Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Like It A Lot! I don't usually write a lot of reviews, but upon seeing some of the negative reviews on here, I had to download and try this griddler game. An hour zipped by, and I found myself buying it. Very nice sound and graphics, very calming game. I urge you to give this one a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great game I enjoyed this mosaic game. Some of the mosaics are quite difficult but I only found a few where I simply had to use a hint or a bomb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Engrossing Mosaic Game Don't quite understand the negative reviews, as like pennmom36, I thought this was an excellent game, and whilst some aspects are slightly different to the norm, it is still well worth playing. I especially liked that when you mouse along a line, it counts the cells as you go, so you don't have to do so yourself. I thought the graphics were excellent and the theme quite engaging. The finished images were excellent and were easily identified. In my book, this is a winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THESE WILDLIFE-THEMED MOSAICS ARE BEAUTIFUL ?¸.·´¯`·. I love nature and all its creatures big and small, even as a kid I was the one dragging home every stray, homeless, or injured critter I came across, and I wasn't afraid of anything but spiders. (yep, they still creep me out, especially wolf spiders eek!) I fell in love with this mosaic game immediately because the completed images were beautiful pictures of wilderness and the wildlife that inhabit them. The pictures are colorful and bright, with natural and authentic contrasting hues. They paid attention to every detail, even the filled-in cells have shading to give them a dimensional appearance. There are 144 Mosaic levels and 8 mini-games and they are logic-based puzzles. There is a Butterfly feature that will reveal a single cell, and a Bomb to reveal a 3x3 area. A bomb seems a little weird and out of place doesn't it, why not call it a bulldozer that wipes out 1/3 or the rainforest? (at least it wasn't a spider) For those of you who have never played a Mosaic Griddler, this would be a great game to start with because it is a fairly easy version. There are numbers on each row and column which indicates how many filled-in cells there are and each group of numbers must be separated by at least one empty or crossed-off cell. It's easier to fill in the larger groups of numbers first, and then cross-off cells that couldn't possibly contain a filled-in cell. You can switch between Color bubbles when you get stuck which will ultimately narrow down the playing field, and there is a Hint feature available if you get stumped, but it has to recharge before you can use it again. Lately, I have become bored with my beloved penguins and thought I was just getting bored with the genre as a whole but PixQuake has proved that I still love this genre...especially when the road takes me through the Wilderness!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from DIFFERENT FROM PREVIOUS VERSIONS My review is based on playing the one hour demo. The graphics in this game seem to be more bright and eye-pleasing. As with the previous games, the grids can be solved using logic; no guessing required. I also liked the fact that information and comments were shown with each grid, instead of at the end of several grids, although the description of the game says there will be quotes periodically. The layout of the color selections, hints, power-ups and allowed errors have changed, for the better, IMHO. Five stars are attainable for each grid, with each mistake removing a star; five mistakes, five stars. I did not see anything similar to collecting flowers and souvenir items as in previous games. Perhaps this game could have had us collecting wild flowers as well as animals. However, with 144 levels, it will provide a lot of game play.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun game but stop the fluttering I played this game through the complete trial. I love this type of game and would have enjoyed it more but for the fluttering all through the game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Visually poor Having the available 'fill in' squares with dot in middle makes it visually confusing. When you first look at it looks as if these are the background squares! The colours could be stronger

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Huge Disappointment I was really expecting a nice, fun mosaics game. The title right away made me envision beauty and relaxed gameplay. Well, my "nature hike" lasted for 20 minutes of the demo, and that was 20 minutes too long. It did involve 4 levels. The only instructions were to paint with left click and fill in blanks with right click. 3 options, 1 being full screen, the 2nd was remove custom cursor. Sorry, can't recall the third. I saw no tile selections and no handy dandy anything to make the game appealing in any way, at least for me. It was just bare basics. If there were any helpful tools, I honestly didn't stay long enough to discover. The music started out lovely enough, but soon turned into a series of quick, repetitious notes that I did not enjoy. Don't know, maybe the mosaic games I own have me spoiled!! The spaces to be filled in on the grid were white with gray dot in their center. The tiles were large and brightly colored. No color wheel, just choose which color you want from the colored circles. I didn't check out how many hints available. When I clicked on the eye, it just gave me the background view. The backgrounds were very clear, beautiful scenes with vivid colors. Each finished puzzle was titled and included a short quip below it. The tiles being nice and big were easy on the eyes. The 4 grids I finished were very easy. If you try the demo, you just might find this game to be great. I just couldn't find that special fun factor that suits what I look for in a mosaics game. God Bless....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Logical Mosaics are my absolute favorite of all puzzles because they require logic. I tried the demo and the the very first game required guesswork because you couldn't solve it logically. In addition the graphics are ordinary and the game offers nothing new. There are much much better Mosaic games out there.
