you to move any objects. Some levels add unpaired objects every time you remove pairs, and some levels require finding the correct half of items that are cut in half. Each scene has a ton of GIANT Sun Emblems scattered among the junkpiles to recharge the Hint Meter, seriously, what's the ratio of the number of objects required to find versus how many Sun Hints there actually are? The only reason I click on them is that their presence annoys me and they are in the way, they need to be smaller, much smaller! Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too many mushrooms ... ... and doughnuts, and pizzas. Too many of the same type items makes this game too boring to purchase. And that's from a woman who usually enjoys clutter games. This one is too boring.
