Pixel Art 8 is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I find this very relaxing I am thoroughly enjoying this game. With everything going on in the world today, I find this to be very relaxing. It gives my over stressed mind a break. I don't expect the final picture to a Rembrandt; it's pixels. Once you've completed a picture, go back out and look at the finished product. Some are pretty good; a couple look like pixels. Oh wait!! They are pixels! Although strategy and time management games are my favorite, it is nice to take a break and just click and color :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Things Come To Those Who Wait But with this series it is usually wait too long! Pixel Art has many more of these fun games out there and I wish BF would bring them to us more quickly. We are way behind! I was so thrilled to find Number 8 today!! And it is really nice! The pictures are done with beautiful colors, with a nice mix of shades and muted tones, giving the images more depth and interest. A great range of lovely images in today's release. We have more of the larger images this time which creates more challenge and a greater sense of satisfaction. The larger variety of colors creates a much prettier picture and I just love watching my work of art come together and seeing the finished "masterpiece." I seldom use the wonderful feature that fills in an entire area of one color. It saves time but I enjoy working on the images without it unless the space is enormous. I love Pixel Art and own them all. They have given me countless relaxing hours of enjoyment. The features are great and all work smoothly and are so helpful. I especially appreciate being able to enlarge the image and the ease of moving it around the screen to reach all the areas is a big plus. I do wish there was a direct route from image to the next levels though, so I can see my next project before I start on it. As it is now, unless I am a dumb-dumb, I have to go back to main menu first and then to the levels. But it doesn't bother me enough to gripe about it or deduct a star from my rating. The music is soothing and includes a variety of nature sounds, just perfect for this type of game, IMO. Now if we could have more of the Paint By Number games that I know are available, I would be a very happy, satisfied fishie. The coloring games are a wonderful genre for all ages and a good way to feel creative even though we may not be otherwise artistic. And no fuss, no muss. Sure works for me!! Pixel Art is terrific for me, as an escape from the more serious games and there are no demons or monsters anywhere!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOOK! I'M AN ARTIST!! WOO HOOOO! I have all the Pixel Art games except this one and that will be taken care of shortly! I enjoy the HUGE pictures/scenes the best!! # The darkening slider not only makes the background darker, it makes all the incidents of the number you are working on stand out more. It's makes it easier for my old eyes!! # As far as the Cursor is concerned, I don't care for the game Cursor in some games...I use the one I have on my computer all the time. The one in some games "floats around" too much for me and in others, it's just too large! # I don't know when it would be necessary to have an "undo" button, because if you put purple where a number OR entire section should have been green, you just put the proper number on top of the boo boo. # It is wonderful that the devs were able to give us another game so soon! It's just what we need at the present time. I imagine many of us are relying on BFG and the devs they choose to help us keep our minds busy and our hearts calmer until the day when the entire world is healed.. . THANK YOU BIG FISH...GOD BLESS!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Can't Buy These Games Fast Enough!!! This makes the eighth game I own, and I've never regretted it. Best series of games I've ever owned, and when the next one comes out, I'll race to get that one. Keep 'em coming!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these I always look weekly in anticipation of another pixel art offering. I especially like the larger, more colorful pics, the ones that sometimes take hours to do instead of minutes. Keep up the good work, Big Fish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOVE THE LARGER IMAGES! I love the larger, more detailed images on this eighth edition because you get a sense of accomplishment compared to the smaller images that can be completed with just 10 colors. When a picture has 20-30 different colors it's really fun to watch the scene unfold, little by little, pixel by pixel, besides, it gives you more "in the zone" time to just block out the business of the world and find some zen time :) I'd still like to see a few options added such as an Undo button, a Cursor option of different widths (the current custom cursor is way too large and bulky) a full-color palette for the Background Colors, a full-color palette to choose the color of "shaded" current numbered pixels, and an option to save the completed images as a screensaver or wallpaper, makes sense, right? When I played the first Pixel Art game, I wasn't a fan because the demo portion mostly offers small puzzles with very few pixels and even fewer details. I purchased the original Pixel Art game with an about to expire PCC and to my delight, I discovered that the puzzles became more intense after the demo and I was hooked! I found my "ZEN" these puzzles are totally relaxing and a great way to just zone out and chillax. When I say intense, I just mean more intricate, because the puzzles don't actually require a lot of thought, but that's the beauty of it...it's not supposed to be a brain-burner! The accompanying music is soothing with occasional nature sounds blended into the background to make the experience even more peaceful, with frogs and crickets chirping or the sounds of waves as they ebb and flow. There's not a whole lot to have to figure out, it's about as uncomplicated and basic as it gets so as long as someone can recognize numbers, they should be able to play! Pixel Art is a computer version of Paint by Numbers. Each pixel has a number and you chose the corresponding color bubble from the palette (also numbered) on the right side, and you simply left click to fill in all the numbers with the correct color, you can hold the mouse button and swipe through large groupings as well. There is a Slider Bar that allows you to zoom in & out (there's a "fit" tab as well) you can also move the entire page around by right-clicking and dragging. There is an auto-fill feature that will fill in large groups of pixels in a particular color by double-clicking, but that feature has to recharge after each use, besides, it's more satisfying to color them yourself. The last feature is a slider bar that allows you to change the color of the background, it really only allows you to change the colors in shades of grey to black. To me, it would make more sense to have an entire color scale available on a paint by numbers game though, wouldn't it? Come join me on the Zen Pixel Art Train, I'll save ya a seat!
