Big Adventure: Trip to Europe 2 Collector's Edition is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving the Travel I'm about halfway through the CE of this Big Adventure: Trip to Europe and am enjoying it very much. Nice, not intrusive background music, not-so-easy HO scenes, and just enough information from the 'family' to make the locales interesting but not enough to overload with details. Fun scenery, logical items to find in the scenes for the most part, and learning something along the way. Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Hidden Object I tried the demo all the way through. I had no problems except for when it came to the pool ball game. I could not figure out how which line I needed to take. The demo ended and bought the game. I am not sorry I did. Lots of things to find 1 Raccoon 1 Stamp and ! puzzle piece and some silhouettes to find. Try it for yourself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can It Be True? A 5 Star HOG? Yes! I really enjoyed this game. Usually I become bored early on because everything is too easy to find or frustrated because they are impossible to spot in very dark areas. Here I am enjoying a good challenge and actually found the entire demo lots of fun. Didn't find anything negative in content nor were there any bothersome glitches. The graphics were absolutely tops with beautiful, brilliant color that made the game even more to my liking. Real people are sight-seeing in the beautiful locales. 17 countries and 28 cities provide a European adventure for the entire family. We learn some interesting facts about each one, which is a good educational feature for us all. The hidden objects are not so easy to spot, providing a nice challenge that kept me checking every nook and cranny and reluctantly hitting the hint button a little too often. Normally I would tough it out, but I wanted to see as much game as possible in the demo. There's written dialogue but not the usual unnecessary drivel. It provides the trivia about each location but can be skipped if you wish. I love learning about places I will never get to visit so the trivia was a plus for me. Find Mr. Racoon in each location to earn the top reward and earn a super bonus by finding the silhouette items. There are also postage stamps and puzzle pieces to collect which are kind of easy to spot, the silhouette items are a little more difficult. Zoom zones might contain a collectible, the zones are represented by sparkly areas and several may appear in each scene. Items in pink print on the list are hidden inside or behind others. Items in blue print require a task to remove them from the list. I really enjoy the interactivity. Upon completion of each level an achievements board comes up. You have the opportunity to replay as often as you like to better your score. The objects are very well hidden in this game. Sometimes I was wishing for x-ray vision but resorted to the Super Hint which exposes several of the items at once. I felt awful about cheating, so getting to replay was redeeming! Haven't covered it all but hopefully my input will give you a good idea of what to expect from this hidden object game. I think it's deserving of 5 stars but I'm not sure about purchasing the CE. It does contain 8 bonus levels which may make it worthwhile for some. Usually the SE version is sufficient for me with this type of HOG. However, today's sale will likely persuade me to just go for it. Give the demo a try!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The other reviews do not lie The previous reviews were correct, you MUST finish and find EVERY item and extra items before you will be allowed into the C.E. chapters. The games seemed new to me and did not have any explanation of rules or clues. If you miss one racoon, or one puzzle piece, or do not finish one game and skip it - YOU WILL NOT get into the special chapters. I should have listened to them. :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A hidden object game that focuses on hidden objects! This review is based on playing the entire game: The Good - I found the music very enjoyable and varied. The puzzles are not too difficult, as the game is really about the hidden object scenes. This game play is similar to Park Range and Christmas Wonderland- you have certain objects to collect, contour objects to find as well as items from the list. Some items are hidden in other items, there are sparkle scenes and tasks to perform. The Bad - you cannot access the bonus scenes in the Collector's Edition unless you collect every single object and solve all of the puzzles. What?? I paid for the collector's edition, I should be able to play the extra scenes once I complete the main game. I actually had to cheat a little - I couldn't seem to complete the Sudoku puzzle, so I had to Skip and take a picture of the solution. Seriously - just so I could have access to the bonus scenes. Fix that, please. The Ugly - well, it's not that bad, but the graphics kind of hark back to the 90's. But this seems to be the trademark for these adventure/travel games. There are no drawn scenes; everything is from photos, cut and pasted into the scene. It's a little off-putting at first, but I found I got used to it quickly, and it didn't interfere with my enjoyment of the game overall. My take - this is an enjoyable game worth playing. But I wouldn't have purchased it full Collector's Edition price. I bought it on a 50% off sale and it was well worth that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's just not right.. I paid for the game and should have full access. Well I have been playing games on Big Fish for a looooooong time and this is the first time I could not get into the CE levels because I didn't do all of the games. I bought the CE for the extra levels and should be given a refund since I am only allowed to play it as an SE. Shame shame on somebody.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Game This game is OK there is nothing extra special about this game, to me it shouldn't be a CE. I have purchased other games like this with around same amount of locations to explore (some maybe more) and they but they are only SE.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from NICE HOG BUT THE COLLECTIBLES NEED TO BE MORE CHALLENGING This is a fun Hidden Object Game that is very similar to my beloved Vacation Adventure series. Truthfully, the game features are basically identical, it just has a different family and they travel throughout Europe visiting 17 Countries and 28 Cities while telling us some interesting fun facts about the places they visit. Really my only complaint is that there are numerous Collectibles that are impossible to miss because of their large size or how and where they are placed. This is what I refer to as Clickables versus Collectibles because collectibles are supposed to be an added challenge to find, (above and beyond the listed items) but these clickables are hard to miss! There is a Raccoon, Jigsaw Puzzle Piece, a Postage Stamp, and 3 Silhouetted Shape items to find in every scene but they made no attempt to blend these items into the scenery so they are just another object to find and may as well be on the list. I get that the Raccoon is the company's mascot but he is out of place in every scene as he desperately tries to mingle with humans so he sticks out like a sore thumb. This could easily be solved by substituting him for the Company Logo which is also a raccoon but the logo could be made opaque and easily blended into the scenery (this is great PR as well and would eventually make the company logo easily recognized by tons of people) You can only play in a Relaxed Mode, there are no Timed options to search for 12 Listed Items, as you progress there are also Descriptive Item Finds and scenes where you have to drag items from the Inventory Bar to the correct location in the scene where they belong logically. Items in "pink" text are hidden in or behind other objects, while items listed in blue are objects that require a task such as lighting a torch by finding the objects that require the interaction. There are a couple of Zoom Zones in each scene that will appear and disappear as the objects shown on the list are found or added. There are 3 Silhouetted Shape items, shown one at a time, and each scene has the company's Raccoon mascot to find for bonus points. Speaking of Points...what's the Point? There's nothing to buy so why do I need them? Each item has a Postage Stamp to add to a Collection Album and a Jigsaw Puzzle Piece that allows you to assemble a 30 piece Jigsaw Puzzle once all pieces have been found. You will earn a Red Star for completing the Hidden Object location, a Blue Star for finding all of the Silhouettes, and a Yellow Star for finding all of the Postage Stamps and Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces. There are 30 Scene locations that can be replayed but the objects to find remain the same each time which doesn't give it a good replay value. The Hint Feature will show you a single random object while the Super Hint briefly shows you all remaining available items. After each Hidden Object Scene, you will play a mini-game such as Swapping sections of a picture, dragging a white pool ball along tracks so that it touches all the pool balls without backtracking, or swapping puzzle strips, and then sliding them right or left to recreate an image. This Collector's Edition version has 8 Extra Hidden Object SceneLocations, 8 Extra Mini-games, 8 Extra Postage Stamps, 12 Wallpapers, and 20 Music Soundtracks.
