Detectives United III: Timeless Voyage Collector's Edition is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Voyage to Good game about a 41/2 star. One does search around for a good deal of items but they are used rather quickly . Most items are found easily . Mini games are just right and I didn't use a hint but one time during the game. Didn't insult my intelligence since it is just a game but some may think other wise. I liked the first two better but this one is good and does seem short with the bonus game being better than most Collector's Editions I have played . They change the voice actors with the new woman actor is not as good as the others. Try it out . If you like the trial game the rest is the same pretty much.If you don't this game is not for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Welcome back Detectives! Ok, so I played it through, I got right into it, Demo ended so I bought it. Including the bonus and secret room I would say the whole thing took me about 4 hours to complete. I loved it. Got sucked right in. It has been a while where I got sucked in and HAD to keep playing. Good job!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Timelessness, Please I like this series and for me, this is the best game yet. I play to be immersed in the storyline and in this game. story really is the past, present, and future. It requires focus for time is its own master. The creativity of this storyline really is superb and I applaud the developers for trying some new concepts, in particular the writers/editors: Cindy Phelps, Corinne Hutchinson, and Dan Lefever. As I watched the credits, I wanted to give a shout out to the storyline creators. Well done! Both the game and bonus chapter are fast-paced so it does not take long to complete. That said, a game around timelessness deserves more than one play (it seems to me) and I look forward to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A GREAT ADDITION TO THE DETECTIVES UNITED SERIES Detectives United lll Timeless Voyage is a terrific game that I thoroughly enjoyed playing from the first scene straight through to the end of the Bonus Chapter. What can I say but that I loved this game! It is certainly one that I will add to my collection and play again and again. The Detectives United games have all been excellent and I applaud the bringing together of the detectives from other popular series produced by this developer. Yes, I admit that I am a bit tired of the same things that need to be found – hundreds of keys, candles, pieces of portraits and whatever else it is we must find. At this point I have played nearly 2,000 HOPA games and I still love them because I play for the storylines, the graphics, the characters and yes, even the joy of finding those bits and pieces. The storyline in Timeless Voyage is very creative with our characters moving back and forth between the past, present, and future to solve the case. The gameplay was enjoyable, as were the HOS. The HOS were a mix of silhouette and lists and most were creative. Some of the HOS were ones I thoroughly enjoyed although there were two scenes where the items were almost invisible, and I completed those by clicking around the scenes and using a few hints. I enjoyed the two scenes where we had to match swatches to parts of the picture where they are found. Sad to say but I did skip several of the puzzles because I hate flipping one thing that will change others or navigating a boat down a river. Most of the other puzzles were okay but seemed far too easy. This developer does not provide a lot of collectibles, but I did appreciate that many were not activate until we visited some scenes more than once. I felt that this was a great touch that added to the gameplay. I also appreciated the slide out bar on the right side of the screen that had a tally of what we had found among the various collectibles are we progressed in the game. Overall the Collector’s Edition is a great value because of the Strategy Guide that I needed to peek at more than once. Timeless Voyage is a great game and an excellent addition to the other games in the series. I purchased the game as soon as it was released and was not disappointed. As always, I recommend that you try the demo of the game to see if it is one that you will enjoy. Happy gaming!