12 Labours of Hercules X: Greed for Speed Collector's Edition is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A simple game play, but fun to play! I chose the casual mode when playing this game. It's very simple to play, but here it really requires time management in playing it. At first I was still confused about how to win the level quickly, but gradually I got used to it and enjoyed playing. Plus the visuals and animations are nice and neat, colorful and easy to see. I recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Herc is back! I can't say much without giving things away. The story-line is ... not really there ... but, to me, that never really mattered with these games. The fun factor is there with an addition of certain flags that will make keeping up with those pesky H stones easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREED FOR NEW HERCULES GAMES! The games of this series have never disappointed me, and “Greed for Speed” is not an exception. This time our brave Hercules faces a strange creature moving extremely fast and destroying everything on its path. Herc’s looking for the different ways to increase his speed and catch this creature up. So we found ourselves in various places and circumstances. Every next level doesn’t look alike the others. I like the levels with tiny Hercules and giant plants as well as snowy mountains. The gameplay is clear and well-known to everybody who ever played games of this genre. First levels are easy, but after they become difficult and challenging. If you like hardcore you can play on Expert mode and beat the records. But I prefer Normal mode that gives me a chance to have a rest and enjoy the beauty of the game. Relaxed mode is kind of meditation, I guess. Collector’s Edition has additional levels, wallpapers and guide. Other reviewers write that they don’t like new version of guide (blue arrows). As to me, I always hated text-and-pictures-based guide because I always had to open and close guide window. It was very annoying. Blue arrows are much better. Of course they don’t guarantee that you will beat all the records. You still have to think and click quickly. I turn the guide arrows on only if I don’t get which road I should clear at first to earn maximum score. Normally I play without hints but sometimes they are really helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thank You, Thank You, Thank You I love this series. I own all of them and have been replaying them throughout this #StayAtHome order. As with most of the others, it has three levels of difficulty, Relax, Casual, and Expert. It also has the challenge of beating the "Developer's Score" which is quite hard on some levels and encourages multiple playing of levels. It DOES have the puzzle pieces. There is a plaque with a ? on it near where the piece is hidden. Sometimes it is under an object such as a bush or sheep or water, but easy enough to find to get the bonus level. The guide that comes with the CE utilizes arrows to indicate what object should be obtained next. This is like the previous version's guide which I find easier than having to click to a picture and try to remember when you go back to the live game. The CE also comes with bonus levels just like the previous versions. I bought the CE because I had the credits and love the series. The graphics are somewhat updated and took me a couple levels to figure out which building type was which. There is an added difficulty of the production buildings not necessarily next to the retrieval pad. If you truly like this type of time management game and/or a fan of the series, I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another good Hercules game I'll start this by mentioning that I have all the Labours games as collectors editions. I think that the game developers are always under pressure to add new features and advance the games. So far, this is based only on the demo length game. Finding the puzzle pieces are actually easier to find in this game because of the banner that indicates the general location of the puzzle piece. In some of the previous games the puzzle pieces were very difficult to find. At least this way you have the general location. So far the speed-ups are generously available. I also like the ladders to the extra locations. Overall the gameplay seems to be a continuation of the previous game, with a few small tweaks. Which is the way I personally like to see games advance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun and funny! I like the new items like flowers, birds, sheep, etc. and did not find them distracting at all. You don't have to interact with the scenery to win but it makes the game so much more fun! I'm playing in casual mode; it's timed but fairly easy to earn gold and collect puzzle pieces. It's a buy for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Labours Are Back “12 Labours of Hercules” is one of my favorite game series for many years. I saw Hercules in the snow and in the desert, under water and on the Moon, fighting gods and beasts and saving cats. But now developers decided to get back to the classic myths about Hercules (obviously, they have their own version of it). I am so happy about that! I’m a big fan of Greek mythology, and they reminded me very interesting (but underrated) story about the fastest creature in the whole Greece (I hope it’s not a spoiler). Thanks! The gameplay is classic, too. I mean classic for all the games of this series. You have to clear the roads, build the buildings, and collect resources. Hercules moves the boulders and other heavy objects, Megara grows the bushes, and the Worker makes everything else. You can play Relaxed, Casual or Expert mode, earn achievements and beat the records. There is a puzzle piece on every level. You get them, solve a jigsaw, and open up the bonus level. Btw, all the levels are interesting and unique in their own way. The graphics is bright and colorful. The music is funny and not annoying. There are also some new features in the “Hercules 10.” One of them is “hidden” puzzle pieces. I went through several phases about that. On the first level I was a bit confused cuz I couldn’t find the puzzle piece (I always was good at this). On the second level there appeared a message that the puzzle piece must be hidden somewhere around the sign with question mark on it. Finally I found the puzzle piece under the bush. It made be angry—I just wanted to look for the pieces as I always looked for. On the next level I knew what to do: look for a sign, click on the bushes and other objects near it to find the puzzle pieces. I accepted it. On the next levels it became even fun. Something like a new challenge: guess on the first try where (under what) the puzzle piece is hidden. So, I was even a bit sad when there were the common puzzle pieces on the few next levels. Conclusion: you have to get used to this new feature before start enjoying it. As to me, I like it after all. Collector’s Edition includes extra chapter about Hercules’ adventures (yay, extra levels to play), wallpapers, and guide (blue arrows). I’d buy this edition just to play more levels and enjoy this game longer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good game Good game. Very challenging to find the puzzle pieces. Abit different from previous games in that you have to click other objects to make them disappear in order for the puzzle pieces to appear. One downside is that the strategy guide is not as good as previous games. Overall I've enjoyed the game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best 12 Labours in a long, long time I love these games but the last few have fallen flat, I almost passed on this one. So glad that I didn't. The challenge is back! Combine that with some nifty new features and I am hooked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WOULDN'T BUY THE CE VERSION, BUT.... I'll buy the sv when it comes out. Thankfully you can turn off those irritating blue arrows by turning off the tutorial. The game itself is no different from all the other Herc games, but it's still fun. I'd like some Cretan bulls to destroy, or enemies of some kind.
