Fables Mosaic: Rapunzel is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Typical Mosaic Game Not every game has to be off the charts difficult or exciting. Sometimes, when the brain needs to not think about things, it is good to just have a game one can play that will do that. This is a nice 'get you mind off your problems' game and for that reason I will be buying this game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from RAPUNZEL...SHE HAD A 17 YEAR QUARANTINE LOCKDOWN! The developer made a few changes since Red Riding Hood, they did away with that dreadful shockwave effect that occured every time you finished a group of cells and they added a few new features to Rapunzel.. yet this Fairy Tale is missing something? Let's start with what they added, like a single Custom Cursor...Rapunzel has been locked in a tower, against her will her entire life, so I suppose asking for "options" would just be rude. There are now 12 Tile Variations to choose from including my favorite Lego style, there's even a Duplo lego style for the tiny taters. Although there are 10 other variations such as granite, chiseled, diamond-cut, beveled, square or curved edges, etc. they only vary in texture not sheen, in otherwords, they don't have one that looks super shiny or one in a matte finish. There are also 3 Crossed-off options which basically varies in the size and font of the X and the design of the crossed of cell center (diamond-dot).. yet this Fairy Tale is missing something? You can play in a Normal Mode which crosses off the cells one by one or an Advanced Mode which only crosses off the numbers when the entire row or column has been filled in correctly. There are 100 Mosaic Puzzles and you can earn up to 3-Stars per level with a maximum of 6 Mistakes allowed per puzzle, but stars are deducted when you make a mistake or use the available Hint feature. In the previous game, Red Riding Hood, the tutorial and explanations of the Tools were quite dreadful and very confusing but Rapunzel has cleared thing up a bit, kinda, sorta, somewhat (my, what big ears you have granny, let down your hair so I can hear you?) The Magic Wand will correctly fill a cell of your choice and The Magic Mirror will correctly fill a 3x3 grid area without penalty. Both tools recharge by uncovering tool icons located under various cells. (can you hear me now Rapunzel?)...yet this Fairy Tale is still missing something? There is a slight lag between clicking on a cell and the cell actually being filled in which is frustrating and broke my concentration of counting cells as I was 2-3 steps ahead of the filling in part and had to wait for it to catch up! I have also come across a couple of puzzles that have forced me to use a Tool to solve the puzzle (one before one after demo) because there was no "logical" way to solve it otherwise, this isn't acceptable, I hate being forced to use power-ups, tools, hints, etc. The colors are just so-so, they aren't what I'd expect in a Fairy Tale, they are really neutral and at times it was almost as if they were only trying to appeal towards a male audience...which is okay, but if you're going to do that, chose a different theme other than a Rapunzel Fairy Tale perhaps? (and next time, consider the version that isn't so "dark & grim" perhaps?) The completed images were just plain ole drab and boring as well, I get that the pictures were depicting a story, but a chair, a table, a bed, a fetus... Really??? Rated 3 out of 5 by from Plain Jane Game I found this game rather drab. The graphics were weak in appeal, colors and images were unattractive. The puzzles were very easy to complete, so without the challenge it would swiftly become boring. The sounds were annoying, the tutorial offered little guidance, features and hint system left me feeling kind of "HUH??" I finished 6 levels in the demo and knew it would be a no-buy. As with Little Red Riding Hood, it is lacking the special creative touch that makes a mosaic game so much fun. It is easy enough for beginners, kids too with a little adult help. I would probably like the fairytale pictures more, at a much younger age. Not a really bad game, but missing that special something that I feel makes a noticeable difference in quality. I really enjoy fairytale themes, and hope that Fairytale Mosaics will work on some changes that will bring us a smashing new game, next time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty pictures please? Pictures are simple and fairy-ly ;/} easy. The colors are rather drab. Wouldn't a fairy tale be bright colors? I played the hour sample and if you want simple with just a little thought, this is for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too much repetition I bought this because I enjoyed the demo but there is a lot of duplication. For example there is flower bush, bush (that looks just like flower bush) and there is Prince hiding behind bush which looks like all the other bushes. There are many versions of "witch" that pretty much all look alike. I became pretty bored with it before the end. Play is pretty easy but hard enough to offer some challenge. I never used a hint or any of the helps and never got less than 2 out of 3 stars - and mostly 3 stars throughout. I quit after 7 of the 12 rounds. Each round has 10 puzzles. I recommend this game only to the extent that if I run out of other more interesting games I may return and play the rest. Some people who love mosaics will probably enjoy to some degree.
