Travel Mosaics 12: Majestic London is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Royal Pleasure I really love all the games of this series but “Travel Mosaics 12: Majestic London” is something special. I’d even say this is the next level of relaxing. As always we draw the pictures choosing the right places for cubes and empty spaces looking at the numbers. But this time you can imagine yourself sitting near the river of Thames or in the Hyde park. I mean new nice sounds in the game, calming and beautiful, like wash of waves or light breeze. It was a great idea, and exactly what the game needed all the time before. There are also other new features. Now descriptions of different sightseeing places in London appear at the beginning of every next chapter (there are 20 chapters including 8 levels for 20 places). It’s good if you're going to get into majestic mood of beautiful London. When you make mistakes and need a new life, you can answer the quiz question. And the new feature is possibility to open description and find the correct answer right there, in the question window. Among other things, I especially like the pictures we draw on the levels. All of them are interesting, unusual and nice. It’s sometimes hard to understand what the picture represents until you finish it. But after it gets open entirely, you understand that it is an amazing surprise and miracle. Travel Mosaics 12 is a great continuation of the series, and probably my favorite game of this type, at least for now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from With The Latest Tweaks, This Game Is Top Notch! This series has continued to slowly improve, and with this 12th version, there is absolutely nothing to find fault with. In a previous episode, some reviewers complained about the objectionable background sound effects (fireworks), and also the overdone game sound effects. I am very pleased to find that the developers listened, and rectified those aspects with this one. All the other positive aspects of previous games in the series have been replicated here, making for a very enjoyable gaming experience indeed. HeavenBound7729 mentioned that the developers left a post on here after seeing reviews of Episode 11, vowing to rectify things reviewers were complaining about. That was both an unexpected and wonderful thing. It should happen more often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Time Player Worth waiting for. These games are great for just unwinding from a busy day. Music is nice and colors are good. Need more of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just amazing! The game met my expectations. It's fun, relaxing and challenging :) I like the background sound on the levels, like a magic spell, so calming. I could see that each new episode has some changes, improvements, I guess developers read reviews and take some of them serious. Good for us and for them, it is very nice. I wish to see some Scandinavian cities in Travel Mosaics one day, LoL :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Fun With The Walkers! So pleased to have another visit from these quirky tourists. I like this series a lot and spend many relaxing hours with the Walkers. Learning interesting facts about our destination is a fun extra. I think the pictures are always so cute and colorful, great variety. The pics are easy to recognize which is a small detail that I appreciate. Graphics always nice and bright, tiles easy on the eyes. Earning coins for shopping is always fun. The features are very good and I really like the new day and night. Music is fine on this vacation, though in a couple of games it was awful. Travel Mosaics always runs smoothly on my PC. I am adding Majestic London to my mosaics collection. It is such a welcome and refreshing series. The Penguins have just totally overstayed their welcome, IMO. So my nonograms are this sweet series and one other, as they always deliver quality fun and have not become boring. Hopefully they will bring us fun little changes every now and then, to keep our interest and enthusiasm growing. I was very surprised to see a statement from JetDogs amongst the reviews for Travel Mosaics 11, which I own. It was a gesture that left a very positive impression on me and indicates that they really care about our reviews and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love these game I really love these games. I have all of them, they are fun. Beware however when you download and install there is a pop up asking you to agree and download but it is from 2015. This game will download without it. I do not play sound but everything else is great and I look forward to the next ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great New Feature I love this series and have them all. I was very glad to see that now if you have to answer a quiz question to get you lives back that the right answer is in the book at the bottom of the screen. No more frustration of having to remember a fact. I would recommend this game to anyone!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this Family but too Easy I love this family as this is my favorite. Have I played too many of these that makes it too easy - I dont think so. I was at Level 12 in no time doing each puzzle in record time. There was a few changes. It shows what your screen will look like using different squares. Also when you made a mistake you could do a few more on purpose and get the question to fix everything. Before you had to remember the answer or look it up. Now the book icon is right there and you can look up the answer which almost felt like cheating. I like the ideal of having something to work for and that is why I like the puzzle at end of each level. Even then they seemed too easy. I was solving them too quickly. I hope it gets harder. I was unable to play the last game that was put out at Christmas due to technical problems - sadly. This one I had no problems so far on Windows 10. Although I did notice that usually on the screen where you buy gifts (and where is a family member no where around) you could click on the picture where you get badges and see what they were. They are have completed a certain level or buy all gifts. It did not work on my game. I would automatedly get a badge but had no ideal what it was for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tower Bridge v Big Ben! I have all these Travel Mosaics games and bought this one without bothering with the trial. Having lived all my life in England, I was curious to see if the 'facts' about London would be correct. So far I've discovered that Tower Bridge is 'the most recognisable symbol of London'. Really?? Big Ben is far more recognisable, not to mention much more photographed! Incidentally, it's the bell that's called Big Ben, not the clock. I've also discovered that Buckingham Palace is 'home' to many of the royals. It's not. A few of them have apartments or offices there but have main homes elsewhere. The Queen lives there only semi-permanently; she prefers Windsor Castle or Balmoral. The game is the same as all the others, which is just as it should be; don't fix something if it's not broken! However they have changed the sounds, which is not a change for the better. Now it sounds like someone scrunching up paper rather than the pretty chiming sounds from previous games. The puzzles seem far too easy and the items to buy are disappointing stereotypes. I like to play on the hard mode, which is very challenging but much more fun! As ever this is a good quality game but don't believe some of the London 'facts'; they're a bit outdated!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from WELL, AT LEAST THE "BELLS & WHISTLES" NOISES ARE GONE! I have a lot of respect for this developer but try as I may, I just don't feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I play these Mosaics. I appreciate the fact that they finally abolished all the beeping alert noises every time you completed a grouping of colors or earned a new life, but the pulsating color bubbles, cartoonish gummy-candy looking tiles, and annoying loop music soundtracks agitates me and distracts me from concentrating. I played this game for a few levels when it was first released and nothing about it beckoned me to return until today, after playing a new detective-themed mosaic that blew my socks off. I tried this game immediately after playing that game to compare apples to apples, and discovered that it was more like comparing apples to gummy-bears? There are options for the crossed-off cells such as light or dark cells and there are Five Tile fill-in options to choose from, a Bubble style, a square with rounded corners, a Princess Cut Diamond shape, a multi-faceted tile, and a lunar-style. You can play in an Easy mode which crosses off cells for you and applies the appropriate colors, a Normal mode, or a Difficult mode which only crosses off squares when the entire row and column have been completed, and you have to manually switch between colors. As you fill in the cells you will earn coins, Heart/Lives or Power-up recharges. Power-ups, such as a Hammer, Sun, Lightning or Bombs, originally don't have much coverage but increases with each upgrade. (can be upgraded twice) There are 7 Achievement Trophies to earn, and you can buy various souvenirs in the Shop. Each of the Locations has 6 main Mosaic levels, 1 bonus level, and 1 additional puzzle (jigsaw variations) You must earn at least 2 Stars on each main level to open the bonus level, and you must earn a minimum of 2 stars on the Bonus Level to open the additional puzzle variation. You also have to earn at least 1 Star in each of the main levels to unlock the next location or group of mosaic levels. If you lose all your heart lives you will be given the opportunity to answer a question about the story to refill the heart-life meter.
