Rune Stones Quest 3 is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from evaluation I like this game. I enjoy. The stones are slightly monotonous, similar in color and therefore not visible sharply.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fabulous graphics! Some of the hidden object games could learn a few things from this. Although the graphics are the best on the cut-scenes, it is still a great game. Great job everyone!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from AMAZING GRAPHICS, REPETITIVE, YET STRANGELY ADDICTIVE If I hadn't stuck with the entire demo, I'd probably only given this game 2-3 Stars because the first few levels were boring and the instructions were some of the most confusing and contradicting instructions I've ever read. But those are the kind of things that only make me more determined, I had to dig my claws in to find out what made this game tick, and to be perfectly honest, an hour and a half later I was still at a loss as to why all of a sudden half of the tiles became Spiderweb encased for seemingly no reason at all in the blink of an eye, and why I can make a large match one minute and not get rewarded with a Power-up, but the next time I do, unless it's because the Power-up falls from the top of the screen? Anyway, I may not understand all the why's, but I like the weird challenges, I like the unique styles, and I love the 3D graphics! As I said, the first several levels are very plain and boring, the Match 3 board has wooden cells, the icons are wooden crates, shovels, axes, wooden buckets, and lanterns that are all similar in color or texture so everything seemed plain Jane. Then I was tasked with catching fireflies, and they added colorful flowers, toadstools, green leaves, and colorful gems in purple, blue, teal, gold, and pink. You can play in Relaxed or Timed Mode and choose between an Easy, Normal, or Hard Difficulty mode. The goals vary on each level, you may have to make matches over all Dark Cells, or gather a specified amount of specific Tiles. Some of the levels have objects that are stationary and they can't be moved, it's kind of weird because you can pick them up but they allow you to move them anywhere. Power-ups include Explosive Fire, Hammers, and Lightning that destroy in various patterns such as vertical or horizontal lines or in a small adjacent radius. Obstacles such as Wooden Boxes may contain hidden objects and may or may not need to be exposed to complete the level. You will rebuild the Dwarven Kingdom that was destroyed in Rune Stones Quest 2, with the resources earned playing the Match 3 levels as well. This is probably not going to be a Match 3 game that most fans will enjoy. I didn't dig it at first, but the more I played it, the more engaging it became. I think it's worthy of a PCC, it's kept me entertained with the uniqueness of the tasks and I really love the 3D graphics. This is definitely a game I recommend trying the demo first, but you really do need to try the entire demo to give it a fair chance :) RUNE STONES QUEST SERIES LIST Title***Release Date***Average Rating 1-Rune Stones Quest 1 (November 13 2012) 3.0 2-Rune Stones Quest 2 (June 15-2018) 2.0 3-Rune Stones Quest 3 (June 3-2020) n/a by: Star Ashes Game Development

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An acquired taste This is the sort of game that some will love and some will hate . I did not like the previous game but the mechanics have improved on this and it takes a bit of time to get into the workings of this game. You can play on timed or not and easy, normal or hard. For me I am on easy and untimed for the moment as I needed to get into the ins and outs of this game. Be very aware of the pests that pop up. You need to avoid making matches of 3 or more either vertically or horizontally either side of the pest otherwise you will get cobwebs, ice , thorns etc to hinder you. I found it a great challenge to complete a level without setting anything off and have now accomplished this a few times but you need to take your time to achieve this, well I do anyway. There are several reasons I only gave this a 4 star rating. There are only 64 levels which I feel is not enough for a match 3 game. You can not repeat a level you have to keep going Some of the tiles are very alike, a pick axe and a shovel are difficult to tell the difference if you are going for speed. The first few levels do not really give you the full potential of this game and as has already been said play the demo to the end. It is not a speedy game and not going to give you masses of bonuses etc but for me I like something a bit different. Try the demo and see what you think. I am taking my time with this to avoid setting off the traps and have already got 3 user names on the go. I just wish you could replay levels.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting challenge I have read the other reviews and find them lacking understanding of the game. I find it interesting and challenging. The instructions are clear but so different from other Match 3 games. If you get a spider web box that appear at random, you have to very careful not to get three in a row vertically next to them. This will cause the spider webs to expand and cover more blocks. This will cause you to make matches next to them to clear them. When you get 4 or more blocks matched you do get bonuses. But unlike other Match 3 games, they appear at random in other boxes on the board. They do not appear at the location of the match. It is a challenging process to not make matches next to spider boxes and to look for bonuses. If you aren't careful you can cover your entire board with spider webs. My only problem with the game is the bonuses blend in to the game to easily and it is hard to find them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Amazing Graphics but Excruciatingly Slow Game Play Moving objects is like dragging them through heavy glue. The rules of the game are not explained clearly, the text contains many errors - I gave up before the demo was over.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Try the demo..for me its just ok..I need a new computer I played this game on a 32 bit computer..and whilst I could actually see the game, it was clunky and played slowly. I had to click to swap each tile. So I tried to judge it on what it might be like if I had a better medium to play it on. Its seems ok, and as another reviewer stated it gets a bit better as you go and the tiles are not always totally dull, but they are quite small and to be honest I found the gameplay too repetitive. There were different bonuses and obstacles that appeared, but I wasn't enjoying myself. The most exciting part was the graphics around the levels which were quite rich and. entertaining. The quests are really just one repair after another. There is hard, normal and easy modes. So make sure you try the demo and make sure your computer can cope with this download which I think is meant for 64 bit machines? I think its only just ok. Nothing flash, nothing really novel. Even on a good machine I think I would have passed. Cheers

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I'm Not Sure What To Make Of This Game! It is an odd one, to be sure, in my opinion. It was confusing because I had trouble understanding the instructions. I ended up just plunking along, trying to figure things out. I did make it to the end of the demo, because I'm stubborn and kept hoping that AHA! moment would hit me...but it never happened. I didn't much care for the boards, the colors were drab and the tiles were very blah. But the background was colorful. I'm glad there was a Relaxed Mode, otherwise my progress would have been stymied early in the game. The levels I played each had a different goal with created more interest. There were basic obstacles along with bunches of spider webs, the power-ups seemed okay. It was challenging, mostly due to the confusion that followed me throughout the demo. I liked the building involved which was accomplished with the resources earned on each level in this Match 3 game. But, honestly, my patience would wear thin. trying to complete the entire game. It just didn't have that user-friendly element and it had become tedious and a bit boring by the end of the demo. I don't see myself buying this game, since playing made me a little up-tight with frustration. It may appeal to others, who may find a satisfying challenge with this Match 3 adventure and the task of rebuilding a Dwarven Kingdom. Building is a fun project, but I just couldn't find enough fun here, to make it worthwhile. I would suggest trying the demo on this one. You might find something special about it, that I overlooked. At least I hope you do. I am recommending only slightly, because my Match 3 requirements may have kept me from seeing the fun, if any!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Graphics - Not much else It was a 64 bit so I downloaded it as there are not many match3's ready for Catalina. I thought it might be fun. The graphics are lovely and you can get all sorts of things in the game ... but ... you can't do anything with them but get more. So it becomes the same each game. Way too easy even in hard mode and not much else unless you like game after game of match 3.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Boring Didn't buy tried the free Play. The graphics are pretty good but you fly through the scenery so fast to see much and you can't do your own scrolling which is too bad. Same boring match 3's over and over and I don't see where you can earn any type of power ups to make it go faster. They seem to love to freeze a move or net it in a web over and over again. Just Yuk!
