The Tower of Beatrice is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would love to see more games like this, Excellent! I absolutely loved this game! I couldn't stop playing it, it was so alluring and frustrating all at the same time. Similar to my husband lol This was such a fun, complicated, frustrating, and ultimately very satisfying game. I did need to use a walkthrough a few times, I found one online under a ps3 sight listing. (Very Helpful) also take notes, draw pictures, write down everything you do, because you will need to remember these things and also one of the reasons I took off a point is that if you leave the game when you come back you will have to start all over, it's faster if you write down what you did. It doesn't start you back at the beginning just back at the beginning of the level you left off at. I tried to keep playing until I finally made it to a new level then I'd sign off and start anew the next day. It wasn't a really long game, I wish it were but I had a heck of a good time playing it. I hope we see more of these types of adventure games. I'm sorry but I've gotten bored of playing the same kinds of games and doing the same things in each and every one of them! I do highly recommend this game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This Game Rises Above the Crowd I loved this game! It is an escape room style game so it is a challenge, but they do offer clues for when you get stuck. I did need the assistance of a visual walk through on You Tube (I used Immersive XP) but mostly because I would be short of time or get impatient. This game is stylish, entertaining, and not hugely difficult if you pay attention to the clues. The only drawback, and the reason for four stars instead of five, is because you can't exit the game until you finish a level. If you do exit partway through, you lose all your progress and have to start just that level over again upon re-entry into the game. That is a big no-no in my book, as time is a precious commodity. Other than that, I really think this is one of the best games I have played in a long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Different, tricky - and surely not everybody's cup of tea (Based on demo) Dear fishies, give this one a try! For decent information about game mechanics, details and story please read pennmom's review! I don't want to waste your time with repeating those facts. This game is perfect for those who are looking for something else in gaming though I would not call it "fresh" or new: The graphics are simple, a little outdated and remind me of point-and-click-games we could find online more than a decade ago. Pro: You really have to use your grey cells! This one does not hold your hands nor pushes you to the right direction. You have to be creative, stubborn, focused. Contra: Some of the tasks are frustrating since it's not always easy to tell what you have to do next. What I found annoying is the talkativeness of some of the objects/ demons/ whatever you have to interact with (seems they've spent eternity without having someone to talk to and they won't let get hold of you easily!). Furthermore, some of the items are very difficult to spot, and you have to revisit several places a couple of times to proceed. Recommendation: To be honest, I'm not the patient type at all. So I would NOT purchase this game without the possibility to cheat once in a while (yes, there is a two years old walkthrough video which is really, really helpful - so it's no risk at all to get stuck!). Hope many of you will have fun with this one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, right up until the end I loved playing this very challenging game all the way to the last room, where I got stumped. Checking in online walkthroughs, they all say to take the red and green peppers AND THE BLUE GEM BEHIND THEM. I played through the last chapter twice and both times there was no blue gem so, I am trapped in the room. Very disappointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Entertaining! If you like escape room games, this is one for you. The puzzles are challenging (downright maddening in one or two places), and you'll be put through your paces trying to get out of the tower. Beatrice's sense of humor is delightful, and the assorted pop culture references are a trip. The hand-holding is minimal, which is good (usually). I was hoping for something in the sphere of The Cabinets of Doctor Arcana, and this does come reasonably close, although not quite as spellbinding to me. The ending was relatively anticlimactic and I confess to having needed a walkthrough for the final confrontation. Still, it was a good one to play and if you're looking for something to sharpen your wits, definitely give the demo a go.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be really good if ... I thought the graphics in the game were really fantastic. I would have enjoyed finishing the game, to be honest, if the gameplay were not so awkward and difficult. I was very much looking forward to the idea of the game, which did not disappoint. For those of us who still remember the good, old-fashioned point and click adventures that did not revolve around hidden objects, it has a lot of promise. Unfortunately, the game play is very difficult. There isn't really any sign of what you can and can't click, no highlights, no cursor change, nothing. I found that with no idea what was going on in the environment, the gameplay was awkward and frustrating, and I ended up quitting in the first level. If the gameplay were updated a little, it would definitely be worth the time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too frustrating to be enjoyable It was very frustrating trying to find all the items as nothing was logical and the "hint" was only a question mark showing areas where you needed to do something, not a real hint. I finally looked online for a walk through to help. It could be a really good game since the story line is interesting, but feels unfinished to me. I didn't find it enjoyable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lost the Plot I played the 1st level, went on to the second when my phone rang. I tried to see where I could quit and save, but alas no such facility exists. Very poor, I will not now, therefore, buy this game.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impossible to play There are no instructions or guidance on how to play this game. You enter a room with nothing and no help. I even tried the walkthrough without any success. I quit after three tries to get out of the first room!