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Detectives unite again, and it keeps getting better I really liked the first DU game, so I bought the second one without doing the trial and liked it even more. I was very happy when BFG announced the arrival of the third installment, and again bought it sight unseen. The sequel hook in the bonus chapter of the second game was too intriguing, I had to find out what was happening. Long story short, this series keeps getting more interesting and I like each new installment better than the last. Dark Anna returns and makes life difficult for our heroes, splitting them up into different periods in time to collect powerful artifacts. What are they? Why does she want them? How will our heroes find each other again? How much is Richard going to snark at his daughter? I love all three of the characters (Brown is my favorite), and the fact that you alternate between playing them is a lot of fun because you get to experience the game in so many different ways. I really love their increasing attachment to each other and the way they interact; Anna calling her friends "handsome men" was adorable, and Brown worrying about James in the bonus chapter was sweet. The puzzles are tricky but not usually frustrating, the storyline is well paced, and the sound and visual quality is excellent. I really only have a few minor complaints. One is super minor; the background noise of the game included the repetitive sound of a phone ringing, and I found it distracting. It was a little too real, especially during scenes where such a sound doesn't logically belong. I liked the 'case cards' which we could find during the course of the adventure, but they had so many spelling errors! These games are usually much better about that, so I found it jarring to read things like "dimention" and "confromt." My other complaint is about Agent Shade. I noticed in the previous games, especially Darkest Shrine, that she's really... calm. In this one she's even calmer, if that's possible. Her expression just seems dazed, and her tone of voice and the slow way she talks makes her come across as incredibly detached from everything, like she's sleepwalking or something. Calm is good, but she's borderline narcoleptic. But like I said, very minor quarrels. Otherwise it's a great game in a great series, and I can't wait for the next one. (There will be a next one, right? Don't leave us hanging!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CRUISING THROUGH TIME REVIEW BASED UPON THE ENTIRE GAME 7 Chapters Plus a 3-Part Bonus Chapter – Strategy Guide: 43 pages (My time: 5 Hours) OPINION: Ahoy mateys! Join the three detectives, Anna Gray, James Blackthorne, and Agent Brown as they board ship for a “dream” cruise – an all-expense paid nightmare provided by the vengeful evildoer, Dark Anna Gray. Zigzag through time as you join each detective searching for three relics sought by this evildoer from a parallel universe. Along for the ride will be Anna’s deceased dear ole dad, Richard, to add a little humor to this otherwise dark game. For me, this is another fantastic game in this series. It is a short game but one which is creatively designed with an excellent storyline. It is another episode in the battle between the three detectives from Detectives United and their doppelgangers from the Dark Shrine. There is a chapter dedicated to each detective, each set in a different time period (present, future, and ancient past). Each detective is on a quest to locate an artifact at the bequest of the misguided Dark Anna. I found the graphics very dark - a touch of film noir. The dark scenes combined with an eerie musical background provide a somber, chilling atmosphere. The collectibles include morphing objects, case cards, and puzzle pieces which create four (4) pictures once they are collected. I found some of the case cards difficult to locate; however, I found the puzzle pieces and morphing objects easy to spot within the scenes. There is a secret room at the end of the game which provides the player opportunity to search for new objects within the scenes from the game. There are fifteen (15) HOP scenes. Thirteen (13) of these can be replayed at the end of the game. Most are lists of items or silhouette; however, they are creatively designed and highly interactive. There are two which were my favorites. One has the player locating constellations on a series of star maps. The other is one in which the player locates fragments of a painting within the painting itself. There are also seven (7) mini-HOP scenes which are similar in design. They are silhouette scenes in which a small number of items (5 to 7) are to be found in sequential order. There are twenty (20) mini-games. Thirteen (13) of these can be replayed at the end of the game. The first puzzle is a Rube-Goldberg puzzle containing three (3) sequential puzzles. I wish the developer had provided more this type of mini-game. The mini-games vary in difficultly. Some have multiple parts with each part increasing in difficulty. MECHANICS: • Four (4) levels of play including a customized version. • 18 achievements. • Collect 30 morphing objects, 14 Case Cards, and 20 puzzle pieces for 4 pictures • 12 wallpapers along with concept art, music and video sequences • Play all 3 detectives on the case. • Replay 13 HOP scenes and 13 mini-games • Secret Room – Return to the scenes from the game to find additional objects within them BONUS CHAPTER: It is a sequel. Join