Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Hercules series - this one's got challenge even for experts! I've played all the Hercules series and this one does not disappoint. Loved everything. Several levels are very challenging to beat the Developers Record even for expert players! Next one please!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Hercules – young Hercules I’ve been waiting for the continuation of Hercules’ adventures, but instead of continuation I got the story of the characters’ past. And that’s even better! It was interesting to find out how Hercules and Megara met, how our hero became a hero as well as what was his very first labor (saving cats is a great idea). So, I’m not disappointed at all. The game is great! At the beginning it’s quite easy to play but every next level becomes harder and more interesting. You have to move and think fast to earn three stars in Expert mode as well as beat the developer’s records. Sometimes I want to have a rest and then I change the mode for Normal. It’s possible to do during the playing, and you don’t have to replay all the levels in new mode. I like new features (hidden places) and enemies (mummies), funny puzzles imitating paintings of famous artists, the Pyramid keeping different secrets, and of course the cats. Music is nice and not annoying, colors are bright, and story is humorous and exciting. I recommend this game to everybody: both kids and adults!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thumbs up for slower players! I'm about 2/3 of the way through the game and, as an older player who hates frenzied click-fests, I'm very pleased with it. I'm playing in the middle mode which is still timed but more relaxed and have made gold in all but 2 levels. The game has just the right level of challenge for me, having to do about 60% of the levels over while rethinking my strategy. I recommend the game but I'm not sure I'd spend the extra money for the CE. I'm playing it on another site that doesn't charge extra for those.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game I love all the games in this series. I don't usually buy collectors, but had a coupon in my in box, for a collectors game at $5.99. These games are interesting, and always looking for the "H".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best of the Series Wow, this game has everything I love about the “12 Labours of Hercules” series + cats, interesting and various levels, humorous and at the same time romantic story, young and a bit thin Hercules, new challenges on Expert mode, and lots of fun. At the very beginning Hercules we all know lies in his favorite hammock (lol) and starts his wondrous tale of how he met Megara. It was on the seashore where the girl asked him to save her sister and cat. Hercules sets out on a journey to Egypt. On many levels our main goal is to send a note to Megara. This is really cute. On his way Hercules meets mummies, minotaurs and other enemies, as well as our old friends like Medusa and Cyclops. How does this story end? No spoilers: just play and find out! Now about the gameplay. There are 3 difficulty modes, puzzle pieces, bonus levels, special achievements, bonuses you have to use wisely on every level, different obstacles, buildings, enemies and friends having special tasks (Medusa defeats minotaurs, Cyclops bring sheep home etc). If you ever played the games of Hercules series you obviously know all this. Collector’s Edition also has useful guide helping complete the levels in gold time, additional chapter and wallpapers. What are the new features? There are hidden places on the map on several levels, new appearance of the main characters (young Hercules and Megara), interesting tasks (such as destroy the altar or save the cats), nice looking levels, the Pyramid you partly open after finishing every next level in gold time and so on. Why do I think this part is the best one in the series? Of course, this is a really good made, funny and interesting game, but the greatest reason is the mission of saving cats! I adore cats. So I couldn’t stop and played the game far into the night to save all the cats of Ancient Greece while two small fluffy kittens peacefully slept on my lap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Favourite !2 Labours Of Hercules VIII is my new favourite in this series. I can hardly believe that there have been eight in the series. The fun music is back and the sailors are doing all the work and Hercules is sitting back and watching it all until he can show his mighty strength. Loved the new aspects mixed with the old and would recommend this game to all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from UNIQUE LEVEL LOCATIONS MAKE IT REALLY INTERESTING AND FUN TO PLAY 12 Labours of Hercules has always been on my top 10 favorite Time Management Games List because I love Roman and Greek Mythology, and they always have just the right amount of Strategy to make it challenging but still fun to play. I wasn't crazy about the last one, Fleecing the Fleece, because it just seemed to be a repeat of the ones before, but How I Met Megara has upped the ante! I haven't completed the game yet, but every level is so different, so unique, it's almost like playing an entirely different TM series with every level! You aren't just running back and forth on a clear-cut path collecting resources and removing obstacles like hundreds of other TM games. One level you are on a boat, the next on the back of a serpent, and even being chased by mummies in a Pyramid, it's just a really cool theme in my opinion. There are three different modes of difficulty, Relaxed, Casual and Expert, and every level that is completed within Gold Time reveals what's inside the Great Egyptian Pyramid, my only complaint is that it has kind of bland graphics. Each level has a Hidden Puzzle Piece to find which looks like an Ancient Rune Tile and it allows you to assemble 5 different puzzles. I always look for the puzzle piece before clicking on anything which starts the game, that way I don't forget about the puzzle piece or waste time searching for it. You can replay any of the levels to try to get a better score or if you forgot the puzzle piece. There are 22 Achievements or Trophies to earn for tasks such as collecting a resource after completing the level tasks, completing the level without using bonuses or finding 10 puzzle pieces etc. Each Chapter has a Bonus Level or sub-level to play as well (5 Bonus Levels total) This Collector's Edition has 9 Wallpapers, 22 Trophies or Achievements to earn, (which can be viewed on the level map) Hidden Rune Puzzle Pieces, 5 Puzzles to complete once all the pieces have been collected, 5 Bonus sub-levels, 6 Movie Video Cutscenes, and a built-in Strategy Guide, enjoy! 12 LABOURS OF HERCULES SERIES LIST Title***Collector's Edition Release Date***Average Rating 1-12 Labours of Hercules SE only (October 30-2013) 4.0 2-The Cretan Bull SE only (July 21-2014) 3.8 3-Girl Power SE only (January 4-2015) 3.9 4-Mother Nature (August 22-2015) 4.2 5-Kids of Hellas (January 23-2016) 4.3 6-Race For Olympus (November 1-2016) 4.2 7-Fleecing The Fleece (June 20-2017) 3.7 8-How I Met Megara (December 22-2018) n/a by: JetDog Studios

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can't go wrong with Hercules When I first started this game I thought it may be the only time I would ever just give 4 stars to a Hercules game. It wasn't long though thank heavens until it livened up and showed itself to be yet another classic in the series. This time we are in Egypt, with mummies to banish, sheep to bring home and chests to open for resources, and recources to collect also. Thre is for some reason a vending machine that will give you food for gold (well I guess we are in the desert and food is sparse) You will need to work out how much to spend vs keeping your gold to remove crystals. And because it is Hercules, there are puzzle pieces to collect. There is not much new in the mechanics of this game, but I did notice that clicking ahead to far can be dangerous. Although you can change your mind and cancel tasks, sometimes it seems to stick in your workers memory and they seem to do it anyway unless you have lined up a numbered task to replace it. That's new It is nice to be in a different setting, and I am hoping that one of the features that was in the beginning on the ship, of going down secret entrances to collect extra resources will occur again, but if it doesn't it is still everything you expect from a Hercules game. You need strategy, and to use your bonuses wisely. For TM fans it is yet another quality game to make you smile.
