Argonauts Agency: Golden Fleece Collector's Edition is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely fun relaxing game I am so glad I tried this game after reading some discouraging reviews. Just proves you need to see for yourself. I enjoyed the demo very much. The graphics are adorable! The music and sound effects are relaxing. The animation is so cute and entertaining. It is definitely along the lines of the Hercules series but that familiarity is fine with me. I am glad to see a TM game that is not so busy with tasks that 3 stars are unattainable for me. I play for fun and relaxation. I love how fast tasks and resources are completed and available. No waiting and characters rush around in a very satisfying way. The CE factor is stretching it but I will probably go for a buy anyway. So glad to see more TM games!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another TM game YAY! I am really enjoying this game. The characters and storyline are a definite plus. It gets more challenging by the 10-11th episode. Already had to replay a couple in normal mode. There is some strategy ( and I am hoping for more of that as the game proceeds). However the only thing, to me, that would qualify this me as a "collector" is additional episodes. Probably will wait till I have 2 game credits. They add up so fast and lately it seems I have so many unplayed games that need completed. But this is a definite buy for me. Enjoy TM'ers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Join the Argonauts Agency I love this game, it's something like the Hercules games. I don't need to go into great detail of the game play, you collect resources, build farms, sawmills etc. The charcaters are cute too. I like being able to select the mode such as untimed etc. I enjoy the untimed, I can play the game without having to worry about the timer. I want to be able to relax when playing any game. Anyone who likes the Hercules games will like this one. It was a purchase for me without completing the demo version. I recommend this game!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVED this game! For me, the pace of this game on normal mode was perfect and there was just the right amount of strategy required. Decades ago I was really fast on TMGs, but aging has slowed that down. I applaud the developer for providing three different timer modes to suit most all players. I don't like a game to be too easy and was happy that I had to replay several levels at least twice to get three stars. The story was much of the same as the rest, but I don't rate for that. Why I am dropping one star is because if the company wants to call a game a "Collector's Edition" and charge extra then at the very least it should have a strategy guide. Extra bonus levels would also be a plus. Anyway, had a lot of fun playing this one and it never got tedious. Look forward to more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good one I liked it but I will not buy because there are no additional levels & when I could use 2 Coupon codes for 1 CE maybe would, but unfortunately BF doesnt accept that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice typical TM Game I wanted to give this game 5 stars but I couldn't due to the repetitive nature of the levels This is a standard "upgrade' building collect resources TM game. I say upgrade because the resource buildings (food, gold, stone and wood) are already done. There are berry bushes to pick and other goodies along the road to add to your booty. The graphics are very pleasant and probably what saves the game. Most levels require you to defeat various villians along the way to proceed such as minatours or ghosts, but even when a new 'villian' is introduced the gameplay is the same. There are bridges that require you to reach a switch lever to make them complete. Those who have played 'Hercules series' will know them, and similiarly there are times when you must free a goddess or character in order to defeat the villians also. There are three levels of challenge, untimed, normal, and hard. I found playing on normal that the challenge was not very hard to get gold and the trophies rather hand fed to me. Still after the first ten levels, I was 'just' making it on normal, but without much stress or strategy required. I have not had to repeat. I do recommend this game just because it is very smooth to play, and you can click ahead (even in front of some other obstacles) and also many things at a time when they are grouped. The bonuses (speed, +1, work fast etc) leave you with that great TM feeling of watching characters speed around your screen at a superfast rate. I am smiling playing it, just because I simply love this genre. I didn't want to wait weeks to play it as an SE, and so I doled out the money for the CE. At the end of the day though, unless you are really into art or music as extras, I think this really is an SE with 10 extra levels (60) I could not find a strategy guide which is unusual but I had a pretty good search. So a nice game, but not outstanding and probably better value as an SE unless you are like me and 'just have to have it now!'

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Run, run, as fast as you can. Based on the demo only, this game is good for those days when you want to get your adrenaline going without thinking too much. Lots of fast clicking is needed. It's not worth the CE price, but maybe if the price drops it could be a bit of fun.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from AN AVERAGE TIME MANAGEMENT GAME THAT'S REPETITIVE AND NOT WORTHY OF A COLLECTOR'S EDITION PRICE I played the entire demo which gave me enough time to decide that there's nothing here worth the price. I feel bad for saying this because I love the fact that BF is finally realizing that they have a ton of Time Management fans who have been overlooked for years now. However, It wasn't until the 8th Level that a different goal was actually added, for the previous 7 levels the goals were all the same. The graphics are "old-school" and had no curb appeal, everything's just a dull shade of gold. There's nothing special about this game and certainly, nothing offered to qualify it for twice as much money as a CE, there's not even a Strategy Guide! You can play in an Untimed, Normal or Hard difficulty mode and it allows you to switch back and forth easily before the start of each level with an icon located above the levels. I do like this feature because sometimes it's helpful to play the first go-round in an untimed mode to figure out what the requirements are, such as what materials are needed for each task (bridges, boulders etc) and then play the level again in a normal or hard mode, especially when a TM game requires a lot of strategies, but this one doesn't require a whole lot of strategy to earn 3 stars. As I stated earlier, the first 7 levels had the same exact Goals of clearing paths, repairing bridges and collecting Papyrus. The only thing that changed for 7 levels was the path directions and the number of items blocking the path, and I was becoming totally bored by the time the demo ended, so much so that I don't think I will purchase this game even when it's released as a Standard Edition. There's really nothing different here than any other TM game. Build Farms for food, Sawmills for wood, Gold Mines, Quarries for stone and Markets for trading food for specific materials such as Stone or Gold. There are the usual Berry Bushes for a renewable food source, as well as the usual path blockers of wood, boulders, puddles, holes, and bread that somehow gets left strategically on a blocked path just when you need it the most, not to mention random caches of gold coins. There are also random Minotaurs which at least gets Jason to move from his usual cozy spot, and Levers to toggle bridges and open other areas. The only features offered in this Collector's Edition version, are 10 pages of Concept Art pictures and 5 Music Soundtracks. There are 29 Achievements to earn, but the trophies are usually still included within the Standard Edition version. There isn't even a Strategy Guide offered, it's just not a CE worthy game, there aren't any Morphs, Puzzle Pieces or Collectibles offered to offset the price difference.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ho Hum Not wonderful. This little game has cute graphics. I found the music and sound irritating so turned the music off and the sound way down. There have been several other time management games out lately that are much better and more interesting. AND the extra content that you pay the double price for a CE game only gets you more music and art. No additional chapters of game play. Not worth it to me. Maybe if it gets down to a daily deal I might get it just to see if it improves as it moves along.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I wasn't impressed....nothing new here I only played through 6 levels and then deleted the game. It's the same ole, same ole and nothing new, no challenge and the "brrring" sound it made every time a new food, wood, gold or whatever landed on it's base was SOOO irritating that I turned my sound down. Every time I turned around there was a brrring, brrring.........nope, didn't like that. The graphics were okay but nothing to write home about. Sort of cartoonish. I just didn't like that it showed nothing new and just the same ole repetitive actions....pick up food, pick up wood, upgrade building......nothing that other games don't have.
