Rated 5 out of 5 by from ~~~ENTER THE PRESTIGIOUS FANTASY REALM IN QUEENS QUEST IV~~~ This is Brave Giant's fourth installment in the Queens Quest Saga and developers have created a spellbinding adventure with a unique story twist. I've played a lot of different characters in a lot of different games. I have been thrown into the role of just about every kind of Detective imaginable and Scientist, Hero/Heroin, and the list goes on. Now playing the role of Peacekeeper in Sacred Truce you must embark on a journey once again into the five realms. Your quest begins by travelling to Saddletown to find the magical "Sacred Truce". War has erupted between the Elves and Humans when you learn that the Elven King has been attacked and possibly killed...and the hostile Elves believe a Human is responsible. The Druid of the five realms created the Sacred Truce to ensure peace among the Elves, Goblins, Dwarves, and Humans but now the Sacred Truce is missing and it's up to you to locate it. After you arrive in Saddletown you soon discover that the Elves have issued a $5000.00 reward for anyone who can capture Rosa Mozak "the betrayer" dead or alive. Is it possible that Rosa is the betrayer who stole the Sacred Truce or is there more information to this accusation? You'll soon find out as your investigative journey takes you deeper into the magical five realms! Queens Quest IV is a casual adventure game that takes place in the most prestigious of fantasy realms. Your time in Sacred Truce will be split between exploration centric adventure scenes and some nice hidden object diversions. You’ll get a surprising amount of freedom to roam back and forth, searching for items that can be used to open doors or remove other obstacles standing in your way. Many of these items are interactive, meaning you’ll need to click and tinker with them to find out their true nature, occasionally even using other inventory items on them. Hidden object scenes come at a fast pace, which isn’t such a bad thing since they’re quite entertaining to solve. Most of them stick to the standard text list format with one or two interactive items marked in a darker color. Just search, click and collect, you know the drill! Mini-games manage to be equal to the hidden object scenes with a glorious array of variety. Sacred Truce doesn’t take a lot of newly innovative chances with its design or gameplay content. It wins major points with me for its interesting story, like the previous editions. The puzzles and mini-games reach out and grab you from the start, saving an otherwise ordinary hidden object game from the dustbin. Other reviewers include CE bling so no need to revisit that. I do have to give this the 5 star rating because Brave Giant held their own with the continuation of this wonderful series. I generally do not like to review an entire game based solely on demo, I played this jewel in it's entirety. I love the series and look forward to more releases. Cheers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well crafted fantasy game I am surprised at the negative reviews. I found the HOPS challenging. Yes - the minigames could be easy. I thought the story was great and the characters well fleshed out. I consider this an 'adult' game with high fantasy elements. I also like dark and mysterious games. I always go for story - if you like a good story with believable characters then this game is for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epic adventure! I really like fantasy games with all the fantasy races and characters! This one is just right for my taste. Graphics are well done, story is intriguing , voices are good, could be better. I can play this one with my children!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game Really great graphics and story line is different. Nice option to switch out of HOP to a match 2 game if you get stuck

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh, boy, this is awesome! Judging by the demo, this is truly awesome game. Visuals are overall crisp and beautiful. Audio is epic, HO's and Mini games are great mix of easy and hard. There could be a few more voices to complete the experience. Story is truly tempting and well played, especially at the end of the demo when the Peacekeeper must.... But, I wont spoil the surprise it for the other players. It's nice to play a game were the PC is not some renegade person destined to shoot bullets on others in order to solve a mystery. Here you are a Peacekeeper - the member of an elite group sworn to protect peace and all the races inf the Five Realms. And you don't need to punch anyone in some sequence or nothing like that. Overall, this is a game I will definitely play several time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good rainy day game I first demo'd the game and found the storyline engaging enough for me to purchase on sale. It is beautifully drawn, there are a variety of activities to do, including several fun flights. The HOs have multiple morphing items and have actual hidden objects. I haven't completed the game; I'm in the second chapter and that took about 3 casual hours so I expect another 3 hrs out of it. It's not a cookie cutter game like so many right now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from PEACE IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN A POINTLESS VICTORY War raged for an eternity throughout the 5 Realms between the Elves, Goblins, Dwarves, Halflings, and Humans until a Druid appeared to introduce a Peacekeeping Guild. The Sacred Truce was signed and honored by all 5 realms, until now. The Elf King has been attacked and the elves are blaming Humans. As Peacekeeper, you have an almost impossible task at hand, find the responsible party, bring them to justice, and reunite the 5 Realms once more. There's just one small problem, the Elves are evoking their own form of vigilante justice upon the Humans of Saddletown! I would probably have given this game 5 stars if it wasn't for the "Spells" and the repetitive game that goes along with creating the spell. I've never been a fan of the recipe type games unless you actually have to figure out what goes where and when (vs following a pictured diagram) There are a total of 5 Spells you'll make potions for before using them. (Shield Spell, Sleep Spell, Frost Spell, Unveil Spell and Transformation Spell) most of which are introduced in the first chapter. The Hidden Object Scenes are decent and located in fairly interesting locations. The objects are easily identified and one object within each scene Morphs (you must click on the morph when it's in the correct form) There are Interactive List Finds, Multiple Item Finds, and Fragmented Picture Finds. You can opt to play a Monaco Card Game where you match cards with identical symbols that are adjacent. The Mini-Games are just okay puzzles, in my opinion, there's nothing really exciting or new offered. I've never been a fan of Recipe-based puzzles, and the Rune-Spell collection & recipe feature is pointless (you simply can't make a mistake and it doesn't require any skill to complete) There are a total of 31 puzzles throughout the game, and most are re-playable after completing the game (CE feature) Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1-Spell Kit: click all runes & add the correct potion shown. 2-Click to throw grappling-hook when the target turns green. 3-Choose the correct spots shown as swatches. 4-Follow a pictorial recipe to make a healing potion. 5-Shield-Spell: Drag a line through elements on a Match 3 game. 6-Find and replace 3 items per page during a story. 7-Sleep-Spell: Stop the targets when they are in the center. 8-Find & place elements into the scene correctly. This Collector's Edition version has 8 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 25 Mini-Games, 17 Hidden Object Scenes (Chapters 1-4) 6 Mini-Games and 6 Hidden Object Scenes within the Bonus Chapter, 24 Achievements to earn, 15 Collectible Dragon Eggs, 20 Collectible Coins (4 Wheat Coins, 4 Bow & Arrow Coins, 4 Diamond Coins, 4 Gear Coins, & 4 Fish Coins) 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy! Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nothing new. Slow-moving plot. Easy gameplay. The second episode in this series, Stories of Forgotten Past, was the only one to show innovative gameplay and an engaging storyline. In this episode, the plot…well…plodded, bogged down by the standard laundry list of tasks. The HO scenes weren't bad. Mini-games are few and far between…and too easy. Exploration involved mostly playing Mr. Fix-it with broken everything. The production is quite beautiful, except for blurry cutscene animation, but I couldn't become engaged in this one. I recommend you play the second episode instead.