the three detectives as they battle Morpheus, an ancient evil entity from the main game. He wishes to conquer the universe using his hypnotic powers to make slaves out of the inhabitants of other worlds. Having destroyed all the ancient texts which tell how to destroy his power, it is up to the three detectives to find another way to locate that information. It is a long chapter and worthy of the collector’s edition designation. There are four (4) HOP scenes and two (2) mini-HOP scenes. There are also five (5) mini-games. Continue collecting the collectibles within this chapter. SPOILERS: HERE ARE SOME OF THE MINI-GAMES AFTER THE DEMO: A. Maze puzzle. Choose one of 3 paths at the right time to avoid guards in your path. 3X Increases in difficulty with one new guard or drone added with each scene. B. Strategy puzzle. Fill in a grid with more of tokens than your opponent, a ghostly knight. You will be given several choices in which to move. If you land next to your opponent's token(s), you will capture his, turning them into your design. C. Switch puzzle. Move chess pieces around a chess-like board so their geometric designed bottoms match up with the geometric design on the board. BONUS CHAPTER: D. Connection puzzle. Connect like-colored gears with each other on a grid without the connections crossing each other. All gears will be visited once E. Sequence/Alignment puzzle. Align the planets in a straight line on an orrery. Moving one planet affects the others. F. Painting puzzle. Paint flowers according to a given diagram

Rated 4 out of 5 by from IF THE SHIP'S NAME ALMOST SAYS TITANIC, WAVE GOODBYE FROM THE SHORE! Completed Game approximately 4.5 hours (including completion of all mini-games & CE Bonus Chapter) 19 Main Game Scene Locations +8 Bonus Chapter Difficulty Range: Beginner The past is in the past...unless it's in the future or the present because dark forces are at play here when Anti-Mystery Tracker Agent Anna Gray arranges a little vacation for her doppelganger opposites. The real Anna Gray from Grim Tales, James Blackthorne from Haunted Hotel, and Agent Dorian Brown from Mystery Trackers, unwittingly board the SS TITAN (IC) destination PAST-PRESENT-FUTURE, they don't even get the pleasure of each other's company! Unfortunately, the game itself is super easy and everything is predictable, you'll know what object is needed to complete every task, where to look, what to do and when and where to use things. You'll know where the HO scenes will be located the second you walk in a room, you'll know to open up scenes where there are cabinets and drawers and know they will all need emblems. At one point, I thought this developer had abandoned the "million emblems" required to unlock absolutely every door, drawer and cabinet in a 200 room mansion but they just keep slipping back into that dark anti-parallel "been there, done that, scenario????? Helper/Gadget: There are 4 Gadgets in this game, one of which is dear ole dad, Richard, the other 3 are Connectors from the Mystery Trackers Agency which is basically a giant flip-phone used by all three agents. All of the gadgets were unobtrusive and didn't really require solving a mini-game (with the exception of 1 puzzle that followed its use. Morphing Objects/Collectibles: (CE version only) There are 14 Morphing Case Cards with descriptions and 30 Non-Linear Morphing Objects. Although the morphs are very easy to spot, I am thrilled that they have included morphs that don't necessarily morph when you first visit the scene. (usually morphs when you switch characters) Most of the Zoom Zones have a Puzzle Fragment that automatically completes 4 Screensavers. Hidden Object Scenes: There are 15 Hidden Object Scenes +4 in the CE Bonus Chapter and 7 Zoom Zone HOP's where you search for items that match silhouetted shapes, shown one at a time. I rarely impressed with any of the HO Scenes by Elephant because the items practically jump out at you. Do me a favor and try to find the items w/o looking at the list and I'll betcha you can find most objects! There are Interactive List Finds, Multiples of Items Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, and Symbol Finds. Some of the location settings were interesting but there were really only 2 that were unique, one that required flipping over stones to create murals of the listed objects, and my personal favorite, finding and placing parts on a totem pole. There are no alternate games available. Mini-Games: There are 20 Mini-Games +2 in the CE Bonus Chapter. Most of the games are standard Elephant games that you've probably played several times. Here are a few of the ones I enjoyed the most: 1-A 3-part Puzzle Variation game (not exactly Rube Goldberg material?) the first puzzle requires folding a map horizontally & vertically, the second puzzle requires dragging horizontal & vertical puzzle strips, the third is the famous Elephant torn photo where you have to drag fragments into place...easy but fun. 2-Place all bars on the grid, each bar has filled & empty circles of varying patterns and the goal is to cover the entire grid with circles. 