Secrets of the Vikings: Mystery Island is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute Fun Game This is my first review of any game on Big Fish, however I just had to comment on it. The graphics are a little cartoony but the game play is just fun. There are many achievements, lots of bombs and challenges, and you get to build a village(one of my favorite things to do.) There are three levels of game play with relaxed and timed. Also for the gamers with OCD you can replay a level to get a perfect score. There are mini games two altho I didn't come across them during the Demo. Try the game it just might be a sleeper, I know I will be purchasing it soon. Bye and Good Gaming!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a buy for me! I realize that the play in this match 3 has been done before...but...I like it still !! There is a variety of challenges, cute characters, and lots of explosion. What's not to like? I recommend this game!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well its value for money. It was so hard for me to rate this game as I have simply played so many practically the same, but with different themed tiles. The tiles in this one are very colourful and pleasant, and if you have never played a similar game from this developer you will probably quite like it. I just don't need to own 'yet another one' With the loot you get from your gameboards you will rebuild a viking village and the levels are quite varied with different 'blocks' and explosive bonuses that appear for large matches. Ice, double grass, extra gold under some tiles. Its actually quite a cute game. If you get a 'perfect' you also get to choose a mystery prize from some cups. There are 3 modes of play, relax, normal and hard. So I guess there is something for all there. I cant really say there is anything wrong with this game, its just not very exciting. I just find it all a bit tedious after playing so many exactly the same. This developer does one thing right..long lasting games, so you do get good value from your purchase. Try the demo and see. We are all different. On that basis I will recommend it but not buy it lol.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from IF YOU LIKE EXPLODING BOMBS...??? This isn't a very challenging Match 3 game, but it's decent enough to keep you entertained for a while. The tiles are very colorful and perfectly sized, there are various mini-games and hidden object scenes to break up the monotony and there are a ton of obstacles to overcome, it even has a bit of a Viking storyline to go along with it. So what's the problem? Nothing really, I just prefer more of a challenge, and this game is perfectly fine for whiling away the hours. You can play in a Medium or Hard Difficulty Mode (both give you plenty of time) or a Relaxed, Untimed Mode and there are 3 Cursor options as well as 35 Achievements to earn. After each level, you can choose 1/5 Mugs to earn extra resources or coins which are used to build your Viking Camp. You'll earn up to 3-Stars per level, and you can replay levels in which you earn 2-Stars or less. The Coins you earn can be used to purchase various Upgrades in the Shop at a specific level interval, such as a Daggar to remove a tile of your choice. Large matches will reward you with a Bomb, the larger the match, the bigger the Bomb. There seems to be a ton of large match opportunities, thus, there's a ton of Bomb's to explode which is one of the reasons the game seems less challenging. Some levels simply require matching a ton of a single specific tile, such as Blueberries. I found these levels to be flat out boring because that resource is in abundance and there's no obstacles to have to overcome. The board layouts are mostly square with no hard to reach nooks or crannies to drive you mad. (which I actually prefer :) As you progress, Obstacles are added that require making matches of whichever tile is trapped with Ice Blocks, for example, others require making adjacent matches to bust through Earth, Snow, or Wooden Walls. After a few Match 3 levels, you get to play a Hidden Object Scene or mini-game, such as Solitaire. It's a decent Match 3 game, it's an easy-breezy kind of game with the usual features, nothing really special about it, but it's not a bad game by any means.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed in this Game. Disappointed in the Game" Total waste of money ! I am up to level 90 still only have 3 bonuses treasure chest knife and Freyas sword can't buy the mine or upgrade farms..Have no idea how to go back and play levels which someone suggested you can no walk thru to help and no forums set up to help. Very disappointed in this game wished I hadn't bought it. Showed promise when first started.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Extremely boring I had to try this game out for myself considering the different reviews...was it boring or great? I found it was indeed boring. Wasn't much challenge, graphics and sound are mediocre. I actually couldn't wait for the demo to be finished. I would skip this one. There are much better match-3 games out there.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too easy for me If you love easy games then this match 3 is ideal but I like more of a challenge. I found it odd that this game started with a hog which put me in the wrong mood,it would have been far better to start with a match 3 after all this is a match 3 game. I found it confusing where the exploding fruit was the same color as the leaves and on one of the levels I played the tiles were very similar and seemed to blend together. It is a long time since we have had a decent match 3 and I just found this too easy. as I am always saying we are all different, some will like this so always try the demo

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not buy it Boring Boring Boring I found the game very slow in the movement of the pieces, the progression of the game and there is no fun element to it. I played up to level 7 and that was all. some of the objects such as the horn and the barrel where difficult to see and the squares under the objects were dark and difficult to see if it had been cleared. Boring Boring Boring

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SLOW and VERY BORING ... Almost all of the items in the tiles are brown so they are hard to distinguish. The tile layouts are BORING and extremely repetitive and you often get stuck because you cannot see clearly where to make the next move ... so that makes the game very SLOW. Definitely would not buy this. Going to uninstall it now.
