Patchwork: Explore the World is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I preferred the CE My opinion is different to others but do agree that the first two Countries are way too easy. I have the CE and this does become very challenging (For me anyway) Germany onwards. It is such a shame that they did not make it more challenging in the beginning and if they bring out another game it needs to be more of a challenge earlier on and not much later in the game. I really am enjoying this game and the scenes are beautiful and the extra levels in the CE are what has made me glad I bought the CE so if you were to decide you wanted to buy do not go for this one but the CE when they have a sale on. Another thing to remember we are all different so even though I love it some will just not find it challenging enough.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from BEAUTIFUL PUZZLES BUT FAR TOO EASY TO ASSEMBLE Review based on completion of India & Australia only First of all, let's give credit to New Bridge, they have created a gorgeous game and I just wanted to make sure that everyone understood that Patchwork: Explore the World is a different game than Patchworkz, Alice's Patchworks, and Frozen Patchworks (those were developed by 2 different developers) The puzzles couldn't be more beautiful, or more colorful as they span the globe with images from India, Australia, Brazil, Germany, Turkey, and Canada. (USA, Mexico, and Japan in the CE version's Bonus Chapter) There are 25 puzzles for each country with fragmented pieces of different materials, such as Wood, Paper, and Metal. Unlike the above-mentioned series, this game has no Timer so it's designed to be a relaxing, Zen kind of puzzle. The problem is, the difficulty doesn't progress fast enough, if at all, and I breezed through the first 2 levels (50 puzzles) before the demo stopped and I still had time left on the demo! I'm okay with Zen, but the pieces were huge and all I had to do was look at the color patterns to get a general idea of their placement. It didn't matter which random piece I chose, it was easily placed and eventually, I became bored because of the lack of challenge! You will earn one Star for completing the puzzle, one Star for completing the puzzle with No Mistakes, and the third Star for completing the puzzle without using Hints. One feature they did right, was to add a Magnifying Glass feature that allows you to view your completed puzzles at any time! If you don't mind that these puzzles can be solved in less than a minute, I do recommend this game because the images are so incredibly beautiful, but for me personally, I need a little more challenge to prevent boredom....but then again, I am a puzzle geek who plays computer jigsaw games every day. The CE Version has 5 Achievements, 10 Wallpapers, 6 Music Soundtracks, and a Bonus Chapter with 25 puzzles each in the USA, Mexico, and Japan. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh In a nutshell, the game is too easy. I understand that it is meant to be a nice, relaxing game, but there's a difference between relaxing, and plain old boring. The pieces are huge, and you can tell where they go almost immediately by simply looking at the color. If this kind of game is new to you, you might find it enjoyable as the pictures are interesting and quite lovely...just would have liked a bit of challenge.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Devs, Please Challenge Us! I love this puzzle style and still play the old Patchworkz. I enjoy the different textures, the sounds when pieces are placed and unique pictures. Patchwork is off to a good start with the beautiful pictures and lots of levels. However, the element of challenge is what makes it fun, for me. I need that sense of accomplishment to make it worthwhile. A variety of difficulties that any skill level can enjoy, so no one is left out of the fun, would be a fun addition. With no timer and the too-easy assembly, this game will be a "flash in the pan". 150 levels won't be enough to make it a good deal. In the demo I completed 52 puzzles and still had a little time remaining. The pieces are quite large and the colors are the big "hint" factor, so assembly was about a minute per puzzle. I shouldn't have to slow down to a snail's pace to prolong the game. The images were still lovely and I liked the countries that were featured, so it wasn't a total loss. There are 9 countries, each represented by 25 pictures, and they are so colorful and beautiful. I assemble at least 2 computer pics every single day that I create from wallpapers and my own photos. I'm always searching for ready-made puzzles that I can just jump into and enjoy without the extra work. It would be great to add Patchwork to my puzzle obsession. As it is I have to pass, for no other reason than just too easy. I hope future games from this dev will bring us challenge, the biggie for me, and the timer with a choice of "use it or not". It's easy to become bored and end up not finishing the game. It is truly a wonderful set of puzzles and I'm sure you'll find it delightful. If you only want something to take your mind to a less hectic place, this will be just right. The kids can join in, too!