3-Fire a cannonball at four different targets by clicking to stop the red horizontal & vertical lines when they are centered in the target. Each target becomes slightly more challenging because the speed increases each time. 4-Sneak past the guards by choosing paths 1-3 at the correct times per scene. 5-Connect gears to their matching colored mates without intersecting connections. Bonus Chapter (Collector's Edition version only) Continue your parallel voyage to battle Morpheus before he conquers the universe and enslaves humanity through hypnosis! There are 8 Scene Locations in this average-length chapter which has only 2 Mini-Games and 4 Hidden Object Scenes. You will search for the remaining 4 Morphing Case Cards, 8 Morphing Objects, and 5 Zoom Zone Puzzle Fragments which allows you to complete the fourth and final screensaver. Collector's Edition Extra's 12 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art Pictures, 4 Screensavers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 18 Achievements, 13 Replayable Mini-Games, 13 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes 14 Morphing Case Cards, 30 Non-Linear Morphing Objects 20 Zoom Zone Puzzle Fragments, a Secret Room to search for Hidden Objects, 7 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter (actually 3 chapters to play as Anna Gray-James Blackthorn, and Dorian Brown) and a Built-In Strategy Guide. DETECTIVES UNITED SERIES LIST Title***Collector's Edition Release Date***Average Rating 1-Origins (August 9-2018) 4.4 2-The Darkest Shrine (May 2-2019) 3.9 3-Timeless Voyage (February 6-2020) n/a by: Elephant Games

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love this series but that was it? I was so happy to see another game is this series, I downloaded it straight away and set to work on solving a case about Dark Anna. Then it seemed like a couple of hours went by and I was done. I kept thinking there had to be more to the game, even with the bonus chapter, I finished the entire game in a single afternoon. I also had problems with the phone device ringing for no reason and had to go out of the game and back in to make the sound stop. I'm not sure if there was a rush to get this completed but maybe next time, it can be a bit more involved than this one was. Plus how the characters got to certain places made no sense, they would just appear there and it was like we were supposed to know how that happened. Overall I love this series and I look forward to the next one, but I was disappointed with how short it was.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Started Good, But... I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the first HO scene, where you had to fish through all of the computer files and photo sections to find your objects. Good grief, that was brilliant on the creators part. Congrats!!!!! The game guys took typical, stale HO scenes and actually made us WORK for it, which was amazing and about time to be honest. Things have been way too easy for too long now. Unfortunately, while the game started brilliantly, it failed in the long run, due to having your head try and keep up with THREE different characters you're supposed to be. You switch back & forth between those 3 characters AND you go back and forth between the present and the future...or was it the past, present & future? I'm still confused. Too much. It got ridiculously annoying. Along with all of that, you had to keep dealing with the girls dead father, who was an icky blue color (Lol). It's almost as if the game people had 100 ideas, then implimented them all at once. Here's the sum up: We LOVED working for the hidden objects in those computer files and many of the side puzzles were fun as well. Going back & forth between 3 different characters, keep up with that AND try to keep up with the time periods and story line? Yeah, not so much fun. I ended up loving the beginning of the game and then hating it not long after. Too bad. This was off to a great start, then fell completely flat for me. If you can keep what you did with the HO scenes, yet remove the part where we have to keep switching back & forth between 3 people, multiple time periods and lose the dead guy, you'd have a winner game. Her dead father doesn't seem necessary. You can keep a story line simple, but at the same time, make us truly work for our HO scenes & puzzles. One other thing...When we search for morphing objects, puzzle pieces and or game cards, figurines, etc, THAT needs to be a lot harder as well. All of those little things we hunt for in each new scene are way too easy & have been for way too long. We're smart out here guys...Make us work for everything a bit harder...ok?
