Just gets better and better apart from the" piece of cake"As soon as I saw this I did not bother with the demo I just bought it straight away although as a rule I recommend people to always demo first as although this is great for me it may not be for someone else as I am always saying we all have different tastes. This developer always comes up with new things, this time we have mechanisms and other differences along the way. The only down thing for me is the constant saying " Piece OF Cake" it just gets annoying after a while lol but I can put up with it.

KEEP AWAY FROM LIGHT, NEVER GET THEM WET AND NEVER FEED THEM AFTER MIDNIGHTElven Legends is, and probably always will be on my top personal favorite Time Management Games list. It has one of the few storylines I actually read and enjoy (on TM games) I've followed a young Princess Aerin as she discovered her magical abilities and grew up to lead her Kingdom's people. She met and married Tillian and eventually, they became proud parents to Princess Sonja who is now a somewhat rebellious teenager. I was a little upset that this wonderful story took a hard right and practically erased Queen Aerin from the plot, so I am delighted that she has returned to try to tighten the reigns on her mischevious daughter.
Most Collector's Edition versions of TM games aren't worth the extra price tag, but I ? LOVE ? all the collectibles this one has to offer and for me, the collectibles make the CE $ well worth the price! There are 60 Gears and 60 Puzzle Runes to collect and my personal favorite, 60 Now-You-See Them, Now-You-Don't Morphing Gremlins! What's even better is that you can replay any level to just search for the collectibles without messing up your star-rating (you can finish the level and then re-enter the level to just click on the collectibles w/o actually re-playing the level, and then exit to the map, the stars you earned the 1st time will stay the same) I just wish there was an indicator on the map to show which collectibles have been found, or not found.
Elven Legend games are strategy-based Time Management games requiring you to queue your tasks in a specific order. You can play in a Relaxed mode with no timer, a Normal, or a Professional Mode of difficulty, and you can replay the levels as often as necessary. There are 38 Achievements to earn across 50 Levels +10 in the CE Bonus Chapter (Elven Capital-Gremlin Dimension-World of Forest-Elven Kingdom-Star World & CE Land) Bonus Icons become available that help you beat the levels, such as Worker's Speed, Add Workers, Double the Production of Resources, Speed up Work Production or even Increase the number of Existing Resources.
There are the normal TM tasks of collecting food, water, wood, stone crystals, etc. and the same tasks of clearing the roads by repairing bridges and filling in pits along the way. Princess Sonja has the ability to animate non-living objects and her best friend Napej the faun is her mischevious sidekick. On each level, the girls meet various new allies to help them overcome the level obstacles, like Griffins and Goblins.
There are several Altars of Resources that continually produce resources of food, lumber, crystals, and water, over a period of time. Magical Trees produce wood, but they will first require Water before they will regrow and produce lumber, Waterwells can be constructed on most levels or reproduced on altars, and some levels have Water towers that produce a limited amount of water You will need to construct different buildings as well as upgrade them to produce various resources such as Farms to produce food, Workers House's to hire extra workers, Sawmills for wood, Mines to produce magic Crystals, Labs to produce Philosopher's Stones as a source of Princess Sonja's magic.
Collector's Edition Extra's:
8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art Pictures, 38 Achievements, Top 10 Scores, 60 Puzzle Rune Stones (10 purple, 10 yellow, 10 blue, 10 orange, 10 green, 10 pink) 60 Gears, 60 Morphing Gremlins, 5 Chapters with 50 Levels, Bonus Chapter with 10 Extra Levels, and a Built-in Strategy Guide.

Perfectly delightful! What a great game! The music is lovely and poignant, the worlds are distinctive and interesting each in their own way, the young heroes are comical yet brave, and the enemy? Probably just misled! I've been excitedly waiting for this since the beta; I knew it would be so much fun! And I am so happy the enchanting mixed-up English remains.

Elven Legend returns!!I love this series. I don't really have to go into much detail of the game play, you collect resources to build a bridge, or whatever is needed. I also like being able to change the game mode to relaxed, so it makes it fun to play without having a time limit. I have all the other ones in the series too and love them all. I bought this one without too right away. I recommend this game.

It has everything a TM should. Its fun, its clever, but maybe a bit boring at No.8?No.8 has everything you expect in a CE TM. There are extra levels, a very good strategy guide both verbal and numbered, three collectables to find on every level (stones, gears and gremlins all marked on the guide), wallpapers and concept art, and three modes of play..relaxed, normal and professional (lol)
I must admit this game is smooth to play and I did get a chuckle out of some of the new features, (an insane fountain that spurts the path and blocks you till you deactivate it), Enchanted mechanisms. The traders are back too..very cute.
There are several worlds you move through each ten levels and tasks vary, but I am just perhaps are becoming a little jaded with the series? Not because it gather and build (that's what TM's are!)..but I found by the time I entered the second world it was all too easy on normal mode, so I am going back to become a professional to see if that gets the adrenilin going.
All in all, there is NOTHING wrong with this game, it is a very well developed offering. It's got everything you can add to a CE TM, but try the demo, and if you have played all the others see how you feel after so many? I am actually recommending it as a CE, because most of the main fun I am having is the collectables! I think this game will please in either format SE or CE, I just cant stretch to 'love it'..I DO like it a LOT! Enjoy!

Solid Resource Management GameA comfort to find many of the elements from past installments are still here: Sonja and her faun boyfriend, those awesome elven workers. Still love those mysterious buildings and tasks that sometimes have you scratching your head. Basic tm strategies: fetch, build, concoct, enchant. Three modes: relaxed, normal and professional.
When playing "professional" mode, I can count and therefore question the green queuing circles on the objects and the red amount I'm lacking because they mess with the graphics of the scene and these are hints you should be able to opt out of in expert mode. Maybe for normal/easy modes? Three little objects to find in each level and they're better drawn than previously. Graphics to me are OK, not fabulous, but with abundant details and animations, something I prize in a tm, along with a good challenge.
